At almost 60 years old i would like to say..Dave Lee has reinvented and played music that i grew up with and that heavily influenced me during my younger years of late 70s,80s and 90s clubbing, he has done this in a very subtle way without taking away the authenticity of these classic original tracks ,but doing enough to bring my era of music forward to a new generation so they can appreciate and enjoy the times that i loved so much, for that Dave Lee i salute you❤️

All the usual EDM and make a track in 5 mins in Cubase & Ableton is terrible compared to this! These are the real masters of their craft, Joey, Louie Vega, LNTG, The Reflex, Dr Packer & the list goes on!
I am young and missed the golden era (90's) but appreciate all the pioneers of house music such as Joey. Can't stand a lot of the new crap tbh this older stuff has groove and soul which new "house" music just can't match. I'm currently putting old school sets together if anyone wants to have a listen search me on Mixcloud 😊 Bring the old sound back!!!

problem is, people do not appreciate quality music and quality deejays...they are there for the music, and the deejay even lees unless the drink is flowing...sad to sayI remember BITD it was all about the music and dancing til you could not dance any more. And if the music was hot, then you would know which deejay to watch out for, hence you turning up again and again to hear that deejay play til you could not dance any more...yep, the crowds suck!

puzzled here... by comments about the crowd. what is it that people think the crowd should be doing? i don't really see anything wrong with crowd. no matter their age, they seem to be grooving to joey's funky soulful set. do people expect constant hands in the air, or mosh pit frantic behavior, when this kind of music calls for a deeper mellower response? its not a rave party? i would imagine it refreshing to see young folks simply feeling the groove, partying to these wonderful smooth soulful tunes.
I think what folks are getting at is that, overall, the crowd don't seem to be really 'feeling' the music or getting excited. It's more like robotic white people (looks sorta frat-boy crowd?) dancing out of social awkwardness/pressure to dance. It doesn't feel sincere. Feels 'forced'.
