I would love to know if Doom Eternal works on Crossover 24. I have tried it in the past sadly without it working. Hope to hear from you Andrew & thanks for such an awesome channel!!
Hi, a question: I now have the problem that it complains because there is no more storage available. Now I have looked in the disk utility. Of the 1 TB, a good 500GB are free, but also another 90GB that are shown to me for Steam under Crossover. This has only been the case since today, can it be changed? Or is it the same for you? On Steam, directly under MacOS, it normally uses the Mac hard drive and also has the 500GB free...
Any progress in Crossover 24 in running older games? These games can't be that difficult to set up for can they? I'm thinking here of games like Elder Scrolls:Oblivion, the Dragons' Age games and maybe even Neverwinter Nights 2?
Is it relevant to install steam games by using "crossover install" search menu? Or can we just first install a bottle with steam and then install games within that steam app?
You mentioned Warframe was using the native installer. Can you show how you do that in Steam? I can never get games to work in Steam through Crossover with native installers. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
So I have a question. I did all this, downloaded some games and started playing. Only problem is, my mouse doesn't seem to work for one of them. The pointer doesn't show up, nor can I really move it. How do I fix this?
0:08 he finally does it! shows off Warframe! my favorite game and only game I play. The only thing about Warframe is that just playing the entry tutorial that he shows off in the video I don't think is all that demanding. Wait until your multiple months into playing warframe every single day or even a year when you really have true power creep and you can take on anything in the game. That's when you will find the true performance of warframe cause it has Hordes of Ammo drops, energy, health orbs, mods, endo tons of particles going on breathe taking open worlds as well so I am happy to see that the tutorial plays well at 100 fps plus but whats going to happen when your in a squad of 4 other players and a bunch of death going on. or even railjack? there's so much to do in warframe that I don't think looking at the tutorial and seeing 100+ fps is enough. there's a lot of different environments tons of particles loads of content going on at once in a warframe so there's more to be said for the topic of warframe on Mac I think. If Warframe just runs 100 FPS plus everywhere on Mac without any slowdowns or any issues to the point where you're not going to incur frame drops from long endurance runs I would be absolutely impressed.

Rhanks for this amazing video! Got Crossover installed pretty quickly. Now, can you please tell me why Mass Effect 2 won't run (on Steam)? Is it because of EA and not Crossover?
Thanks! Great video! I am new to CrossOver and have 24.0.1. I’d like to ask for your recommendation. It is about bottle management within CrossOver. After I install a Steam bottle, do I just buy and install further games while running Steam from the bottle? (That’s what I want to do.) Or is it better to search for compatible games within Crossover and install each game as its own bottle? (That seems too messy. But you follow me, right? It makes sense to keep each game and its crosstie in its own bottle. Or maybe I am thinking (incorrectly) about bottles like files in Finder? (I wish you had a video on data management with CrossOver!)
I'm going to be doing a deep video about this topic in the future. Basically inside the Steam bottle, make the Steam library storage outside of the bottle (anywhere on the Mac). Then you duplicate the Steam bottle (which saves the login and storage location) for each game. Then you can install the CrossTie into each bottle. Then CrossTies and dependencies that install when you launch Steam games won't interfere with each other.
@@Andytizer Question though. I just opened CrossOver>Steam >Open C:>Get Info. A Steam bottle is 2.5GB. So if I use the method of duplicating Steam bottles, and put 20 games in there, it is going to take up an extra 50GB of drive space. I guess that is just the cost of doing business, eh?
@@MatthewPiepszak Majority of games can share a Steam bottle, only funny ones that require overrides, fixes etc need their own eg Skyrim, Fallout 4 etc.

For who is wondering how it performs on a cheap M1 8GB of RAM, I did, almost two years ago and the results where satisfatory running games like GTA5. Go ahead guys, it isn't perfect but does the job.
Hi Andrew, thanks for the video makes the process seem very easy, can I ask have you tried the new helldivers game. ? This would be interesting as how raved about it is and I would love to see if it works on Mac through steam ?? Thanks
It's that normal while i am just opening steam from crossover and downloading games, my m3 pro mac book can feel the heat already.
when playing games, how many degrees you reach in real-time?
How’s the heat issue now ? How much have you gamed so far
In cs2 70-80 °c on M2 Max with tg pro
I would love to know if Doom Eternal works on Crossover 24. I have tried it in the past sadly without it working. Hope to hear from you Andrew & thanks for such an awesome channel!!
Deal Code Error:
That deal code is now expired and can no longer be used! :((((
Hi, a question: I now have the problem that it complains because there is no more storage available.
Hah! I was going to look up drg survivor... Going to try this tonight on an M1 Max!
And ? How was it going ?
Is it relevant to install steam games by using "crossover install" search menu? Or can we just first install a bottle with steam and then install games within that steam app?
I thought I saw a free version of wine on for mac another channel what's the diff?
Thank you Andrew for your work and also for the promo code! Awesome news and overview.
hey have u tested eafc 24 the football game? also did u try modding the games via steam workshop or 3rd party mods like nexus mods?
I am trying to figure out how to download it on my MacBook. If you figure it out on any way let me know.
How about some tutorials on how to get other launchers working, like Amazon Games Launcher and stuff.
