I created this video for my architecture photography channel bit.ly/ATArchitecture. If you follow me for this type of work PLEASE head to that channel and subscribe there. The follow up to this video covering fast and efficient architectural image processing in Lightroom will ONLY BE SHARED exclusively on that channel. Thanks for watching and I hope to see you on my new channel!
Hi Anthony, my name is Adrian Fernandez. I'm a photographer based in NY. I've been following your channel intensively in the last months as I'm preparing my self to launch an architectural and interior photography business. I have experience in the field although not as my main source of work. I'm a photographer and sculptor and i usually work with galleries and so on. The architectural photography I've done mainly for coffee table books. You have a unique and thorough method of explaining the postproduction process that I admire and take notes avidly. It's great content, dense enough to stand aside by its quality. As topics that I'm constantly inquiring about, are the equipment selection that you make, based on each locations and work demandings, and the pricing of the whole work. While there are related videos with similar topics I believe having that conversation with you would be unique in it's own way. Perharps it could be addressed in future videos. Thanks in advance for your attention. Cheers
Thanks mate. If you enjoyed this video you'll probably like my new channel dedicated to architecture editing: bit.ly/ATArchitecture . It's where I'm posting new content like this and more on pricing for profit etc.
You shoot with Nikon Z right? I also bracket. Usually 3, or 2. But with the Sony A7R4 I feel the dynamic range is usually good enough to cover me. What do you think? Those 61mpx files + 3 brackets can be a pain on my harddrives and memory.
Hi Bart. Yeah I'm on Nikon, but the good ol' D850. At ISO64 it's got 14.8 stops of dynamic range end the Sony A7R4 has 14 at iso 80. So they're comparable but the D850 has the slight edge on that, whereas the Sony's got pixels to burn. Even though I shoot 5 brackets I'll usually only be using the best 3 for the final merge. A base + one for highlight control and one for shadows. The 45mp x 5 (or more with flash shots) per final photo certainly add up in memory demands but I don't sweat it too much. I've got a lot of storage.
Bart, head on over to my dedicated channel for architecture photography. bit.ly/ATArchitecture I'm transitioning my content on this topic over there. For example the follow up video is only on that channel.
Nice one Miguel. This is where you need to head for that video: bit.ly/ATArchitecture It's my new architecture photography and editing channel and that's where I'll post more on the topic of pricing too. 😀
