My review of the Schott 641 Cafe Racer jacket. Mine happens to be in white leather, but much of the review applies to the standard Schott 641 and its brother the Schott 141.
Speaking of white leather jackets…don’t knock it til you try it! I’ve been really pleased with how it works.
Schott also makes this jacket in horsehide (model 641HH) and naked cowhide (model 141). The 641 line runs true to size. I'm 5'9" and 175 lbs, I take a 40 in most things. This 641 is a 40. I would get a 38 in the 141 to get the same fit, as it runs larger by a size.

Hey Duds byDel, That beautiful white Schott's leather jacket has a very cool and shiny look. It definitely looks good on you. I love that creaky leathery sound! - My very heavy Vanson Highwayman black leather T2-Perfecto jacket has also this kind of sound. Always a great pleasure to watch your leather fashion presentations!

Awesome jacket man. I never really thought about getting a white leather jacket until now. I hope you will think about doing a video like 5 ways to dress a white leather jacket. Would really enjoy some more inspo.

Not really intentional outside of the little segment where I made it happen more and commented about the creaking. It’s a pretty great directional mic 😆

Jacket looks great on you! So glad you agree that the jacket will only get more awesome as it gets more patina & wears in. Will be really awesome if you did a year update on it next December/January to do comparison!

@DudsByDel very great idea - document how all your leather jackets look now, and then update next December/January.... There's a severe lack of patina documentation videos on UA-cam so def would be filling a gap on the internet!

Hi Duds, I agree with you that Langlitz builds great jackets. But in this case I prefer your white Schott by far, because the diagonal zipper and buttons with all the other 80ies style „ornaments“ of the Langlitz look kind of outdated to me.
Yes, the classic styles can have an outdated feel. But it’s one I personally like and feel carries through to modern times

Here's a suggestion, I am not sure anyone done it before, Get your self a vegetable tanned leather unfinished with the raw natural color from aero leathers or something and Vlog with it , maybe three days a week or once a week and let us see how it patina over time, That's a personal interest of mine, Or perhaps you can vlog all your jackets and tell us the story with them, I'd like to watch that . Yeah man sounds fun. I’ve considered it. Maybe something to do next year! I wore my Schott 618 every day for a month, could do a similar thing

Thanks! Looking at their site, appears that their jackets are made in Pakistan for low price. The quality for made in Pakistan jackets seems to vary from very bad to just ok from what I’ve seen
@@DudsByDel where did u find the website? Yeah they are cheap, i saw some of then for 100/150 in a local thrift second hand, they looked ok

That is one creaky jacket! But I love it I love the Japanese styled jackets they have a unique look about them and they definitely look good on you with that ensemble. Whites peppered with browns it’s a good combo.

It is! So far I just wiped with a damp cloth and it didn’t change. Will probably use water & vinegar next
A very good point. However, if you think of vintage white worn-in leather motorbike suits then you understand how awesome a nice patina might look on this jacket as well. This is a very cool jacket.

I don’t really want to clean it to return to some sparkling new condition, but to remove any built-up conditioner or other goop on the surface. If you haven’t seen it Ken Igari of Langlitz Tokyo has an excellent Deaths Head Cascade in white which I’ve considered many times
