Great vid! Look up : pepper mint for analgesic use, red clover for cold n flu symptoms, slippery elm for pain n fever relief , Some others common to our latitude locations! ATB from soggy Florida! In central Florida we got a few puffs of wind n a bucket or 2 of rain.. The pan handle got hammered due to the hurricane.. All will heal from this event n life goes on.. Again thanks for this subject review...
Thanks Bill for sharing your knowledge about nature medicine 👍🏻😁 And I’m glad you got through the hurricane without any problems 😉🌤 Have a nice weekend my friend 🌲🔥
There is so much to learn and know about the plants, it is just so fascinating. There is a lot I don’t know 🙂 but then again, it keeps us curious and anxious to learn ( of course it goes for many subjects. One is interested in this, the other in that, let’s stay “wondering” and “wandering” 😃😃
Great outdoors, good coffee with a little addition and good tobacco packed in the pipe that's just perfect. Buscraft & pipe smoking are binded together for me 😉👍👊✌️💨☕️
some very good info, thank you, my plant knowledge is weak and i keep meaning to make more of an effort to learn which plants i have around me i can use. :-)
Nature is pure awesomeness and the most powerful healing tool of all. I use all of those when I feel the need. Chaga and coffee compliment each other very well. As well as a little shot of whisky as well of course. But don't true bushcrafters light their pipes with a ferro rod? Sorry had to throw a dumb joke in there... Nice peaceful relaxing videos. I envy your moist weather. Here in Southern California it is dry dry dry...
Ha ha 👍🏻😁 nice humour 👌🏻 And yes … we do have it very wet here in Denmark this winter. Not much snow ❄️ which I love. I could use some dry days once in a while 👍🏻😉 Thanks for your comment
Thanks for that, very informative, and also just incredibly relaxing to watch, the stove, the kettle, the pipe... and beautiful scenery, I love that mix of conífers and heathland. Atb, rich.
Another great video, thank you sir. A friend told me about an infusion that he uses of fresh chaga in whiskey. He said that it maximizes the cancer fighting properties of the chaga. I have not researched this
Thanks for sharing information on medicinal plants! I have used chaga tea before to help heal after an injury, I believe it helped! I look forward to your next video in this series!
Danmark is a wonderful country and you show that in a very good way. I spend all my Holidays there with kajak and MTB. Greetings from the Northseecoast in Germany.
Thanks Polder for your kind comment about Denmark and my videos 👍🏻😎 I’m very happy to hear that you’re a frequent visitor in our wonderful land 👌🏻 And yes 😊 there are lots of great areas here to visit 😊👋🏻
My father showed me the Land when i was young and i'm still in Love with it. Hiking in Sikeborg, between Whales on Als sund and relaxing in Hals while watching some big Ships...wonderful Land!
Thanks Peter 👍🏻🤗 I’m happy you found my channel 😁 I hope you’ll share that experience with others 👌🏻 Welcome onboard and I hope you’ll stay onboard for a long time. 😊🌲🔥☕️
The series is coming along nicely, enjoyed this one as I've tried mostly all of them apart from Chaga still trying to find a source, I have a few Birch Trees but no chaga as yet. Thanks Tom. ATB, Trev
Hi Trev. Thanks for your support 👍🏻😁 I have the same problem regarding chaga. Here in Denmark it’s very hard to find some 😏 Haven’t found enough to harvest. Have a nice weekend
Thanks for the advice I didnt know that, I havent seen snow for a few years here in the UK I live in the southern part so probably wont see much of it. My quest continues, thanks Jeff. Atb, Trev
You should check out Survival Russia. Lars is also a Dane and I first heard about chaga from his videos. I find your videos very calming and enjoyable.
Hi Dennis … thanks for your interest in my channel and your info. I know that channel a it’s easy to hear that Lars also is a Dane 👍🏻😁 I’ve watched some of his videos But I’m not subscribing to the channel for various reasons.
Great information. Can you believe we don't have any stinging nettles around us? It has been farmland here for so long all the old growth plants are gone.....so I am naturalizing some on my land!
Hi Bjørn. It’s an area that is located about 10 km north of Aalborg in the northern Jutland. It’s called Hammer hills and have both forest an heath. Nice place to hike 👍🏻 Atb Tom
There's loads, ransoms/wild garlic is good for the immune system, dandelion and dandelion root is good for lots of things, chicory is good for digestion, Rose hips can be made into cough syrup and is full of vitamin c, can't remember what hawthorn berries are good for.
Cimbrer Bushcraft I've watched all your video's Tom and I anxiously await for a new one. So when I get the alert you have a new video, I go directly to it my friend. All is well here in Alabama and my family is doing well also, thanks for asking my friend. Hope all is well with you and your family and enjoy the rest of your weekend my friend!
I may have some more very usefull information about plants: it is a good idea to know how to determine the different needle trees, because the Larix (or: Lork) is one you better not make tea from , it is toxic. The stinging nettle is a wonderfully versatile plant, besides what Tom already mentioned, it is very tasty preparing and eating it the same way you make spinach. This plant is also very usefull for gardners: you can easily make a fertilizer from it just by keeping it in a closed barrel or bucket and let it ferment. It stinks like H......but it works like a charm for a large variety of plants ( not all appreciate it though because of the high nitrogen content). Diluted in water it can be sprayed on plants suffering from lice or several fungi. If you want to learn more, Google is the place to be. Dandelion is also edible, I think even all parts of the plant are. You can roast the roots of dandelion and use it as alternative for coffee. Interesting plant.....
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us 👍🏻😁 I can tell you know a lot about plants and what they can do I’m very glad to have you as a subscriber 🤗👍🏻 ( hope you are ) atb to you
Hi Daniel. Thanks for your question 👍🏻😘 It’s a comprehensive question and not easy to make a short answer to. But Bushcraft IS adventurous and a great hobby. For me … the difference between just going into the woods … and practice Bushcraft, is that I always have a goal when I’m bushcrafting 😁. On one trip I can search for amadou fungus and the next practice making fire 🔥 with flint & steel. The opportunities is endless. My recommendation to you … is to look at as many UA-cam Bushcraft videos you can, and pick the things you find interesting and try them out for your self. I have some videos that explains some of the questions you made have. So check them out 🤗 and other Bushcraft videos. Hope you’ll get started … and remember ☝🏻 there is no wrong ways to practice this awesome hobby. Welcome to a hole new community 👌🏻😊
Hi Cimbrer Bushcraft, thanks for the fast reply and advice. I do like what you said about having a goal when you go into the woods. I think I will try that and start practicing making fire and what not.
Sounds like a great plan 👍🏻 Hope you’ll find what your seeking 😉 And promise me that you keep in touch and let me know how your Bushcraft adventure is going 🤗🔥🌲
