As a therapist, I very much appreciate your support for mental health in helping to normalize the difficulties in life. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I turned 36 last October, at the age of 14 in 1 Summer that started in march 1999 I lost 6 friend's 😔 I went into the darkness and I slept for 2 weeks, I didn't shower (I had to be bathed) I didn't eat (I had to be fed like a baby) after being forced to do these things, I was made to get help! The therapist lady was so kind and gentle, she allowed me to go slow! It took a good 5 sessions before I said anything! She saved my life, she pulled me out of my darkness! I vowed to always get help and to never allow myself into the darkness again no matter how bad it hurts 😞 thank you so much for all you do, you are more valuable than you'll ever know!!
I am so grateful for how supportive Johnathan is of Miyam - we all need a man in our lives to support us that way to know what we need and not to be afraid to get that for you
I so appreciate Bev's demonstration of courage in coming onto this show with such love and support and desire to understand different perspectives and keep learning and growing.
WE LOVE MAYIM! So sorry to hear that your laughter is nervousness. Thank you Jonathan for moderating. I think all mother/daughters need a great moderator to remind us to be positive and supportive of each other. Thank you all for being so brave and open. It's very encouraging! Blessings and Happy Mother's Day to you both!
Bev’s thoughtful note taking has really made me more conscious of how I consume my podcasts and edifying videos. I love the mindfulness with which she approaches the podcast, almost like attending a lecture. The fact she even analyzed herself is beautiful. ❤️
Dear Mayim, I remember watching you on Blossom. My sons are about your age. I thought as I watched you as Blossom that you are a star and will continue to be a star. You are the same vivacious girl now as you were then. Were you the one to do cartwheels and splits or was that Six? I remember you were so full of joy. I loved you as Amy and I love all the cast. Your mom is great and so cool in her support of you. You are a national treasure Mayim. Love you and Jonathon together. I am thrilled you have a blog and I’m catching up every day. You and Jim Parsons were so funny together. You’re an amazing girl. Thank you for bringing joy and laughter Into my home. 😇
Mayim and Bev - if some consider your relationship dysfunctional , I would have to say it is healthy dysfunction. You two are doing your personal work in order to be as whole as possible, so that you have more to bring the relationship with one another. I really enjoy the way you two interact and I pray you never lose that. Much love to you guys!
the way this has been edited is absolutely stunning. you feel as if everyone is in the same room. the audio, amazing, cannot express how well crafted this project is.
After binge (re)watching all episodes, in order, of Big Bang Theory during COVID, I found myself missing all of your characters; to my 13 yr olds delight as he has ‘warned’ me that I would miss you. So I started looking to see what each of you were doing now and came across your podcasts. So naturally I stared at the beginning and began listening, then watching them. They have all been so well produced and very informative. But more than that they have given me hope. As someone who has been in and out of therapy for nearly 30 years, I wondered if I would ever be ‘fixed’. You and your guests have made me realize, and reinforced what numerous therapists have said, that this is a journey and, given my very complicated and traumatic past coupled with a history of TBI’s both before and during my career in the military, it is one that I will continue to move through and learn from, likely for the rest of the days I walk this earth. So thank you and Jonathan for that. And thank your mom! She is amazingly open minded, at least in comparison to mine who disowned me 25 years ago for joining the military and then coming out. She gives me hope for the world that people, no matter their age, can learn and grown and love in a much broader way then they were raised to. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait until I have caught up and then can tune in weekly!
We should all be so lucky to have the Mother/Daughter relationship that Bev and Mayim have (or at least seem to have). I have much respect and admiration for them both.
Love. Smiles all day on these episodes with Mama and Mayim. Johnathon holds his own with his insightful and well timed questions. Love everything about this!!
Love this podcast..As a person who struggles with anxiety everyday. Thank you Mayim for giving mental illness a platform, and for allowing your guest to share their voices.
