Super work Jim, why isnt this on global news. Jim should be rewarded to setup a new cyber centre and thwart these scam artists with a team so we can stop these dirty scoundrels!!
I worked at call center, where we cold called people to switch their cell phone operator (we have 3 in my country). The recording of calls, strict watching of call time (of individual calls and total call time) and break time is a standard practice. Of course you have monthly plan of how much at least you have to sell. Let me tell you, it´s not an easy job. Usually we had about 30 calls/hour. It´s true that most of them weren´t picked up. And when they picked up, usually after you introduce yourslef, they tell you to f**k off and hang up. Only about 10 % of people who answered the call were willing to listen to what you have to say. And from those 10 %, only for few of them you could find solution that benefits them. And again, only margin of those people were willing to buy your product. Most of them just said they go to the official store of the operator (to which we had to say that we have products that they won´t get at the store - which was true, but only partially, or that we have cheaper prices - definitely not true). We had tables around the office with most common arguments from people and how to react to them (like... I need time to think about it and check other operators, what if they had better products than you - reaction: ok, I understand, but this is limited time offer and I don´t know for how long I can hold it for you - definitely not true) And about hearing other operators talking - thats because the computers are so close next to each other. Imagine sitting there, hearing other people talk with their customers, while you have to concentrate on your job, and you have quota to fill. Needless to say, I switched job pretty quickly.
I also worked at a call center for a while, and literally everything you said is true and exactly what I experienced as well. We may live in the same country, lol. Or all these call centers are pretty much the same.
Jim you have impeccable timing. A literal day after your first video, I had a customer bring in a PC with a pop-up identical to the one you showed and advertising the software. Luckily, they were suspicious of the download and brought it in before they ran the setup for it.

Whats funny, is that in the past, I worked for Time Warner Cable AKA Spectrum/Charter, a "legitimate" fortune 100 company, and their US 🇺🇸 based call center operated with these exact ruthless tactics that take advatage of employees but mostly customers. The sililarites, down to the breaks throughout the day, talking flows and employee metrics is uncanny... But since its a "legitimate" company, it's all cool. 🤷
Yeah they suck...charter sold me a useless router/modem upgrade then only sent me half of it...the sales guy didn't know wtf he was talking about...I just wanted a new combo wifi/router to upgrade the 2-3 year old one they rented me...I would've bought my own, but he wouldn't (or couldn't) identify a model specific to their Network to avoid the rental fee (probly didn't want to)...now, I use my phone as a hotspot...I'll never subscribe to another ISP (hopefully)

This is one of the most perfected I've ever seen. The guys that made it REALLY know about computers and they also know what NOT to do in order to be more credible.
I sometimes suspect that these scammers have no idea that they are scamming, they are just trained to do it. not that anyone should pity them, they should know what they are doing a very dirty job.
Holy crap, I worked in call centres for a number of years (I left before it had a really bad impact on my health) and this is just how a normal UK based call centre treats is employees. just amazing watching this and realising that scamming people is a massive business.
I got to say, they got the full time employees on a good schedule. When I worked for a job for 8 hours a day, we were suppose to be getting two fifteen minute paid breaks and a thirty minute unpaid break for lunch. Of course, at my partiuclar job before I got there, the employees had got the company to agree to cut the unpaid lunch and just put the two paid ones together for a lunch. Kinda pissed that I wasn't informed beforehand as I was just quitting smoking and was really relying on those two breaks to help get through the night and ended up going back to smoking. That set me back for months. I also feel really bad for Micheal Despite Their Claims. He sounds like an average guy just having real problems and trying to find help.
Got an odd scam site blaring at me the other day after opening Edge and it opened a new tab to Reimage as well as an “error detected” site I did a full scan, I checked the hosts file, browser cache and looked at homepage settings - nothing. Malwarebites PUP scan - nothing. Malwarebites adware scan - nothing. Full Malwarebites scan - nothing.
If this is what I think it is, the message was generated on the web site you visited, not from malware in your computer. If you never go to that site again, you won't see the message again. There are many sites with a cleverly designed misspelling of a common URL. Mis-type one letter when trying to access Google, for example, and you may land on one of those. That would explain why your system scans found nothing.
Definitely and apparently there are 2 or 3 high up police in Delhi that actually have a hand in running these scam call centres. It was on a scambait channel but can't remember which one
Yes! The local police are paid off in 99pc of cases. I've had a chat with a couple of scammers who where very open and honest about this. They have no worries...

wow thanks guys, pretty quick replies (I just finished watching the actual video) .... yeah I don't know how my email got to them, and I don't know if it can stop, but yeah it's not hacked because their emails don't appear in my "sent" folder, it's just they use my name to give me Amazon "prizes" like gift cards, what terrifies me is if they send scams to other people using my name!!!!! that's why now I'm contacting cyberpolice, because before I would just delete that, but after seeing Jim, it's best to do something.

