This video isn't stupid. It's brilliant. A perfect display of how one little thing, one little risk, one little mistake or alter can change the world in the long run. Nikola Tesla was a genius. It shows this in the video that though he was a genius his ideas were shut down. Ideas that would've been a benefit for us. We are slowly becoming the demons of our past. So rewatching this video after reading the book is an absolute trip. For those who haven’t read The Prox Transmissions, do it! It’s so fun, and I have to let out a squeal of excitement every single time a line references not only the whole album, but certain music videos from this album. Starset and Dustin Bates are absolute geniuses.

There are two kinds of bands in the world. There’s the type that just make songs, albums, and videos just for the heck of it. A large majority of bands and music projects fall into this category.
Then there’s the type that make music and videos that make you think. The kind of music that makes you think about what we are, what we’re becoming, what we could become, and what we can do to change the future for the better. Starset falls into this category. Their music paints a picture of humanity's imperfections, and how much damage they can do to the human condition if left unchecked. Each Starset album tells a story set in a future where technology runs amok because of human imperfections, one way or another, while giving a glimmer of hope toward preventing these futures from coming to pass.
Guess which category I like better.

Most of those bands/musicians who do music that are just meant to be "hits" are just making products, bland and dull "music" that is not ntended to be listened, but to be selled.
The ones that make music with purpose and meaning, that make you think and see things in a whole new perspective and even teach you valuable lessons are just not making music, they are making art.
And in addition to that they make bangers.
I've met these guys and they're so nice and down to earth, and truly incredible live! and even better, they're from Columbus (Ohio), all four of them! I've not heard a single DN song I haven't absolutely loved by them, and they need and deserve more noteriety than they already have

I'm seeing some disagreement in the comments on the connection between the song and the video, so I'ma take a stab at it.
Our three characters are Tesla, the observatory guy, and the astronaut guy. In Tesla's scenes, he fears that his days of funding are over and he won't be able to talk to the astronaut as he develops his experiments (I know Tesla did _far_ more than just the scenes in this video but I want to keep it in context of the video). In the observatory scenes, the guy fears he'll never live up to a legacy of discovery like Tesla because he can't get the signal clearly and he won't be able to talk to the astronaut. In the astronaut scenes, he fears that he'll be stranded as the world goes dark and won't be able to talk to anyone ever again - Tesla, the observatory guy, or anyone.
I think "Save me if I become my demons" is a way of saving "save me if I become what I am afraid of - alone, lost, fearful, etc." Thus is the idea that we all need each other to get through life, to overcome our fears and guard each other from what can wreck us if left in our own heads.
That's my two cents. All the same, an awesome video and awesome song, excuse me while I listen to everything ever that Starset has made because I am ready to be a fan now.
