In response to South Georgia's dark history of excessive whaling and hunting, the island is now a protected area. What are your thoughts on the island's ability to bounce back?
Never underestimate Mother Nature. When our unsustainable way of life leads to the extinction of humans, the whole planet will be resurrection island. Awesome series!
Life finds a way. There's so much more we can do to protect this planet and wild life... It pains me to see sometimes people don't realise how important this is
@@MikesBadAcid life cannot simply re-appear once we have destroyed it, that is an evolutionist fantasy. Furthermore it is a harmful fantasy because evolutionists regard extinction as "natural" and if we extinguish everything "it can just re-evolve and come back again later".
This is absolutely stunning footage, but I can't shake the images from the reels of footage shown around the 5min mark. Such atrocities we bring to this world...
I think this is beautiful and so well made. People need to see more of these kind of series, they're amazing, touching and really educational. Also he's energy and excitement makes it more entertainment.
Is it just me or this series ended up with a kind of weird order... this kinda feels like it should've been the first episode. xD But still, amazing work guys.
I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they decuded that this wasn't interesting enough episode to start with to get people watching so they made the order different? That's what often happens to tv series.
The only thoughts in my mind ''I just finished the best series I have ever seen in youtube''.Have no words, how can I thank Natgeo, how can I show my immense respect to Bertie.
When I read your post I decided, weak person that I am, I can't watch this. As an ocean sailor and general explorer I decided to give it a go. They clipped the film just at the moment you could tell what was getting ready to happen. I wonder if it was your comment. If so, thanks.
Mr. Gregory Thank you for bringing to the masses of what we are humanity have done to our planet and to our wild life. Thank you for changing the world...
I cannot begin to describe how amazing this series is ... from the breath catching cinematography to the fun yet professional presentation by bertie , he really brings the show to life .. an all in all great topic keep it up NAT GEO
NatGeo is the best, it is suitable to educate us, especially, the young ones. How I wish, I can work at NatGeo as a professional photographer who travels around the world and my favorite place, Africa.
Our world is so beautiful. I truly believe that even if there are other lifeforms and beautiful planets somewhere else in the Universe that they cant beat the beauty of Earth and it's beautiful inhabitants. We are so lucky to have the most beautiful planet right here.
Finally, welcome home, whales. Hope they continue to thrive and grow back in numbers, along with all the other native wildlife. Thanks for sharing National Geographic.
i wish we could learn from past mistakes of temporary economic gains are not worth. Without the ecological community. we are nothing. but sadly, big companies are too hooked on gaining money and being rich. Such beauty shouldn't be taken for granted.

We haven't completely destroyed our biodiversity and pushed our climate off a cliff, so there's time to turn around!
This rat-eradication technology needs to be shared internationally and deployed to many islands around the world.