By "good name", I mean they were among the first to market a program that might, on a good day, actually identify and kill a virus. Before that there had been nothing. I'm very disappointed with the Indian government for tolerating this company's continued existence!
I didn't know these types of scammers are actual large companies. I thought it was some dodgy small operations.
This IS something the Indian government should be accountable for. The Indian government are criminals on par with the scammers for allowing these companies to operate openly
@@calska140 Some are large companies like this and some are a couple people at home with a laptop.

The police in India are as crookid as the scammers.
they get payed by the scammers to keep in business. its truly a shame.
I just read last year they actually made some arrest and shut down some places for scamming.
I assume they were smaller start up companies and such though unfortunately. occasionally it happens, but quite often they get away with it.
Wow, you are AMAZING at the info you gather. I’m so impressed!! I hope you can figure how to shut them down!!!
Anyone else think maybe it's time to get the UN or someone like that involved and finally put a permanent stop to all this once and for all?
Thankfully no one in my family has gotten hit by any fake popup alert pages to date.
The UN doesn't do shit, it's just as corrupt as any other organization...so no
@@humb1s3rvantYawn, that's a very tired criticism of the UN.
The real reason the UN wouldn't get involved is because the UN is too busy working in the developing world to do the job of the Indian government.

Simply a hero!! Thank you for explaining how these scams work. You should write a book on your experiences with scammers. I’m hoping the uk police listen to you? I’ve worked in Serious Fraud cases years ago, and wonder if your evidence may have been in there! You’re brilliant hun. Xxx
5:45 funny how the scam mentality even permeates their powerpoints seeing as how they do the classic adjust the bar graph scale to make it look dramatic, as though a small increase in hours or lost revenue is YUUUGE.
Hearing the guy call thinking it was the microsoft support number made me so sad, Jim you are a hero.
I found this documentary to be very informative. Your work is incredible, Jim. Keep up the amazing stuff that you do! 👍
I need time to think about it and check other operators, what if they had better products than you - reaction: ok, I understand, but this is limited time offer and I don´t know for how long I can hold it for you - definitely not true)
And about hearing other operators talking - thats because the computers are so close next to each other. Imagine sitting there, hearing other people talk with their customers, while you have to concentrate on your job, and you have quota to fill.
Needless to say, I switched job pretty quickly.
good for you! I know it's hard to find a job with an sizable income in India, so I'm proud of you for leaving! Hope you found a job that pays well :)
I also worked at a call center for a while, and literally everything you said is true and exactly what I experienced as well.
We may live in the same country, lol. Or all these call centers are pretty much the same.
I live in Canada and have never worked at a call center but I know plenty of people who have, their experience mirrors yours exactly
Seriously though, good on you for taking the time to help these seniors.
You could put all their employees on 'performance improvement' warnings and get them all fired...
Jim you have impeccable timing. A literal day after your first video, I had a customer bring in a PC with a pop-up identical to the one you showed and advertising the software. Luckily, they were suspicious of the download and brought it in before they ran the setup for it.
Holy smokes! Japan really needs someone like you to stop them before it will be too late.
The best way to arrive to japan, I would recommend to put subtitles to this video.
Japanese people are pretty smart
I've spent some serious time in India, and yes there are scammers, but there are also some really kind and open genuine people who are disgusted by this. But honestly, yes, there are a lot of scammers in India. Love this channel!!! Great work.
Thank you for your awesome work! I am a permanent resident in Japan and didn´t know that there are so many scammers here. I always tell people who seem to be vulnerable to scams, how they can defend themelves, but apparently there are way more fellows falling for the scam than I thought. Let me know, if I can be of more help.
Thanks for informing us. I wish Microsoft itself would get involved at the Indian government level.
Why should microspasm get involved? It is their wank software that is the root cause of the problems.

Great work Jim. Maybe Interpol will actually give a damn when they see some of those figures.

