I appreciate the info, new to Livescope and forward facing. Just a casual fisherman and how I wish I had this 30 years ago for tournaments and salmon fishing.
"Come back in a pocket and get jet skis, gotta love it" story of my summers fishing 🤣 Thank you very much for all the informative videos! I watched many videos before buying my livescope and I feel yours helped me the most as far as honest feedback
Thanks, just ordered mine after watching some of these types of vids that show real world images vs. the marketing vids. My step-dad is in his 90s now and I'm trying like hell to get him on fish now that he can't fish streams.
Love this garmin I’m using it on my jet ski perfect not too big not too small can read the letters read the depth is most important for me on a JetSki.
Thats awesome, I just setup this same kinda deal, on my first outing I had trouble seeing my bait unless it was close to the boat, I am gonna try these settings for sure,
Thanks for the video. I just cant figure out why my brain wont process sonar imaging, when you say crystal clear I see 90's tv channel 1 static with a brief glimpse of a nipple. Does it get easier over time? I have been using side imaging for a year now and still have only understood what I was looking at once when a suspended sturgeon wandered by.
John, thanks for keeping it on a simple level! People tend to take it way too far in my opinion, especially for beginners. One question for you concerning the transducer mounting. I fish rough big water so my trolling motor is constantly moving, would this not make my any fish appear and disappear constantly since the transducer would be moving with the motor? It seems like it would be hard to hold on an image, your thoughts Sir?
John, fantastic vid, i appreciate it. Currently trying to plan for the future, budget wise, and taking that into consideration before setting my boat up with electronics. I have a 99 fisher freedom 2000, so its like a bass boat aluminum haul, but pontoon interior, with the front deck and fishing chairs. I think i ultimately want a livescope on the bow, and a main screen for captains chair. I think I want them to network, but not sure if that really matters? I noticed you have all three main brands, do they all communicate with each other? For starters, I am looking at just purchasing a captain chair mount, but ultimately want the bow and livescope. Any tips would be appreciated.
I am new to the trolling motor and fish finder things. I did a lot of shore fishing. Now that I have a pontoon set up for fishing, want to get into this. What is meant by the 360? Thank you
For total control the transducer should not have been mounted on the trolling motor. It must be operated manually depending on what you see on the side image.
I just bought my retirement boat and ordered it with a Garmin Ultra 106sv with the 34 ducer mounted to the Tm, the only settings I've played with is the Gain. My questions are as a Crappie guy what would your preferred settings be? I'm guessing they would be different then a Bass guys? also excuse my ignorance but my Transducer mount has several adjustments and is currently on down view, if I want to use the preferred Perspective view do I just readjust the Transducer? or do I also have to adjust the view on the head unit?
This was great information John For me just got installed this week Excited to try it out So many videos out there Yours was to the point clean and easy to understand Question What setting of the transducer weee you on? Forward? Down? Perspective? Thanks again
@@JohnCrews a representative from Lowrance has helped me some but he recommends automatic mode is excellent. He said "we design it for most users that way ". I have been operating mine that way mainly because I don't know any better. 👍😎
I see you have the GLS 10 transducer. Are you using the transducer that comes with your chartpotter/fish finder and LVS32 panoptix transducer? I recently bought Livescope with LVS32 transducer with Garmin Echomap UHD with GT54UHD-TM Tranducer. Do I need to use both transducers or just the livescope transducer?
Welcome to Smith Mtn Lake... home of all the worlds dumbest "joy riders"😡😡 Great video though... im using Livescope for the 1rst time this year and its definitely a new tool that is hard to master.
360. I don’t have live, but I use the heck out of 360. It’s awesome to find structure, and I also see schooling fish and cast to them from time to time. Incredible tool, and you don’t have to put too much focus on it while you’re fishing, as appears to be the case with live technology.
Livescope hands down... a real time image will always win. I already know where the structure is after I went over it with side scan, and I can see fish orientation in real time on livescope.
This is what is wrong with fishing Might as well play video games. Fishing is about heritage and connection with nature, trial and error. You're perverting every single one of those and it's pathetic.
Is it different than using trail cams to track a buck in hunting versus stalking a deer with a longbow? Everyone can hunt how they choose and everyone can fish how they choose.
@@JohnCrews I wouldn't really call what you're doing fishing. I don't need it to catch fish. Why don't we just drain the lake and let you run out there and throw the fish in a cooler? Anyone who has to spend this much on electronics to catch fish needs a reboot. My Pops would roll over in his grave if he could see some of this crazy stuff.

