So was there something else wrong with the SOHC, or just the head gasket? (and presumably the bearings will have been shot too). You seem competent enough to do a rebuild after all!

Headgasket and probably bearings. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this. I don't really want it. I hate carburetors the twin is EFI so I'm happy. But then again if this is carb I can probably just use it as is for something...

@@AnythingWheeled That plus even an unideal engine is better than no engine if something goes wrong. Most of the cost in a rebuild is the labour right? So if you can get that engine back up to spec, it's good practice and you have an emergency backup drivetrain! That, and I bet you can flip it easy once it's running, if you were inclined. :D

I think if this twin cam gets hosed or if I'm able to due to an electric setup falling in my lap, the next step is electric here in this truck. I dislike carburetors that much. I'm hating cuz I'm ignorant and refuse to learn 😆 I briefly looked at my chainsaw carb and was disturbed and glad it started working again after I reassembled 😆

@@AnythingWheeled Hahahaha, nono I'm right with you. Nissan recently launched a mini version of the Leaf motor called the EM47 which is the same power in a smaller package. No-one's reverse-engineered it yet, but when they do it'll be perfect for our Carry's. :D
EFI was another reason I wanted the K6A, though the timing chain was the biggest one. :D

So is the F6A engine gaskets for the suzuki carry the same as all of the suzuki cappuccino's F6A gaskets (not including the cam cover gaskets)

It seems so. 11141-81401 Suzuki part number for the DOHC and SOHC F6A head gasket

Hi, buying it from Japan through an exporter like Jesse Streeter or Japan Auto Parts. Google will get you their info. I have no idea what something like that would cost shipping.
Maybe G+R imports in Missouri has one and domestic shipping to PR would be better?

i am in a 95 mitsu kei truck playing mental gymnastics with...rebuild the OEM, swap in a Goldwing Engine, swap ICE to EV small dual motor to retain 4WD, don't need a race car.

How'd it blow? Driving hard at the time?

Not sure what the cause was but it did spend a bunch of times on the interstate at full throttle the entire time. Those trips were all longer than 25 miles typically one way.
