Some interesting thoughts and tips you are so right that it only matters that you like what you have taken! I've had some petty comments when I posted some ICM photos
Thanks very much for watching and your nice comment. The challenge we have is when we publish our work we are opening ourselves up to criticism, and while we welcome positive feedback we can always expect the opposite, it’s a shame but it’s part of the territory. Cheers 👍
Hi thx for the video and advice but for someone who are just starting with icm and that’s on a tight budget which filter would you recommend as first filter. Is it polarizing or ND and would it be for example Nisi VN 1-5 and 5-9 or just a fixed 3, 6, 10 stop. Thx
Thanks for watching and your question. I would recommend getting a circular polarizing filter, which I know is not really ideal for ICM, but would be a good first filter for all sorts of photography. As far as ND goes I only have one, which is an ND8 but it would be useful to have VN 5-9, and if money no object get the lot, though of course it all depends on the conditions. 👍
@@MyPhotoJourney thx for your reply, money is not lying around here but I might just get both although I'm not to bothered about reducing reflections as I actually like photographing reflections so maybe then I'd be better of with the 1-9 VND from Nisi as I can always up the color in edit in so many ways. Yeah I think that's what I'll do and maybe get a filter for night photography instead
Thanks for teaching me ICM.
