  • If you've been following along with us, today is the final day of our 30 Day Guitar Challenge. I hope that if you’ve put the time in with us these past 30 days you’ve unlocked some new aspects of your playing. I know that we’ve had a blast here at Stringjoy following along with the lessons alongside you all, and we’ve enjoyed reading all of your comments along the way.
I want to encourage you all that just because the challenge is over, that doesn’t mean that your journey has to end. The real lesson of this challenge is what you can do when you put a small amount of time into something every day. As you’ve probably seen, being consistent with your practice can lead to mind-blowing results in just a short time. So I hope you’ll keep it up going forward!
Anywho, for our final lesson, we wanted to talk about the most important thing-whether with improvisation, the guitar in general, or life itself-having fun with it. For the final time, let’s do this!
A huuuuge thanks to Eddie Haddad from Guitar Mastery Method for working with us on this project. If you want to go deeper after you make it through our 30 Day Guitar Challenge, you can check them out here: guitarmasterymethod.com/

I'm 80 years old and have been playing since I was 18. This was a great series. Eddie is a great teacher, very engaging and very thorough in a way that seems different than all the others I see on youtube. Thank you, StringJoy for sponsoring this series.

I've been playing every day during this series and I think that's the first time I've ever played 30 days in a row. Each episode had something to learn and/or practice. Thank you Eddie and Stringjoy.

After playing guitar for nearly six decades, I had my reservations about going back to square one but, after lesson five, Eddie had me. Getting the least-picked little finger into the action. I thoroughly enjoyed these thirty days and I will definitely go back and revisit them often, Thank you, Stringjoy and thank you Eddie!

Thank you Eddie, Stringjoy, and all involved for this wonderful series. I clicked on a whim I would normally never do. I've learned, adapted, re-thought, and picked up new angles of things that I was struggling with. You have guitar and communication mad skills. It went by so fast. I can't wait to do all 30 again and pick up even more. I'll have to pick up a set of strings as a thank you. Good surprises may be the 31st lesson.

This has been a great series...some of the earlier stuff was basic but always good to refresh things. I really loved the modes videos and the soloing/improvisation stuff is great. And you are right - why are you playing guitar if not to HAVE FUN? That is what it is all about! Thanks to Stringjoy and to Eddie for being a great teacher.

I am a professional , for over 50 yrs. So what did i think of these 30 days ??? Well did i learn anything new . No. Did I find these lessons helpful....absolutely. Now that does seem strange , but it really isn't . Eddie is a great teacher. Almost all of his explanations were irrelevant for me, but to a beginner , or intermediate player , he gave some bigtime advise , that should last a lifetime . What it did do for me was remind me to go back to using all my "tricks" bending , vibrato , legatos, and especially improv , which are the staples , and basics of my playing. but Eddie's lessons reminded me of little exercises , and warmups to do to keep things fresh , and keeps me thinking. So even with a musician such as myself these lessons were still helpful , and a real joy to reexplore things i basically take for granted. So yes these lessons , and Eddie were awesome .......and btw, you sold me on your strings , been using Elixirs for like 20yrs ( they were on the 1st Taylor i bought ) loved them and used them on all my guitars .....no more ....stringjoy has really proven to me they are superior , and the new gauging for 9.5 electric lights are truly special ....So yes you now have another regular customer.

I'm pretty strictly an acoustic guitarist, but I picked up a lot from these videos. Great job Eddie! And I loved the licks and runs you played.

Thank you Stringjoy and Eddie! Currently taking lessons and still found this quite a useful adjunct to them - even my guitar teacher thought the exercise playing all the modes in E with a drone note was a cool way to do it and told me to keep doing it! Love the strings also - they sound noticeably better!

I didn't always get to have a guitar in my hands while watching this series, but I still feel I was able to learn a good amount. Now time for review and practical application