You mentioned Warframe was using the native installer. Can you show how you do that in Steam? I can never get games to work in Steam through Crossover with native installers. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
i think you need to test it on m1 base model
I'd like to see how it handles Elden Ring and Armored Core 6.
Could you please test MS Flight Simulator 2020? thanks!
Thanks for the video! Question, is there a way to play games that require AVX? Been trying to figure out a work around on this. Thanks!
Can you test old 32 bits Mac games compatibly ?
What about easyanticheat games? We still don't have any compatibility
Hi Andrew,Is TEKKEN 8 fixed with Crossover 24 please
Could CrossOver 24 able to launch the games (such as elden ring, apex) in online mode? Because I am using Whiskey but it's only able to launch in offine. My mac is m1 chip and macos15.2 beta. Hope you could give me some hints.
well I’m subbing now. This video was amazing. I’m a complete dunce when it comes to computers and I have a Macbook Pro M3. Any way you could make a video on how to install mods for Elden Ring? Bc everywhere i’ve checked is too complicated for me to understand🙃
What Mac are u using? :D
Any fps improvements for Cyberpunk on M1 Max?
That would be great! Looking forward to seeing the impact on Cyberpunk, too (+ I also have an M1 Max).
@@jipiboily Noticed no performance increase lol
please try to include the Wither 3 because its a popular game and with every update it runs better on mac
I have an issue with my controller not working in D3DMetal mode in crossover, required to play Rocket League with GPTK (to see nameplates)... How do you do ?
Can you imagine the buzz if they manage to get Helldivers 2 running on Apple Silicon?
What about games that required EasyAntiCheat ?
Its like 3-4 people asked this question. I want to know as well but seems like no one cares to reply to this type of question. What a shame!
Rhanks for this amazing video! Got Crossover installed pretty quickly.
Now, can you please tell me why Mass Effect 2 won't run (on Steam)? Is it because of EA and not Crossover?
Is there much difference between 36 and 48 GB for gaming?
@@Andytizer Thanks for the quick reply and advice. I'll look forward to watching your video!
@@Andytizer Wow! I am astounded by how attentive you are to comments! I guess I can keep believing in humanity! 😆Thanks again for your quick and helpful response. The fact that most games can be stored in the same bottle is good to know. That might be good to share in that upcoming video you mentioned!
I's love to see you get alan wake 2 working in crossover
Do you think that they would ever make it possible to use Autodesk Inventor on mac ?
Hi. Thanks for sharing this. I’m thinking about purchasing CrossOver 24 soon. I’ll be sure to use one of your affiliate links if I do. One question, is it possible to play Windows native games using CrossOver 24 on an M1 Max MacBook at 32:9 aspect ratio on a DQHD monitor? That would be awesome.
What is your recommendation settings for CS2 rossover? I'm currently use Macbook air m2 which is 8 GB ram and 256 GB SSD
Friendly warning - do not try if you have Air, less then 16GB of RAM or less of 8+8 cores. You will probably just waste time. With Macbook Pro with M1 (8+8 cores) with 16GB you can make it playable (just slightly above 60 FPS) on medium settings with a few things on low, but on your hardware you probably will not get more than 30-50 FPS. If you try, please let me know what you got.
I get about 60-90 fps, but there were occasional freezes, I hope it's fixed with the new version.@@viking1304
Thanks Andrew! Does the newly released Nightingale work on Crossover?
Hi. Do you know who it works with AOE II DE? Is it multiplayer available using this tool ? Any minimal requirements MAC suggested ?
Thanks for your video. ❤
Have you gotten AOE to work on mac? My fav game❤
With the new update do I need the game porting tool kit ?
Hi, thanks for the video! Can you tell me how things are with the game on the local network? And is it possible to test how Command & Conquer 3 works now?
PLS Show us to run Battlefield 2042 on Crossover. Its a Direct X 12 game... so whats the deal?
Is it possible to remove the top right corner overlay while using D3D to metal conversion?
Cross over 24 is incredible !
More getting better !!
Enshrouded and Helldivers 2 please
When do you think Helldivers 2 will work?
Still no luck getting Hi-Fi rush working past the start screen 😞
How can you connect USB devices to Crossover if not recognized?
Does Tekken 8 run properly on Steam, now? Thanks for all that you do!
Trying to figure out how to get the FPS details to show up in upper right corner? I've only been able to get FPS to show in Diablo IV (Ctrl-R) in-game which appears as 30-60 fps (Mac Studio M1 Max 64GB) on High settings, changing to Medium doesn't seem to do much
I have a Mac M3 max 14 CPU and 30 GPU, I installed Crossover, downloaded Steam, installed FC 25 and unfortunately it doesn't work. I set all the parameters as in the video and the game does not start at all, does anyone know what the reason could be?
Nice video. COuld yo demo UT2004 and UT3 Black Edition? Thanks
Is there a preferred way to use it, like : always try to see if it works with metal first and if not, then try out dxvk. That is how I do it anyhow. Or does dxvk usually run better?
Hello. Runs Epic Games Launcher with the crossover application on Mac?
Have you tried Helldivers 2 and Cities Skylines 2? CS2 had major issues on PC side when launched, but have made some progress since launch. Would like to play it on my Mac instead of PS5 (who knows when that’ll happen)
I do not want to spend additional money on getting a gaming PC, if my Mac Mini M2 can be just as good as low budget PC.
