Hi, Gi Joe fan here. Can confirm the game wasn’t very good. But just getting any gi joe game at all was pretty fun, cuz the brand is ignored a lot outside of the toy market.
80s and 90s was peak "American cartoons meant to sell toys". Then they were pressured to stop doing that and then I feel Japan filled in the void with all of their cartoons to sell toys.
@@kylegregory46GI Joe is the boys equivalent to Barbie in North America too 😅, they were even introduced around the same time by the same company (Hasbro in the 1960s)
i will have you know, yugioh was created as an insane manga about occultist egyptian spirits determining the fate of the world through ridiculous games such as "nitroglycerine ice puck table hockey". THEN after that it became a vehicle to flog yugioh cards.
The dream would be to see G IJOE characters in a video game that could be like metal gear solid, Call of Duty, terminator Resistance but hasbro will probably never want gi joe to be done in a dark gritty violent style even though it would work so well
No, if anything, the franchise deserves Koei Tecmo, and Bandai Namco, working with Hasbro and EA and then make it like their Warriors type video games, but better, and deeper, with every single character, vehicle, and such that has ever been made, yes, even the original 1960s stuff as well. The characters could get Skill Trees, and I mean DEEP Skill Trees, that contain the usage of Weapons, Vehicles, Mounts (like horses, camels, elephants, bears, etc.), Combat Skills, and that could actually make an impact in game play. The AI would be the good AI of like Dynasty Warriors 3/Shin Sengokumusou 2, the Weapons could have the Crimson Sun, and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam/Gundam Musou, franchises as its base (and even have the G.I. Joe/Action Force, COBRA, Red Shadows, S.K.A.R., and other Third Parties be able to be partnered with different Weapons, Vehicles, Mounts, and Combat Skills in Free Play Mode), and there could even be multiple player LAN, Console/PC/Laptop, AND Online Team Battles that work like a better version of Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War, but on both sides. Here is what I propose on such things. The two leaders of each faction (or three leaders if there are battles that have three armies) each lead commands on people, and then the underlings can pass on commands to their underlings, making it feel like a a more realistic depiction of war in that sense. So, despite it being in 3D, is this the proper approach to the franchise, yes or no?
I still have my GI JOE, He-Man, Transformers, and Turtles toys. Even a couple GI JOE vehicles in their boxes. FYI: Tomax has a twin brother named Xamot, with a scar across his face.
I was gonna complain that he came 1st but turns out he didn’t. While GI Joe was released in 1964 Cobra Commander didn’t appear until 1982; 5 years after the 1st Star Wars film

Weird fact, in the 1970s, an episode of Scooby and Scrappy-Doo actually involved a plot to a comic book company having a bit of sabotage and the character that was involved in that episode was called The Blue Scarab. Now, if you know your Hanna-Barbera, and DC, histories, then you would know that Hanna-Barbera had a number of years in which they made DC cartoons, and yet, despite Hanna-Barbera having access to the DC library, and the character existing at the time in DC, there was no push for the Ted Cord version of The Blue Beetle to be in the Superfriends, and related, cartoons/Western anime. Also, speaking of THAT particular character, The Blue Beetle is depicted as, you guessed it, a scarab beetle (which is also true, even with the modern Jaime Reyes version of the character), and, speaking of the Ted Cord version of the character, he too, turned to villainy, like the comic in that show, as well as the person that was disguising himself as the character. Finally, this was the only time in the entirety of the Scooby-Doo franchise that a person WAS NOT disguised a monster/demon/ghost/alien as the villain of the week.
