This video shows you how to install a new front driver side lower ball joint from TRQ on your 2002-2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Car and truck suspensions combine a number of moving parts for safe and stable handling. The ball joint is the crucial moving component that ties those parts together. The ball-in-socket joint can wear out and loosen over time. Or, the rubber protective boot can tear, allowing contaminants to seize the joint. Bad ball joints are a common failure point on vehicle inspections because they lead to unsafe driving conditions. Fortunately, they are relatively easy to replace with the right know-how.
This repair was done on a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4.2L Sport Utility 4-Door 4WD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer
2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Thank you for all the Trailblazer content it's extremely helpful.
Did mine today. Now all the suspension parts are like new again. These trucks are great vehicles. I will keep mine going even if I need to rebuild the transmission. Worth it
To get the ball joint actually out, I had to put an extra jack lift to put pressure underneath the control arm in order to isolate the force and vibration to the ball joint itself. I was actually able to use the ball joint press kit and carefully fit the largest press tube I had on the bottom off-center and barely on the area where there is almost no lip. I did not use anything on the top portion, just the screw assembly straight on the ball joint. After much effort, PB blaster and banging on the side of the control arm with a hammer she came loose 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 just a tip for those having trouble.
