      I’m in Okinawa rn, finding electronics seems super overpriced so far. Still searching around. Saw a screen head unit for 1k, makes 0 sense to me.

      @@inkandpistons what do you think is the problem whenever I turn on the lights, the temp gauge rises but if turned off, it falls fast

    • @inkandpistons

      @@jessejohnreyes4146 hmmm, that's a weird one. My first question is did you put aftermarket headlights or anything else in that's different from stock. My second question would be to check to see if the temperature is really raising or if it's just the gauge acting like it is. Does the temperature keep going up and your car starts Overheating. Or does it just blip up, and down if turned on and off.. If It just jumps up and down and there is no actual heat increases it's probably something related to a bad ground . The dashboard or gauge cluster is probably getting interference from whatever ground the headlights are on. Could even be the gauge itself. It's a pain in the butt, but you'll probably have to go through the wiring diagram and see everywhere that the instrument cluster and headlights are grounded and check the quality on the grounding bolts. You may also have to separate grounds. If it's not REALLY affecting the running temperature of the car and overheating, I would just chalk it up to an inaccurate gauge as long as you're not getting in the red. Hope that helps a little.

    Have you gone with your plan b with flush mounting speakers in door panel?

    • @inkandpistons
      @inkandpistons  6 місяців тому +1

      Sorry it's been a minute for the audio update I was waiting till I finished the subwoofer installation which I still haven't yet.. I don't like how the box or location turned out.. I still have the 1inch ring in so it sticks out the door panel a little bit not bad.. it's not to in my way when I'm driving.. if I ever redo the speak I'll make it sit flush.

      @@inkandpistons did you screw the 1 inch rings into your door panel or the actual door?

    • @inkandpistons
      @inkandpistons  6 місяців тому +1

      @@shaunlepage8723 the panel. I also made the panel out of plastic so it would be more rigid.
      I didn't really want to drill into the door . However If you go with a slightly smaller speaker then I believe there's an opening already. I think they're either 3.25 or 3.5 in holes.
      I had already bought the fives which is why I did the ring.
