I got mine 15 years ago and I still wear them. I don't know if the quality of the new ones has changed compared to mine, but I would still consider getting another pair. I've only had to replace the earpads a few times...

These headphones are 40 years old not 20. I'm 38 and these were around in the 90s they were around before I was even born.
