It's definitely not a cover, at all. I love Dreams of an Absolution and it might have indirectly affected the creation of this song, but I didn't even remember that song existed until most of this song was complete. Someone has already pointed out the similarities though.

Were you inspired at all by "Dreams of Absolution"? I feel some parts like 0:14-0:46 and 1:20-1:32 were quite similar in structure.
I think subconsciously, yes. I made those parts then later realized the similarities. But I'm okay with it, I love that song.
