Overhaul rebuild programs has such great performance for a life time of ancient history subway car groups and 20 other Redbird subway cars could be saved for emergency uses for the 2 and 5 trains and other lines too!

That's where most those subways end up.

Good . To hear that. India would have sold it for scrap metal

Just make sure YOU put every can, jar, and bottle cap in the recycle bin.

Recycling is a scam. They only recycle the stuff with a # 1 or #2 on them. Everything else they dump in with regular waste in the landfills.

20 other stainless steel aluminum aging cars could have been saved for emergency uses of some R32/38/40/40M/42 car groups too after a $399,000 to $688,000 overhaul rebuilt

I hate it when people throw junk in the ocean. Artificial reefs should be built to look like natural reefs.

Not 100% of support of this program as of a sea of life is a sea of pollution, After years of great overhaul rebuilts of aging cars was a waste of money for dumping rebuilted subway car into the ocean and throwing money into the water too!

Because the last group of subway cars (2008-2010) didn't last that long underwater like the redbirds due to the spot welds corroding in the stainless steel cars.

The stainless steel cars didn’t hold up under water. They crumpled. The carbon steel cars were long retired by then but they have held up.

If this is such a great idea why not dump old cars in our national parks for animal habitat. Stupid, wasteful program. At least this ones not as bad as the Osborne tire reef in Fort Lauderdale.

No it creates a artificial reef just like a shipwreck does. Throwing plastic things, plastic straws, etc polluted the ocean.
