Oh wow, thanks so much Dr Annette! That was super interesting and insightful.
I'm already supplementing magnesium, zinc and B6, but inspired by your video now I'll keep a closer look on my diet in general and see if I can find a pattern of what increases my picking and what helps to calm down.

This is really interesting topic. I myself stopped drinking coffee recently because it made me kind of anxious every time and as a result I think my skin picking was reduced. I am kinda more in touch with my thoughts and now I understand why it can be and it's not only in my head! I also checked my blood and it turned out I was feeling bad because od low iron and B12 vit. I've been sumplementing those for 2 months now and it made a difference as well. I started to believe I can make it one day and stop picking. But after years of struggling I know that being and feeling physically healthy might be a huge factor to get better

Thank you for the insight into Glu and epilepsy. I've suspected Chinese food ( loaded with MSG) as a trigger for seizures in the past...this kind of confirms that.

Now I'm wondering if there is a connection between my epilepsy and skin picking...hmmmm.

Michael, I knew a woman who cured her epilepsy with pranayama - yogic breathing techniques. She did a lot of it - an hour or more each day, but her seizures went away completely for good.