Thanks John just had my 34LVS and 360 installed I’ll look at some 360 videos for set up as well I’m trying to teach an old dog new tricks 😂😂
Hey coach Lafleur, can you do an advanced livescope video. How you use it in conjunction with your other units, what you're looking for, etc.
He does look like matt
Any idea how to get rid of the two phantoms that are showing up directly under the boat on the bottom?

Thank you for the live scope for starter video

Good explanation for a simple set up!
Man! Thank you so much for the lesson!
Z Y BANANA HAMMOCK 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.... I love my livescope. And im envious of your electronics. My ADD would go nutz looking at that many screens........
😂😂
You actually rode with my Uncle Steve here in Oklahoma years ago. Been following you ever since. Keep it up man. #BassCat4Life

Would you recommend EITHER putting livescope on a separate shaft OR getting Mega 360 and leave it on the TM shaft….what is more beneficial?
Thank you saved it to my fishing playlist
If it were that easy!! Lol thanks I am gonna follow your recommendations..
Thanks! This is my first time to use. How do u use this is conjunction with mega360?
Thank you for the information!
Excellent video
Any help with a setting to see my lure a little better? Is it my transducer or a setting on my unit.
Could be a number of things. Hard to say without being there
How good is it in shallow water, say 5ft. or less and looking under docks?

Maybe you said and I didn't catch it. Do you use the same settings for forward facing and for perspective mode? Thanks
I was only talking about forward facing. I’m not versed in the perspective view

Awesome thanks
what type of sonar is used in the setup. Thanks
I use Lowrance for the 2D
Why didn't noise rejection get rid of the jet ski noise? 😁
😂
You deployed your Ultrex without any effort, while kneeling to the side, is it a special mount or something?
I'm waiting for Active Target for Dummies (Me). But I will learn something I'm sure from this Garmin.
I’m learning Active Target now!

You need the gls10 black box to stitch together the livescope.
Just got mine installed. Can you help me set it up? I'll meet you at Parkway haha
Good stuff
You had me at zy banana hammock!
How do I remove ghost tree from my unit
How to minimize (wagon wheel effects
Banana hammock? I'm unfamiliar with that fishing expression? Explain please? Lol.
😂
John how is your Ketosis doing ???
I did it for 6 weeks. It’s a great diet for some people. I am back to 95% plants
😊😊😊😊
Lowrance active live scope
Is it worth the money. ..
Yes
Would you ever consider just using livescope by itself? Why even have the other traditional transducer views anymore?
Don't need it! I am a fisherman and darn proud of it!!!
This guy has one of esch big brsnd on his boat no compromising on this boat
Zillion was probably a bit over board 😂

Lol ,SML is nowhere close to having the "worst"...
SML is stuck in the 90s anyways.
Livescope or 360? You can only have one.

It depends how you fish. Some events I use one more than the other.
Livescope hands down... a real time image will always win. I already know where the structure is after I went over it with side scan, and I can see fish orientation in real time on livescope.
I'd go 2 ducer livescope. Forward and perspective.
Idk what looks worse 3 graphs and trolling motor clutter or the terrible cup holder placement. Bass cat is like Dodge of bass boats.
Holy wire mess… definitely not a install video 😂
Your not a fisherman your an IT guy
Using cheat codes
Why go fishing at all with all that junktaking the fun out of it
This is what is wrong with fishing

If you have to use this you have lost the ability to challenge your self to find the fish. So now you are catching not fishing
You should fish with it before casting judgement
@@JohnCrews “casting” I see what you did there

This is like spot lighting for deer at nite. So your really not that good of a fisherman.
Nobody needs livescope. We’re sick of seeing it. Should be banned.
You need to lean to fish with fishing skills. Not video fishing.