I always listen to one of your podcast before going into work in the morning. I always listen to it while getting dressed, it makes me smile and excited for my day. You are truly a blessing and I absolutely love your mother. She's amazing.. I love this so much. You are amazing in so many ways, Mayim ❤❤❤💗
"Schmoozefest," I love it. Being a motherless adult at a young age has been hard to say the least. I just wanted to say, it's so nice to see what one looks like, the adult child and mother relationship. Kudos to Bev for loving her girl and being open to truly caring for her mental health. What I really love and admire is that Bev has the support and the courage to do the work. In the aging population we don't see this enough. I want more mental health awareness for seniors. I work with them in the South Side of Chicago (or did until the pandemic) as a mental health case manager/Social Worker. What I love about this type of work/service is the knowledge of the population. I mean, talk about history lessons. My client's taught me so much about coping skills and courage. Bev Girl, you rock!
I've watched all of your Breakdowns and I love the ones with your Mom the best, I always laugh out loud because I can so relate! Like mother, Like daughter ❤
I am living for Bev’s perusal of her notes! She really did take down notes! That’s so adorable! I absolutely love her!!! Sorry Mayim, you know I love you but I’m kinda loving your mom more and more each Bevisode! Happy Mother’s Day to you two!!!!
I really enjoy Bev's episodes. I lost my mom when I was a teen, and it's so nice to see a woman who has been so supportive of her daughter over the years. It's lovely to see the little bits of friction that crop up and how they get talked through. Keep on talking Bev and Mayim. You're so lucky to have each other in your life.
You guys are awesome. This makes me miss my mom so much. She was killed by her doctor in 2010 she was my best friend. Never ever take your mom for granted you never know when she will be taken away!!!!
You all deserve 5 stars! I have started watching Blossom in order to learn more about Mayim...I realize Blossom is a character but it was part of her journey. I am so fascinated that someone so funny, intelligent and most of all lovable has so many insecurities. I am so grateful for your honesty. I hope you find comfort within and know that you are fabulous and unique!
I adore the Bevisodes! I didn't get to have many deep conversations with my own mother as an adult since she passed quite young at age 52. These episodes touch my heart and make me feel like I'm getting to know my mom through Mayim's mom.
Super love this episode❤️ I have a fractured relationship with my mom and every Bevisode is such a treat! How I wish all moms are as self-aware as Bev. I would like to be adapted by Mayim and Bev 🤩 PS Jonathan is such a pro in handling awkward moments 👏👏👏
This episode got me thinking about all the things. The conversation about how Mayim experienced certain difficult aspects of her childhood, but did not, in fact, grow up in a post WW tenement block, made me wonder if it is ever possible for us as adults to REALLY empathize with the lived experience of a child (our own or another). We focus on creating better lives for kids but through the filter of our own experiences, rather than the filter of what THEY perceive the world demands of them. It's a fascinating thing to contemplate as I look at the children in my life. What will they have to process about their childhoods when they grow up that I'm oblivious about because I'm not 14? Love the Bevisodes! Happy Mother's Day to you both.
Love Bev’s outfit today, very natty! This is family gold. How I wish that either of my parents - who were born in the 1920s, so an earlier age group than Bev’s - would *ever* have committed to therapy. Even my grandmother did therapy, but not her daughter or son-in-law. Awesome, Bev, Mayim, and Jonathan. 🙌🏼🥰
I LOVE your mom! My mom hates me and I'd give anything to have a mom like yours! She is hilarious but I also love her insight! I love seeing into your world through her eyes! These episodes are a gift! Really all yours are! I adore this podcast!!! ❤
I ADORE all BEVISODES! I cannot choose one!...I’m a bit jealous (in a good way) of Mayim-Beverly relationship! So transparent and so open. Their complicity...Merit of both of them. I never had that opportunity with my mother. An ultra-Catholic, strict, rigid, authoritarian woman who imposed her opinions without any hope of reasoning nor dialogue. On the contrary, I had to break up with her for some years to set boundaries to defend my own growing as a human being and my own mental health. I even dealt with a hard colon cancer without having her near...So, so lucky you both, Mayim and Bev! And Jonathan too. Having someone as Beverly in your lives is a BLESSING! 💜 And YES, Beverly! Mayim tends to be too self deprecating..whe she really is an AWESOME & FABULOUS woman. Am I right, Jonathan! 😉
I was listening to this on Spotify when I got the notification the video was posted. I’ve loved the Bevisodes. I’ve been trying to get my mom to listen, but she isn’t much of a podcast person, but she listened to the first Bevisode and enjoyed it!
