I have 2-10" doors. I put a Genie Max Force screw drive 2 HP and still didn't work. Maybe because I have the silver bubble insulation causing friction on the channels. Sounds like the gear is slipping with the load. Disconnect it, and it works with no load.

I had the same problem. It was a bad starter relay. After I changed it everything worked fine.

Hi with that problem did your theft lock light pop up or on. If I install the switch will that take care of the theft lock issue? Please help if you can. I have th same car 05 sts.

Just spent 3 days and about 450$ trying to do this. Bought metal and a welding machine to make a custom brackets etc. Instead of it working the bottom of the doors twist at various positions. While it seems cool after doing ot on mine I would not recommend trying this. You could easily wind up putting it all in just to be taking it all out. I get 7 days off ever 3 month and this not only wasted my money but 3 out of 7 days off. Roll up doors are not made for this.

My 2007 STS won't start...it is doing the same thing, only when switch to accessories mode the information center tells me the car isn't in park 🤷🏿‍♂️ but it's in park🤦🏿‍♂️...I replaced the battery and alternator is only 2 years old...Any idea🤔

Jumping the starter is good if you are in a bind or need the car in an emergency or to get around until you can fix the actual problem. This should be a temporary fix , because not addressing the actual problem might cause a more serious problem later on that might lead to a more serious electrical issues .But with that said this is great temporary fix !

I’m having the same problem I tried jumpstarting and nothing work. Dash would go black soon as I hit the button and then few minutes later dash is back on
