I've really been enjoying your videos. You have a very soothing presentation style and I love that you add enough science/history to explain the topic that you are presenting as well as explaining all of the gear you are using. Keep up the good work. Much appreciated.
Thank you for your video on Saturn. Got to see Saturn at a small observatory in south Texas when we stayed at a state park. Timing just happened to be right. The astronomer didn't tell us what we would be looking at. I was completely blown away when it was my turn to look into the lense. There were no atheist's that night.
Hi Kwasi, I'm new to your channel. I really like your vids my friend. I must say, I don't blame you for taking all your gear into the park opposite the houses, those white LED street lamps are a nightmare to filter out when imaging! Clear Skies! Wes, Liverpool England
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It was engaging and educational, while also being strangely relaxing. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to the next one.
I normally shoot everything with asiair plus on my edge hd 9.25. I would like to try Sharpcap or fire capture and control the camera and mount with my computer. What cables and connections do I need to make this work? I’m not sure how to get started with the connections.
Greetings fellow Maryland amateur astronomer, and astrophotographer. I am so glad that UA-cam suggested your channel to me. I've been away from astrophotography for a while, but I am in the process of picking it up again. I'll be following your channel closely.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hello, Kwasi! Wonderful images of one of my favorite planets🤗 SATURN! She looks beautiful, doesn't she? Well, I have a Popular Science by Celestron Starsense Explorer DX 100AZ Refractor and was able to see Saturn dancing across the field of view. Now, I wasn't able to get a mirrorless camera to take pictures through my scope but I did download an App called ProCam X Lite to work with my Samsung Galaxy A03s's camera, and was able to photograph Venus in early morning hours almost two weeks ago, and cried. It was in crescent phase. Beautiful. I can see Saturn alright through the eyepiece but attaching the smartphone and using the ProCam App still am having trouble with exposure and White balance, and focus. Though I did get some images, some resemble an oblong with two ears! I got Jupiter with moons but again, attaching the smartphone the images are too bright and wavy. Any suggestions? Love your videos, Kwasi🤗
@@edgardodominguez2159 Hello, Edgardo, I was using the phone's camera Pro mode. I allowed the Auto mode first to gage the difference. Then used Manual mode to sharpen. Sometimes it worked but not all the time. I also switched to the App ProCam X Lite and did the same thing because it has more options to work with. I am going to try again on Friday or weekend. I also used a 2x Barlow lens with 20mm lens.
There's no thread-on attachments on my imaging train. Everything slides into their respective barrels and I tighten them down with the included set screws. Then I place the train into the 1.25 inch barrel behind the telescope just like sliding down a star diagonal or eyepiece.
That's just the way it is sometimes. Feel free to share my videos to anyone who might benefit from them. Word-of-mouth referrals is another great way to help the channel grow, so I appreciate your support!
Hello Kwasi I took this a couple of nights ago with very similar equipment. I think the C925 is a nice size for the planets without being too heavy to move around. Nice work. Just interested did you find the ADC helped much ? Ive considered one. Clear skies.
Thanks Ollie! I've found using an ADC to be quite useful personally, as it minimizes some things that I do in post processing. You can also use the "RGB Align" function in RegiStax for the same effect. I do experience some stacking artifacts when I do the "Do All" function afterwards sometimes, so I prefer to use the ADC out in the field.
Little bit of lift in the Rings in the front of the Planet, Can you see through that optically or is everything processed through a PC with a screen. I had a landlord who had a what I remember as a 10 or 12 inch scope, (it was like what a Sea Captain would use but larger and wrapped in Leather), and we could see Jupiter and a few Moons. It is awesome seeing it in real life. Completely different than a Monitor. *edit looking at a thumb of your Collection of telescopes I realized that they measure the size by the Lense, this was maybe a four inch lense. It was a foot or so long.
Yep, you'll be able to see the ring tilt both visually through an eyepiece and photographically when imaging with FireCapture for example. I personally tried both methods, and it was a fun experience!

👍
This is the same scope I am using and have been trying to get the right image train. What are you attaching your barlow to?

Well done!
This video felt slow at first, but once I got into it, it was really informative. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for watching Stephen, and I appreciate your feedback
Where's the Peeps?

Great work! That barlow did the trick getting closer :)

Very good photo!
Imagine having 147 moons. There would be no such thing as night! I like Jupiter the best. I hope one day it lights up and we'll have 2 suns! :D
Having two suns within the solar system would introduce the intricacies of the Three Body Problem. It would be interesting to think about!