I had a difficult relationship with my Mom most of her life, we worked most of it out before she passed. We definitely are different people, and I understand the cringe factor Mayim was speaking about working with her Mom. Learning to embrace someone for who they are, even the parts one doesn't like or are very cringe worthy is not easy. We all have parts we need to work on in our own time our parents and relatives do too, if not in the afterlife.
Oh wow! Your mom reminds me so much of Diane Keaton! She probably gets that a lot. Lol (Lots of love!) No matter what your living conditions i think it's great that you said she always did a lot with what you guys had, and she seems very pragmatic and sensible and intellligent.
As I put once at Mayim’s IG account: This is the only podcast I have get hooked ever in all my life. From the very first episode. And it’s because the unique, intelligent, relatable way both of you, @missmayim and @storiescompany, do these podcasts. The effort, generosity and tons of knowledge you put in them. After every #bialikbreakdown episode I do know I am a bit wiser. And after every Besisode, even better! I was never able to talk this way with my own mom..dead years ago...THANK YOU Mayim, Beverly and Jonathan!!!!!!💜
Just watched the Kid90 documentary she (SMF) produced. As a parent I really cringed about the crazy behavior then, and now impressed in how some of these former teen celebrities have grown. Could be interesting to reflect on why/how Mayim was not part of that crowd back then.
I teared up at the end. I look forward to these and I am loving the bonus Bev episodes. It shows that learning who we are and how to navigate the changing, dynamics in our world is ever-evolving.
This was so fascinating! I love the way that Mayim & Bev express themselves in their different perspectives. One thing I had noticed (some time ago) was Mayim’s communication pattern of getting a little ahead of herself & moving on to the next point without completing the original sentence… I see that this very similar pattern in Bev’s manner of speech - no surprise, of course, but something I had not considered. 💕 I usually feel that I can “fill in the blank” of the unfinished thought, but do find the challenge of listening to both a little challenging.. but in a good way! Since noticing this, I also sometimes catch myself saying things my own mother may have thought about, but not necessarily in the same manner. Such an amazing thing - the mother daughter relationship. Thank you both for sharing this experience with us!
I love when Bev is on. She is clearly very intelligent and has a real grasp of whats what. Bev is gorgeous. I have been a fan of Mayim since the Blossom days. I didnt watch Big Bang till she became part of the cast. Then i went back and watched all episodes. Amy Farrah Fowler was a great addition. Ss a widowed mother of a daughter, i get the uncomfortable relationships between mother and daughter without the buffer of the father. As a woman of strong opinions. My kid doesnt always appreciate my view points. As is her right. Till shes pissed off , im right. Lol
I love this podcast so much and living in the UK 🇬🇧 I’m always up and ready for when you post them i look forward to watching every Tues and Weds now it’s the highlight of my week , so thank you Mayim xx
The part about the unfinished floor... my parents did a bathroom reno that was ten yrs or so in the process... it took even longer to get the floor where the bathroom used to be - redone proper... i feel your pain. Lol
I’m loving Bev’s insightfully thoughts about each episode and am especially looking forward to her discussion on Wil Wheaton. Actually, I would love to watch a much longer discussion with Bev about this particular episode. Wil seems to have gone through tremendous pain with regards to his parents and I was glad to see him take a stand against abuse and I was glad he has a wife who understands his pain and helps him heal. You could literally feel the intensity and his pain as he spoke about his childhood. I bet if he had a Mom like Bev, he would have felt so much love and compassion as a child.
Bevisodes two weeks in a row??? How exciting!! I absolutely love these episodes. Some of my favorites for sure. Bev is so funny and I love watching the interactions between Mayim and Bev while Jonathon facilitates. Love to all. See you next week! Also, love the tank Mayim is wearing in the promotions. Super cute.
