Thanks, another learning opportunity for me sir.
Thank you. It always matters to me learning the right way. And I do from you as a professional mechanic tech.👍😊🇺🇸
Your welcome anytime Man. I appreciate you
I often wonder how hard it must be to do final torquing at ride height in small vehicles. Old Chevy trucks are a long gone dream.
on the floor? nearly impossible in most cases. a drive on rack works well for this. Therefore if I'm moving over to an alignment rack, I will leave them snug for the short trip (Noting that they are loose) now that I have a rack its even better, but still not easy in some cases. (nothing seems to have gotten easier) especially if you want to properly torque them.
Nice job, Will. I bought a SnapOn BJP1 ball joint press 5 or 6 years ago before the price got insane. And it was on promo! Astro makes nice tools, especially for the price. I own some, mostly Nano stuff, and they've held up well in a heavy DIY environment.
Thanks Man, that's a really nice set you have. Astro now has the 78197 Goliath, maybe a little more comparable to the snap on as far as materials. with a big price deferince of course, snap on is built for us so its hard to compare the two but if money is a restraint, I'm happy with the Astro so far. thanks for sharing your experience
great instructive video, thanks for helping me save some money, owe you a beer sir!
Glad it helped! g.page/r/CbL855OQaC9WEBM/review

I replaced the upper control arms days ago and will tackle the balljoints this week.Could gm have designed these balljoints with two Cclips to secure them making the grooved section that passes through the spindle more of a snug fit vs a super tight fit to prevent one from having to buy/rent/use a bj press or is there just no way a design like I mentioned would work?? IOW,is there just no way around the bj needing to be designed to require a press or does it just depend on vehicle year/make/model if a press will be needed or not?? Thanks and great instructional video.
I see you didn't get the axle nut out right?
