Last month, it felt so good to walk towards a SCAT aircraft, turn sharply to the left, and board my Singapore Airlines flight in business class at the adjacent gate.

SCAT will always be the #2 airline.
I flew SCAT about 14 years ago from Almaty to Atyrau and back. It lived up to its name. Only aircraft I’ve flown where the seat was physically disconnected from the aircraft (literally one screw connecting it) and where the landing both ends was akin to landing on an aircraft carrier. Takes a brave or foolish person to fly SCAT more than once.

I’ve flown with them many times. I’ve been stuck for 5 hours onboard waiting to take off in -30, seen ground crew still refuelling when pilot started to taxi, most of their older smaller planes had one bald tyre and one with tread on each landing gear axle. The interior of the older planes reminded me of the 1970’s, it was always an “experience”

Josh, the reason it seems like it is taking forever is because you are not preoccupied and keeping track of time. In the long business class flights, you have meals, entertainment, and sleep. You are also comfortable in your seat. In economy with no thrills you are bored and cant wait to get off the flight and in a very uncomfortable seat.

Josh, the lowest airport in the world is Bar Yehuda in Israel which is 1,200 feet below sea level. However, it is only a regional airport, not international.

I’ve flown with SCAT B737-500 last December, no de-icing whatsoever despite outside temperature being around -6 Celsius… we were on a first morning flight that day. The wing was contaminated.

7:00 - exactly what I felt like when I flown this airline back in 2023, coming from qatar to almaty felt like normal but then a two hour flight on scat form almaty to aktobe felt never ending.

Great video again! I was initially fuming at the next to no service given by the flight crew, but it made sense when you told us that it was a budget airline. I have to check out Noel's video about this airline!

I feel your pain. I have taken 3 flights on Air Asia's A320 aircraft where my knees were jammed hard into the seat in front. Thankfully the recent flights were in non-reclining seats, so the agony was less.
I had a flight with this airline in June 2023 from Moscow to Astana and back and it was a real pleasure to fly with them. The service was on a top level, it’s such a rare thing when lowcoster provides hot meals and blankets with pillows during the flight
In regards to traveling its your expectations which add to how a travel feels. I have learned to not expect first class service everywhere I go. So it never bothers me.
The airline's name seems appropriate, at least in English. "Scat" is another word for "poop".🤣 On the positive side, no plug doors blew out of that 737-8 MAX.... nor did the MCAS system fail. So overall, since Josh got to his destination alive, I'd call this trip a success...... tho' his knees may not be feeling so great after spending 3 hours jammed up against the seat in front of him.

SCAT...What a great name for a budget airline. Marriott BONVoy is a good program. I don't quite get the name but I have enjoyed the perks.
Fly Oman Air from Muscat to Khasab, noone that I can find has done a review of the Khasab airport experience, it's the most amazing landing/takeoff, straits of Hormuz on one side and moutains on the other, you can even see Iran across the straits.

The name of that airline is why you should always have a native speaker of the language you're marketing your product in to check your product's name beforehand.
You might try TezJet in Kyrgyzstan and their Avro route Bishkek Osh...quite interesting

Hello, did you know that actually this plane was for Belavia Belarusian airlines but because of sanctions the plane was not delivered. You can see that by the desingn of the cabin an by the exit sign that is in Russian.
And i have a question, will you fly Belavia this year or the next year.

I heard many "not so great" things about SCAT. I finally tried them for the first time last year on a short flight from Astana to Pavlodar. This plane in Josh's video looks brand new comparing to the plane I flew on, which was at least 30 years old. Despite the plane being old, I would say the flight was smooth and perfect. It was on time, and the legroom wasn't terrible (maybe I'm saying so because it was a short flight). They even distributed bottles of water, which is something they wouldn't do in other low-cost airlines in Kazakhstan such as Fly Arystan. Thanks for the awesome video of the "not too bad" SCAT.

Not a biggy, but the 737-800 model is NOT a classic. It is part of the NG family. The 300/400/500 are the ones referred to as classic.