I just realized that I could do this. This is about my eighth podcast every single one has multiple things which are directly beneficial to me. I’ll just make this one comment about this one at the end when you talked about Bev not biting her nails. I think I recall that Miam said that Bev peeled her cuticles. That is the most painful thing in the world early on my mom introduced me to nippers. When I feel a loose cuticle I try not to pull it and as soon as I can I get the nippers and take care of it. I can’t thank you enough for the work you’re doing with your podcasts. Also a big thank you to Johnathan.
Was so excited to see another Bevisode came out today. I absolutely love Beverly's insight and I adore Beverly and Mayim mother/daughter relationship. Was an amazing way to spend my day watching this and I love this so much. Thank you so much for this and the effort Mayim, Jonathan and Beverly spent on this. This podcast is just amazing and every episode is such a delight .
Love it 🥰 Well done to all involved as it is definitely not easy to do & put it publicly here on UA-cam 💕 If parents were able to give their children more than they own had when they were children I think they did amazing job. The most valuable though is the action done because of the love and best interest for the child in the situation he/she is. I cannot wait to watch more
I’d like to see an episode with Ed Robertson, your song writer/singer from Barenaked Ladies. He’s brilliant, fascinating and has lived some incredible experiences such as surviving a plane crash and being famous since a young teenager.
I love these. Bev is my hero. Brilliant & funny but self-examining, responsible, respectful & super willing to consider many viewpoints. My cool brave mama died in November. There is nothing fierier & stronger & fiercer than a mom daughter love. I can say 1st hand it survives physical death, but let's all enjoy these difficult, arduous, holy ties while here.
I'm watching you on Jeperdy! I love you Mayim . Your voice in your real-life and actor has helped me to love my broken parts more. The world is better with you in it. Mayim you give mental health sunshine and hugs. Without expectations for perfection. And as a queer woman, you are my crush.
i believe i have become an addictive person. I am completely addicted to these postcasts. Is it serious doctor?🤣 These episodes are my comfort after my day at work. They appease me, make me laugh and often cry (it's a lot of emotions for my little heart☺️) but I love it! Extra hugs from France.
Bev thank you for you and thank you for Miyam. I think that you have put yourself together and I love your analytical approach to looking at all things because how you work through emotions with a centered focus no wonder Miyam is so 🤓
what a lovely relationship you have with your mother i learned there are times that it ok to get therapy am my own mental heath is not the best but i got to make the first step
You're a crazy person uploading this early! 😱🤣 unless you're on the east coast for some reason. Haha I'm just now going to sleep and seeing this has me so tempted to fight sleep and watch it. AHHH! The struggle is real...😅
I don't have a relationship with my druggy NM for safety reason, I don't have contact with her ... I absolutely love watching you and your Mom 🖤 I fully enjoy the podcast!!
Great idea to invert the colors for the BEVISODES header! It’s like having a kind of an alert to easy identify them. A kind of their own folder inside the general folder! 👍🏼👌🏾
Jonathon your beard has reached bodacious stage. I adore all of you. I would love to have Bev as a friend. She is so smart, funny and self aware. And she raised amazing Mayim. Greetings from a Canadian Gramma.
I want to join the Bevolution! I know I heard it first on the Goldberg's, but it applies to Mayim's mom too! I have to stay caught up on watching all the Breakdown videos she is reviewing so I catch all of Bev's insights and nuances.
I always love your episodes especially the ones with Bev! I love your mother and daughter relationship ❤️ I hope to see more of this ❤️ thank you Mayim, Jonathan and momma Bev!
She saved my life, she pulled me out of my darkness! thank you so much for all you do, you are more valuable than you'll ever know!!

I usually feel that I can “fill in the blank” of the unfinished thought, but do find the challenge of listening to both a little challenging.. but in a good way!
Since noticing this, I also sometimes catch myself saying things my own mother may have thought about, but not necessarily in the same manner. Such an amazing thing - the mother daughter relationship. Thank you both for sharing this experience with us!
As always, love - love - love ❤️ you guys are so great!! Life is better with everything you do. Bev, Mayim and Jonathan you are all awesome 🙌🙌🙌
Lol
I love it when Mayim’s mom is on!! I work from home and I look forward to listening to this podcast as I start my day ♥️!
