Everytime I do a rewatch of 90210, I am reminded of how horrible Dylan and Kelly were together and so glad I never made excuses for their relationships or rooted for them. Everything from how they got together was so toxic and they remained toxic, even in the reboot having Dylan being an absentee dad. Talk about one mess of a pairing. No wonder Jennie prefered Kelly with Brandon.
Sorry, but Brandon was a jerk. Even rewatching this show. I prefer Dylan and Kelly even with all the craziness surrounding them. I'm not finished with the series, but the twins come across a little judgmental at times. And even more bratty than their friends, who really have family/parental struggles.

Poor Kelly was really angry because Dylan wasn’t fully invested in loving her and she felt it. She witnessed how much love he gave to Brenda. Dylan’s life involved the Walshes. And Brenda was the love of his life. Kelly felt that.
The writers really wanted to make a Kelly this very deep girl with low self esteem issues. She comes from a broken home and mom was an alcoholic etc.. but instead of making her a relatable complex girl; they turned her into a selfish, jealous brat. Very annoying and for some reason every guy wanted her. She had no depth to her character at all. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Every guy wanted her because she was the pretty, popular girl. All that other stuff about her personality didn't matter. That's how it is in high school.

It was completely logical that Dylan let Andrea, his editor read his manuscript before her, It doesn't matter that you're sleeping together Kelly. She truely was a selfish insecure brat. she threw a massive bitch fit if the attention wasnt on her. she fools around with her bestfriends boyfriend and then tries to act like she didnt do anything wrong. kelly was so insufferble and i have to say when valerie came on the show i was happy with all the crummy things she did to kelly.
She dated a drug addict, she went on a 2 month cocaine binge, she rebounded with a med student, she hurt her best friends, she invented a stalker out of her rehab roommate and almost got killed, and she made a fool of herself by dating Valerie’s ex boyfriend
Kelly said that if she had chosen either Brandon or Dylan it would have destroyed their friendship and so she made the only choice she could and chose herself.
