You sound like me. This compact stuff I'd like to see coming out for mobile setups but a company like Stryker needs to build something for base use and not just a converted mobile unit. I did email them last spring about this issue and they promptly responded that they were working on a base radio but were pushed way back from the carona virus shutdown. I pray they don't let us down.
If they do it will have hella warranty stickers, cuz the new rci base is getting bum wrap for everyone cracking it open, peaking it out, and then the supply getts overdraw shutdown triggered, and waaaaaa across the internet about it, otherwise flawless modern attempt. Buy one, leave it alone, and give some good reviews, and they will be encouraged to make more. 😊
@@wxfreak The rise of long distant skip at the end of the 1970's actually helped kill off the massive popularity of CB radio as a cool, hipster fad. I remember many angry CB owners and fellow schoolkids suddenly hating on CB radio when the skip was strong with brash language and wacky redneck lingo which turned many off the Citizens Band by decades end.
@@ad5ez1exactly. I have a ham tech license and was running GMRS but I’m finding my way back to CB here lately. GMRS in my opinion just isn’t worth the hassle unless you just need short range coms between off road vehicles or maybe a neighborhood watch setup with a small RPT. Ham, I’m just sooooooo tired of the boot licking and not being able to have a REAL conversation with someone. It’s always same old how I sound and how you sound what’s the weather and done stuff. CB skip and USB LSB I can talk all over the country and even parts of Europe and have an actual conversation without having to worry about some hot ham head getting upset and crying to the FCC.
I really want some of these radio manufacturers to come up with a tri-band walkie-talkie, that is 10, 11, and 12 m, all mode, a.m., FM and SSB, both upper and lower sideband, also able to RX/ TX on all three bands that is Affordable like a baofeng uv5r
Be nice to even just have an AM cb in the baofeng chassis with the same battery. Wouxun makes one, but it's a bit pricy for what it is. Seems like most of the handheld cb's are big ol honkers that eat up AA batteries. The newer president and uniden handhelds seem alright, but I haven't messed with them yet.
Sorry for long post ahead on a topic that's possibly related to this. There's a very tiny ham hf ssb rig that's been around a few years now, (tr-usdx),. It's barely bigger than a deck of playing cards. I bring this up because in the past, the reason ssb was usually larger were the filters. Mechanical and others. It's also why the higher price. It wasn't just marketing. I remember reading that the team behind the tr-usdx used a never before implemented method of generating ssb commercially through software. Not sure how it works but I think, (not sure), one of the downsides is that you don't get more power to the finals because what it's doing is an emulation of ssb? Not 12 from 4 via hardware??? And the sound,..not that great on the other end but acceptable. The tr-usdx uses a tiny 8bit processor so maybe this is far superior. The five watt sticker on this one may be input power to finals? If others know more, please chip in. That said, I still love it and I want one when they hit the market supposedly in February. Love the form factor!!! Perfect for my crv. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers. 👍
The same crap over and over again in a new housing! When will there finally be an SDR CB radio with a waterfall, antenna tuner and accurate S meter in these times? That would be worth $300-400. No wonder people are using IC 705, IC 7300 and FT991 on the CB band.
would like to see a manufacture make a cb radio with the option of a remote control head...that way you can place the body ion the truck, and it can be a big as you want it...without compromising performance...and those little handhelds look alike mobiles don't cut it.
YES! One of these companies needs to release a model with a remote mount faceplate. It's crazy that they just refuse to do it. We're finally free of the face mounted pots to control everything so it should be relatively easy and amateur radio equipment has had them for years.
I think this radio can work beyond the CB band too as a new version of the radio AnyTone 6666. Probably the radio have made by AnyTone on the same factory.
I really wish some of these manufacturers would come out with a base station a good quality one

@@PhoenixRising251 that would be awesome if they could do that unfortunately
exactly and when one does come out they wanna act like its 1975 again and charge like $500.00 for it
@BOB12349307 Trust me if this all does transpire I'll gonna predict a starting price of $800 minimal.

I never thought CB would get big again ...I own so many radios now but I want them all.....
I think good skip conditions are helping in popularity?
It's the skip that brought it back! Even those CBs in the country side can talk without limit!

Happy New Year CRM!!! cool find!!!
Interesting... Thanks for showing.
Long time follower. Thanks.
When will this be on the market. Its definitely a radio to keep in mind
Wow! Happy to know about it. Thanks sharing.

so ssb can turn into what am is? hard pass...
It would never be as affordable as the Boofwang radio's.
@cariboooutlaw4852 that's what people were saying before that radio came out
@houseofcluck that's the same fear migraine crap that they're trying to push onto gmrs, don't be a sad ham

This would be perfect for my new truck!
I’ve been wanting a mini export for years

Great video. Reminds me of the Albrecht Ae-6110. Output of around 8 watts.
Thanks for the videos this last year, Best 73 from France.....
Parece um ótimo equipamento, eu ainda não tinha visto!
Aquário fazendo sucesso!
Looked on line can't find this radio anywhere.
Looks like it shares the same cast aluminum enclosure as many low wattage AnyTone radios. Is this a white label / rebadge?
Back around 1990 Radio Shack had the TRC 453 which was really small
It having ssb makes it interesting. The anytone Apollo 2 is about the same size.
But only AM FM

Yup. I have a Yaesu Ft3000 with the Mars mod . Great base radio . Awesome receiver.
Looks like my Yaesu 1500M 2 meter mobile look.....
Bring back the Galaxy 2100
How do I order one of these ?
I’d definitely like one
What we really need is the zaghetti mb9 microphone to come back
Hold my beer! It seems pretty good 👍 Id like to have this one!
Where to buy it?

It's coming, for sure
Stryker and ranger have some new offerings also even if they are copying each other lol
I.Want.This! Where can I get this?
Now, if only it had a detachable remote mount faceplate and a P.A. feature. It's still pretty sweet, though.

i also wish moboband or only 40-80 m band (amateur bands) smallest mobile radios .
I'll take one. Where can I buy it.
I want a high powered all mode with remote head, not necessary to be small!
There's my lil Pal!
Cool that would be awesome in my truck
12w ssb 4w am and fm
Totally agree with that.
To bad bill good not still alive he could test it do improve like he did to the RCI 2950 does the radio drift around in transmit
Most new radios now don’t
Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting back into CB. But
multi-megawatt stations on channel 6 need to be removed from the air first!!!
I will take 1 and hook it to my 667 and let it roll.
R M Italy amplifier don't sound clear
I would this for portable work

@@radiotory nice the anytone radios are great I still have a handheld that built like a tank
I'll be all over this like a BBL on a gym-bro if it's real!

$500 because of trade war
This is my radio😊 1:02
Parabéns cabra! O radinho tá causando hahaha. Quero um.
@@py2lsw can you give us more details? Output? How does the clarifier work? Tuning steps?
