A PERFECT cup of COFFEE / Camp coffee

- When you are camping there is nothing quite like a good cup of coffee. Especially winter camping. The instant stuff just doesn't cut it for me. Waking up in the woods on this 14ºF morning next to a brook was magical. Made even better by The PERFECT cup of coffee. Enjoy
Definitely a great moment of Zen, thanks for bringing that to my day Justin! We watch your videos daily and start our weekends with them over our own (less than perfect) coffee, and they always inspire (plus give some great destination ideas for our trips North). Much, much appreciated!
Glad you enjoy it! Adventure is out there!
Very relaxing video, I bet that coffee was as good as it looked
Thank you! It was fantastic! Quite enjoyable
Thank you Justin I needed this. Thank you for sharing and thank you for all that you do
Any time! I hope you are well
Hard to beat that.
Indeed! The good stuff
Love this morning coffee snippet. Whether home or away I take my coffee serious. I drift from pour overs, french press, and now currently Aeropress. 14 to 15g per cup works for me. Any deviation from this ruins it for me. Won't be long before we are dipping that paddle back in the water. Can't wait.
100% man! Life is too short to drink bad coffee. I am really looking forward to this paddle season!
I found out that my home coffee press plunger fits perfectly in my Snow Peak 700 ml. titanium cup. This makes me very happy. It looks like you are doing the same thing. Awesome video in a very peaceful way!
Yep! I have been using this method for years now. Any pot or cup with a 3 3/4" diameter will work with the jet boil press
I've been thinking about cold soaking. This is changing my mind.
Happy to help lol
That facial expression in the beginning 😂
Awesome area
😁
Camp coffee commercial!! 😂✊️🔥✌️💚
word
a nippy morning eh? Little crackling fire is nice in the morning to get things going. I feel like it makes the coffee taste better lol
Nice n chilly! Just the way I like it. 14º bub
Absolutely. The best way to start the day in the woods. Take care, Al
Agreed
I’ve been using one of these little presses from Jetboil for a few years myself !😂😂😎 Works great !

Have you tried an amok dramour lay flat hammock. Next level comfort/design
Tricky to get in and out of til you get the nack.
I have not. I sleep super comfortable in a good gathered end hammock. And I am a bit of a gram counter, so I never really had much of an interest in the Amok system.
@@ItsGoodintheWoods I hear you with the weight.
I wouldn’t use it to hike with for that reason. Canoe camping. For sure.
Try one it’s, sublime.
Nearly as good as the band.
Black coffee at home...meh. Black coffee in the woods... amazing. It's gotta be science! 😂
Black coffee good! I hope you are doing well man
There’s a video out there of how to make a universal bail handle out of picture hanging wire. I can’t remember the name of the channel but it’s an older couple, Lonnie and Connie, up in Alaska. They’re REAL DEAL Alaskans. They haven’t posted a video in a while and I hope they’re okay. Anyhow, Lonnie uses stranded cable/wire and a couple of crimps to make it. The key ingredient is the way you run the cable. I found it! It’s titled:
“Homemade Removable Pot Bail - One Size Fits All”
There’s also a method using a -very green- forked stick into the side winged handles of your pot. It seems counter intuitive but, you stick the fork in from the side opposite the handles and then one fork through each of the handles. It works better than nothing lol
I have seen that video. Far North Bushcraft and survival! They were great, the real deal! I do hope they are ok. I don't really like bails on my pots. I have one with a bail and I never use it. Setting them in the fire or on the coals has always worked well for me.

I found a post from a few months ago and, basically, Lonnie is just done making videos for at least a while if ever. He bought a motorcycle and he’s enjoying life. Connie is fine too. 👍🏻
Thank you for that information @@alanbierhoff6831
Ahhhhhh……
ahhhh!
Is that the Jetboil coffee press in a Toaks 750ml pot and it works?! If so, I'm getting one!
It is. Works great. Any cup/ pot with a 3 3/4" inside diameter will work with the jet boil press.

🤣
How'd you get it out of the fire?
Used the sleeve of my wool jacket
@@ItsGoodintheWoods
Just one more reason that a wool jacket is superior to a puffy jacket 😂
I love em' @@alanbierhoff6831
Wasting no time getting the water to boil 😅
I always get the water to a boil. Just because I didn't show it doesn't mean it didn't happen. Thanks for watching