The first thing I do on Thursday when I wake up is check for an extra episode and so happy when there is one. 😌
Lol
I fully admit to listening to the podcast in the morning, and then tuning in here later on in the day....!
I'm loving these podcasts with your Mom Mayim, they're so refreshing and honest. I love watching the mother/daughter dynamic.
Super cute.
I hope to have such an amazing relationship with my daughter when I grow older. Love this episode. ❤️😻
The chemistry between the three if you is a treasure ! Bev adds alot to the discussion .
So great that you both support each other❣️❣️❣️❣️ I hope Bev has a great Mother's Day 💕😊
Aw I love that she wanted to give you your freedom when your friends went to college!
Thank you Tania!!!
Love the Bevisodes. Your mom has no filter. Speaking for me it comes with aging. Happy Mother’s Day to Mayim and Bev.
I cannot wait to watch more
These episodes with your mom are my favourite. ❤️
Thank you for another Bevisode, they're my favourite. You are both so inspiring!
I'm watching you on Jeperdy! I love you Mayim . Your voice in your real-life and actor has helped me to love my broken parts more. The world is better with you in it. Mayim you give mental health sunshine and hugs. Without expectations for perfection. And as a queer woman, you are my crush.
It was wonderful episode, as always. But it was so nice to hear Bev talk about how she sees Mayim. That is one proud mama! And she should be.
Bev is iconic 😂 i love her
I love these! I work with women, with a focus on moms and daughters so this is awesome!
Love the Bev-isodes! So proud of Bev, she really puts herself out there!
I absolutely ADORE your mom! I adore you too! I wish I was BFF's with you mom, she seems like the coolest of the coolest. More Bevisodes!
I appreciate Bev & Mayim for sharing their stories. I can’t wait for the next Bevisode!
i believe i have become an addictive person. I am completely addicted to these postcasts. Is it serious doctor?🤣
These episodes are my comfort after my day at work. They appease me, make me laugh and often cry (it's a lot of emotions for my little heart☺️) but I love it! Extra hugs from France.
These are the episodes I look forward to the most! These podcasts are what I live for! Thanks so much! Keep it up!
LOVE ALL YOUR EPISODES. YOU ARE ALL FANTASTIC. IT IS A GREAT DYNAMIC INCLUDING BEV. WELL DONE. THANK YOU .
Mayim your Mom is so much like mine. I am loving her! I swear this podcast you and Jonathan are doing is a lifesaver for me weekly!
Bev reminds me of my mom. Voice of reason. Allowing Mayim to be a kid. Way to go Bev!
Sorry not sorry I watch the Bevisodes on repeat. I've always loved Mayim and I love Jonathan. Thanks for these. I love the family dynamics.
Bev thank you for you and thank you for Miyam. I think that you have put yourself together and I love your analytical approach to looking at all things because how you work through emotions with a centered focus no wonder Miyam is so 🤓
I feel at home watching your Bevisodes. You 3 are so special
what a lovely relationship you have with your mother i learned there are times that it ok to get therapy am my own mental heath is not the best but i got to make the first step
I love loveeeee her comments, reflections. This podcast is giving me so much hope
You're a crazy person uploading this early! 😱🤣 unless you're on the east coast for some reason. Haha I'm just now going to sleep and seeing this has me so tempted to fight sleep and watch it. AHHH! The struggle is real...😅
I love it! I can actually get in an episode before work. lol
I got the UA-cam 🔔 in the middle of a Directors meeting with our CEO...🤭🤫
We do it for the East Coasters! But then the West Coasters have something to look forward to when they wake up :)
@@MayimBialik I like in England and watch it while I’m studying after school. Love it ❤️❤️
These are so good! Would love to hear more about the documentaries Bev and Barry did! I think that’s a fascinating topic.
I was thinking the same!👏
I don't have a relationship with my druggy NM for safety reason, I don't have contact with her ... I absolutely love watching you and your Mom 🖤 I fully enjoy the podcast!!
💞
Happy Mother's Day, to you and Bev!!! Watching this today with my mom 😊
These are my favorite episodes! I love all of this!!
These episodes are great - your mom has such a fun personality, and I love watching you two interact! Keep ‘em coming!