All those dislikes are from scammers of the multiple fake companies
Damn even the Japanese people gets scammed? Im surprised
About time Jim! I've been checking everyday for part 2
I mean they're Warner Brothers. They ARE legit, but because they are one of the giant media conglomerates they can do whatever they want.
they're selling actual products though
That's unregulated capitalism for ya. Greed, greed and more greed. And it will never change. Except to get worse.
You're my new favourite person in the world, so happy to hit that subscribe button! Your technical skill is so impressive (especially to a luddite like me who knows just enough to avoid scammers like these, but not much more), but your compassion for scam victims and the way you go above and beyond to help people in the moment, but also work to take down these companies, is amazing. I also see a wicked, dry sense of humour behind that smooth voice! Can't wait to see the next videos and, hopefully, see these guys start to fall as a result of your hard work!
You do great things Jim! Thank you sir! I wonder if there are some of your counterparts in Japan fighting this battle?
I love how much time is invested into these video's! keep it up jim!
I swear those 3 dislikes are from the scammers themselves. I'm not saying that for nothing. they watch videos like these sometimes
I think all the call centre companies do that, sadly
Omg this videos are so satisfying. Thanks for uploading this part, hoping for more :D!
Ill try to lure this support scammers someday to have some fun.
By god I'm setting up a virtual server RIGHT now!
Dude you are priceless. Keep going please don't stop
"I was trying to lo-beeb-g in to my computer"

Another question - are the police in Indian largely paid off to look the other way?
Definitely and apparently there are 2 or 3 high up police in Delhi that actually have a hand in running these scam call centres. It was on a scambait channel but can't remember which one
Yes! The local police are paid off in 99pc of cases. I've had a chat with a couple of scammers who where very open and honest about this. They have no worries...
Imagine the kind of world this would be if people like this put in half the amount of time & effort devoted to devising elaborate scams instead into a legitimate enterprise offering something a legitimate value? Nice work and I learned something new as always. Thanks. 😷👍
Hi JIm!! do you know or have you made a video about emails that spoof oneself? I've been getting emails from "myself" giving me prices and all that, how can they use my own email? and in this way I can't trace them back.... I forward the emails to a few cyberpolice emails though.
this video is not necessarily professional but it might answer your question

They are spoofing your email. Don't worry, they haven't hacked your account.
wow thanks guys, pretty quick replies (I just finished watching the actual video) .... yeah I don't know how my email got to them, and I don't know if it can stop, but yeah it's not hacked because their emails don't appear in my "sent" folder, it's just they use my name to give me Amazon "prizes" like gift cards, what terrifies me is if they send scams to other people using my name!!!!! that's why now I'm contacting cyberpolice, because before I would just delete that, but after seeing Jim, it's best to do something.
they hacked your account i think
They're spoofing your email. And your email address probably got on a list and they bought that list. It's not uncommon for that to happen, I'd wager that all my email addresses have been compromised in some way lol.
I don't know how you manage to get all this info, Jim, but your videos are so damn impressive and well done. Kudos to you for your never-ending crusade against these scumbags.
I know somebody who bought Reimage on Windows8. It was installed and Windows wasnt booting anymore. I had to recover all files and reinstall windows and then refunded the money via paypal.
Shitty scummy businesses
These are sophisticated scams. Well done on obtaining the information. I'm shocked at how much these are treated like professional businesses. I watched with intriguensss as graphs, Excel, and other business data and analysis went by. Most likely, business analysis info I learned from school! Truly none are afraid of getting caught, and must have agreements with more than just the other software and ad companies. I wonder if taxes, bribes, or fees are paid by companies.
Highly Educational
It's sad to see how many resources and valuable and motivated workers go to waste for monetary gains through deceiving and lies.
Think about how they could improve the world if they were to work honest jobs.
Thank you for your service for exposing those shameful scammers Jim

Lol a fake norton security.
Right? They chose one of the worst AVs
@@marklast865 like they didnt go with Avast or MalwareBytes, i know they are free but they do have premium versions and are some of the most popular AV software you can get.
Yeah, I laughed too. Back in the mists of time, Norton had a good name in AV software so it's probably a name that the less tech savvy can identify, hence it's use by scammers.
By "good name", I mean they were among the first to market a program that might, on a good day, actually identify and kill a virus.
Before that there had been nothing. Software was very expensive so there were a lot of "warez" being distributed by bulletin boards, who also had no means of checking whether it was carrying a virus, so enevitably, it was.
Viruses were endemic, Norton the knight in shining armour. How times have changed. 😉
probably does a better job than the real thing
Man I am from India and you are a legend.
One suggestion I would like to give is as you are having their bank account details why not empty their bank accounts and donate the money to charity or something of that sort.
They can't even go to the police regarding that as all of the money is illegal
@Alex F and if Jim dosen't do that, this money is surely going to be misused and open new call centres.
