This is how to fix the no start issue with the Cadillac STS. What is happening is when you go to start the car, the dash will just black out and do nothing. After about 10 seconds it will cut back on. If you try to start it again, it will cut off again. This will allow you to bypass the system to allow you to start it. When you do this, you have to turn press down in the acc/start button for 5 seconds to put the car in run mode (the dash lights and radio will come on), then press the bypass button and it will start. After doing this you can drive as normal. For some reason sometimes after sitting for awhile, your car will do it again and you will have to use the bypass button to start. So technically this is a push to start back up switch. If you have any questions leave a message.

Jumping the starter is good if you are in a bind or need the car in an emergency or to get around until you can fix the actual problem. This should be a temporary fix , because not addressing the actual problem might cause a more serious problem later on that might lead to a more serious electrical issues .But with that said this is great temporary fix !
