I remember watching this when it aired. It was on the same night of my HS prom. I had no desire to go to my prom, So I stayed home and watched this episode 😂😂
The scene would have been better if Teasly had just done a few lines in the ladies room with Jackie and had coke residue all over her face as she gives Donna the business about drinking a glass of champagne.
Even as teen I never understood why they didn't take Donna to the hotel room to sleep it off. As adult, Mel is hot mess for offering kids alcohol esp since he knew about the rules. Jackie being former alcoholic. Im actually shock Felicie didnt press charges on him.
Back in the early 90’s it wasn’t that big a deal for kids to drink. My seventh grade teacher actually brought a keg to class on the last day of school and that was only elementary school graduation. The whole point of this storyline is that the school board is being unreasonable, not that kids shouldn’t drink. Jackie’s drinking was only an issue because it would lead to coke for her.
The part where Steve falls at the bottom of the stairs is so funny and he says I had too much too😂 I Im sure wasn’t in the script but they didn’t reshoot. It’s so weird without the music in the background.
Donna didn’t even try to hold herself together and at least act sober. And then to drink so much you can’t even enjoy yourself at the prom and people have to chaperone you cause you all KNEW the rules? I would’ve let her fall too

Donna Martin never enjoyed any party or ball. It was either an uncomfortable dress and the spring dress, or the tight mermaid costume, or she was drunk at prom. She was the comedy relief token in all of those occasions.
I have to strongly disagree. She was too pale pasty. That white against her alabaster skin was a No. The dress doesn’t even look like a prom dress. I agree with the comment about her looking good in red.
