Thank you for this, Mr. Ma! I like to imagine that the first measures of this Prelude capture the vibrations that formed as our very universe was formed. Bach captured these vibrations billions of years later, and you send them back into the universe, healing and comforting our troubled world.
For years my fantasy (too unlikely for a bucket list);was to be able to hear YOU play BACH at Red Rocks Amphitheater outside Denver, where I used to live before moving to Worcester, MA). Maybe I'd hear you at Mechanics Hall, but never at Red Rocks. Then my brother told me it was happening and bought tickets for us to go to the first of your 6-continent performances of the Bach Cello Suites. That evening remains the most wonderful, uplifting, healing memories that I carry with me. A favorite part was when the wind started blowing hard and making noise into the mic, and you gave a smile and started PLAYING back and forth with the wind, at least for a short time. It was delightful! Your words and the performance with the youth orchestra were a perfect end to the evening. As we filed out of the venue back to our cars, Mars was bright red overhead and as we drove away a big orange supermoon was rising. I get chills as I write this, thinking of the magic of that evening. I hope you get to read this. Thank you for your work and your words and your goodness.

I try to play violin. I often feel a sense of wonder and pleasure when I pull a bow across a string and hear the resulting tone. The pleasure generated by hearing stings sing so beautifully when you play is beyond description. What you do is a wonderment. Thank you for posting.
