- Master of Magic 2022 Gameplay: Were playing as High Men and using a religion focused Life magic Wizard. Our nearest neighbour is going to be troubling if we can't build up fast enough.
Were back after a troubling few months in which recording became impossible. Our first new game series is going to be Master of Magic a remake of the Classic Civ like game where you control a Wizard plotting to cast the spell of mastery to take over the world.

I am happy to finally see a proper MoM remake, so many fond memories about this game.
You got lucky to gain nomads, my favorite race, their horsebowmen and rangers would be a great addition to high men paladins.
Yes! I played this game to death in high-school. I'm so glad the problems with this remake are so small.
I like nomads too and am happy to have them, their ranger really are a perfect compliment too high men.
I was delighted when I found your video because you are playing nearly the same wizard I was thinking of playing! I wanted to find an example game to get an idea of how the pacing might be (since the lack of summons transforms the game plan), but this is quite a challenging map! Looking forward to the next episode.
It does change a great deal, focusing on production based units. It going to be tough this time I have part two of this coming Monday afternoon (west coast).

I played the original version as a kid, and replayed it not too long ago via Good ol' Games. How does this version compare to the original?
I like this version. I think I prefer the original, but that being said I haven't played it since this one came out. It might just be nostalgia.

The BEST TIP you will ever get from me is WAIT till it goes on sale with steam at 50% this game is very over priced. Save your 10.00 extra dollars for age of wonder 4.
I mean I am very much looking forward to Age of Wonders 4 but I also like this game very much and don't regret buying it. I also fear (and this is from. A huge Paradox fan) Age of Wonders will be a drain on my wallet for years while this game will remain a fun throw back with a few free updates.
I prefer playing the undead myself. They don't scream when they die but than again they are already dead. ;)
Nothing wrong with the efficient use of human resources. I too love a good undead focused game. But my enemies always seem to want to build undead armies on my dime. They should get their own damn mana if they want more minions.
I am irrationally happy that they made shamans slightly better than bowman in a magic strategy game. 😅
Slightly? More like never bother with ows because they are very bad. Magic shots ignore range and usually have more damage as well.
music sucks, like stop playing randomly, tab tool could be just included in tile.... its is slower....
Yes, it's imperfect, but it's a good starting point. Minor things will improve over time.
I detest the hex grid.
I like it fine. But to each there own. I think a remake like this without the hex grid wouldn't have as much appeal. But I do see the down sides of it.
