As weird as this sounds, if you get actual Orbeez brand Orbeez they wont expand past a certain size. I tested this by get some branded Orbeez and knock off brand from the dollar store. The ones from the dollar store kept expanding long after the actual Orbeez stopped.
FenrirsLover there's a chance that the dollar store one could be the one for plants ? There's this jelly like thing some plant shops sell and meant to replace soil. So the more water you put, the bigger and the more it retains it. Tested it before with a single one and it expanded pretty big until it exploded in the water.
@@YanneyanArt the ones I got were in the kids section and only expanded to a certain size, but it was still bigger than the branded Orbeez. But that's interesting.
Actually way before orbeez commercials came out on my tv, i used to buy a brand of "orbeez " called water babies from my local iceccream truck and im sure that orbeez were a name for a toy brand just like the "knock off " so its not really a knock off because waterbabies or crystal ballls or whatever brand you have seen were either inspired by orbeez or orbeez were inspired from the "knock off's"
In regards to the hand sanitizer, I think it depends on the brand too... I've had issues with getting things to float in it when I was trying something out. One thing I think would work well is clear hair gel though.
I have a suggestion that will work almost perfectly!!! I have made it myself. Hydrate orbeez to its fullest potential and then blend it in a blender or just crush it up by sqeezing them through a fine cloth. Then add some water to it and the toys!
I know you said it wouldn't work if you crushed the Orbeez, but what if you blended the balls in a blender before adding water? Would the powder make a jelly substance
That's what I thought too. I think in the first video about this toy she said the powder to make the jelly is the same stuff that water beads are made with, so if you grind the dry balls to a powder, it could come out the same, I think.
even if you tried using a blender to blend the small beads i dont think it will turn to powder, infact i think it will just turn into small hard crystals that would end up looking like crushed orbeez when added with water
To get bubbles out of hand sanitizer you do a slow boil (like if you were melting chocolate). With the sanitizer in a glass container and the container in a pot with water 3/4 way up. Any small remaining air bubbles can be removed with an eye dropper. I use sanitizer to make better insect displays, because the stay suspended in the jar rather than sink to the bottom.
Just make sure you have the orbeez absorb the maximum amount of water they can, i made these displays with orbeez a few years back and i still have them in my room and i never had to refill the water
I really hope the hand sanitizer one does work I see a lot of pros to using it as a replacement. It’s cheap (at least in the US) and I think it might even prevent molding because the alcohol in it would well sanitize the toys! A cute idea for a diy could be to take the label off of a cutely shaped hand sanitizer bottle and submerge some cute things into it then but the pump lid back of that way you could still use it and set it on a desk as a cuter way to have sanitizer around 💜
I hate it when youtubers say, " I will post updates on Instagram (or any other social media platform). What if the children watching aren't aloud to have any social media?! (Btw I love your channel other than the Instagram thing)
I just check on IG. She forget to cover the sanitizer one so a top layer evaporated/dried up, but the lower half still looked really good. She made a second jar with a lid, but no updates on it since. As of Sep 6, 2019, the last update was 48 weeks ago.
Lindsey Beaber no, usually with slime, objects like charms sink to the bottom. That’s why most slime sellers add the charm to the outside of the container instead of putting it the slime when they package orders.
The bubbles in the hand sanitizer are leftover from the manufacturing process. It comes from a concentrated gel. Then lots of water is added to the concentrate to make it into the consistency of the hand sanitizer you are used to. But, you could avoid the issue of bubbles using shower gel. I think Dial would work the best, but it truly is what clear shower gels are available where people live.
Hi joanna The hand sanitizer jelly world diy attempt because hand sanitizer is basically alcohol and will evaporate with little heat as it is volatile. As we use the sanitizer and rub it with our hands it vanishes and evaporates just like that the experiment will fail as when the liquid will come in contact with air it will evaporate Thanks!!
I don't even have kids. I can't care less about toys. But for some reason I was expecting this update. She is so calm and passionate about this tanks 😂
Don’t press read more Yeah i don’t do that sorry 😁 Edit: Sorry to sound like those people who always says thank you because they got lots of likes. But I’m gonna do that but how did this get 36 likes
I tried out the orbeez one, I used little beads and characters and it’s in my window rn, it looks amazing. The orbeez did grow a little but they didn’t absorb so much water, I’ve kept it for a month already and it’s still amazing xx
In regards to the hand sanitizer, I've seen people put plastic fish in them and stuff like that! It's really cute and you get a toy when you use up the soap!
hii maqaroon !! I used baking soda + contact lens solution for my slime ( experiment ) but it always leaves a hard layer :// can you do a tutorial / explain on why my slime made with contact lens solution have a hard layer ? I’m currently using borax but it doesn’t leave a hard layer so I’m not sure why it leaves a hard layer when I use contact lends solution and backing soda ://
I have an idea. If the orbeez is the same material as the original, can’t you just crush the orbeez, let it absorb as much liquid as possible first, and use that? I might be wrong, just a thought.
I was thinking why not put the orbeez through a blender, after they're swollen with water, because if you did it before then they would be hard and might hurt your blender somehow. She cannot be correct when she claims they "keep on absorbing water". No, there has to be a limit to how much water they will absorb. She just didn't leave them submerged long enough to find it.
Hand Sanitizer can actually be used to preserve insects! My sister does it all the time, all of hers have held up well for months. In order to get rid of the air bubbles from the sanitizer you have to individually suck them out, they don't clear up on their own
The orbeez method does work you just have to do one of two things. 1. Pre soak the orbeez in a big container of water so that they reach maximum size with water still remaining 'loose' around them. Then take the maximized orbeez and out them in your container of choice. Make sure you use distilled water and sterilized containers and you to help prevent algae growth. 2. Place the orbeez in a sealable strong container and add water until they expand. Add toys then add more water and seal the container. MAKE SURE IF YOU ARE USING A GLASS CONTAINER THAT IT IS VERY THICK! There will be pressure and a thin glass container could in theory break.
Ou should blend the orbieez with a blender, then maybe they would stay small. Or you could blend them while they are soaked and then blend them and then add more water until everything is almost fully absorbed and then blend them once more, maybe that will work! ~ n
My suggestion is using the absorbent from inside baby diapers. I did a project on it and it is sodium polyacrylate. I think you should try mixing it with coloured water or something.
How about using aloe Vera gel?
The green color would make it hard to see the figures as it would only make them look darker.
PeregrineFluff there are clear ones tho
Aloe vera gel without any coloring should be clear, and clear aloe vera exists in shops too
It will go off.

It should depend on thickness. The brand is a part of it but when it’s about having things to float it should need to have thickness
Yes hair gel works

This will probably be extremely expensive, but hair gel may work!
Maybe the dollar store or online would be cheaper?
That's what I was thinking 😊
Probably
Yeah
@@chaitea957 , that's a great idea!
What if you used clear OVER ACTIVATED slime?? Idk

Nah.

Yuwei Cheng OMMG Natur Republic has the best aloe gel
Yes
the texture of the jelly world mixture reminds me of texture of the gel inside ice packs! i wonder if that would work at all.
Katie Hart what a great idea!
Idk the texture of the ice packs is too liquidy if it's not frozen
Another Stranger yeah, it might be too liquidy. I think it would just depend on the type/brand of ice pack.
@A girl not if you actually get the good brands. I had seen ice packs in school which are flexible like you can knead them.
HAHAHA no they're the cheapest brand.
I have a suggestion that will work almost perfectly!!! I have made it myself. Hydrate orbeez to its fullest potential and then blend it in a blender or just crush it up by sqeezing them through a fine cloth. Then add some water to it and the toys!
