There was a lot more to see there for sure! I saw one UA-camr had a video that was an hour and a half long about that battlefield. He went into a lot more detail than I was able to!
I definitely appreciate the comment and the support! I'm very glad you like the videos. I love so many of the old cars that I find but no one is ever willing to sell them it seems. We will have part two of our best abandoned and classic cars of 2023 coming out really soon.
@@whatsaroundthebend awesome! Looking forward to it. I seen the nova ss 396, it killed me to think that sweet car is sitting out there rotting away. Anyways, have a good one 🤜🤛😏
Great video! Loved the Civil War tour and narration. I am very much into history and especially anything to do with the Civil War. The pictures of you as a kid at the cabin was very cool too. You guys should come on down to Georgia and check out the Chickamauga battlefield as well . We have the Etowah Indian mounds and Stone Mountain might interest you as well. We have a lot of historical sites and I believe you would all love Savannah too. Loved the abandoned houses also. Thanks for sharing! 👍
When I went there as a kid, I had no appreciation for the place. I do have fond memories exploring there with my dad. I haven't been to Georgia in many years! I mainly just drove through it on the way to Florida but will never forget being stuck in Atlanta for three and a half hours! I was really happy that my mother could dig up those old pictures, but I'm not really surprised considering she still has the receipts and manuals from the appliances she bought in the seventies, 😂 I would love to come and explore there sometime! Glad you liked the video and thank you for the comment!
I actually went to Lincoln Nebraska yesterday and filmed a war memorial there. They have a beautiful Park and really nice memorials for all our wars and military branches. I should have that video coming out within the next few weeks.
Just now found this video. Wanted to let you know I am not getting notifications. I am subscribed and double checked to make sure that my notification bell is still turned on.
That's very strange. It's supposed to pop up in your notifications whenever I post a video. I wonder if you unchecked the bell and then rechecked it if it would do anything.
You are right! I can't imagine how many families never saw their loved ones again and never knew where they ended up. Would have been very difficult back then!
The beautiful photo of 14 y/o Jewel Smith looks amazing after 100 years! October 1918 was the second deadly wave of a flu pandemic. Many young adults died in this wave, while the initial phase claimed mostly infants and the elderly. It is very likely that she might have been a victim of the H1N1 type A influenza, commonly but erroneously called the “Spanish Flu”. It spread over the globe due to troop movements in WWI. As many as 100 million died in the 2 year pandemic. Shiloh battlefield reminds me of nearby Chickamauga N’Park. Great video Al! 👍
I wondered about that flu epidemic. 14 is so young to pass away. I spotted that photo of her from a distance and I had to check it out. I spent a while online trying to find any information on her that I could but there just wasn't much there. Just wonder what her short life was like. We will have to check out that area in Georgia eventually. If my channel ever really takes off, I would like to explore all 50 states. Glad you like the video!
I just looked it up and I believe you are correct! I had no idea what it was but did look around late 40s to very early 50s to me. Thank you for the comment!
First time to See The Battlefield

Keep up the good work folks, always watch your videos. I'd love to have some of them abandoned cars and trucks. Looking forward to more videos 😊

Thankyou for sharing part of your history
You are welcome! It was fun to do. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment.
I’ve been going here since I was 5. I love this battle field.
I know I was really little the first time my dad brought me there.
Love what you do. Would love to see and hear more about the war memorials and the cemeteries in your area.

That was amazing video! That second house was very old. I wonder if someone has pictures of it before it was abandoned.
I'm really not sure. I always try to find old pictures. I never have much success on the houses but sometimes I do on the small towns that I explore.

I will give that a try. The same thing happened with Abandoned World Explorer not long ago.
Wow! There are so many unknown buried there! Sad!

The car looks like a Ford Tudor. Maybe from the forties?

looks like a 1959 ford
Thanks for the info!
There's a battle site in Carthage Missouri to that you might be interested in it said there's also cave there and a trail
I will have to look that up! Sounds like something I would definitely like to check out.
Very cool 😎👍 love your family outings I'm glad you took us with you love the history lesson
It is definitely harder to find things to film here in Mississippi and Tennessee. I'm glad you like the video! Thank you for the comment.
Milk bottle. Early 50’s or older
I thought it was old but didn't know exactly how old. Thanks for the comment!
