Great job Jim. I bought the bundle a few secs after I got your email telling it was available. Looking forward to learn och test ✌🏻
thank you so much Eva, I appreciate it!
HI Jim, just bought your two pack and they are really good and so easy with your video to change my photos so looking forward to "adjusting" more of my photos to use your two packages. Brilliant value. Excellent quality and thanks again for all you hard work, it is very much appreciated I am sure by many of your subscribers and supporters.
Thank you so much, I sincerely appreciate these kind words!
Just purchased my pack Jim. Printing off the e-book as I find it so much easier to have a printed version in front of you whilst working on the PC.
thank you so much Ken and I hope you have a lot of fun with it all!
Hi Jim, I purchased your HDR package and it's full of great information regarding the development of processing and editing HDR photos. I have read the PFD and seen the videos and now going to put it into practice. I would recommend this to anyone with little or no knowledge of HDR and I know that we will get a lot out of this. Thanks once again Jim 😊
Oh thanks so much my friend, that is very kind of you to say and I sincerely appreciate it!
This is really great, Jim.
thank you so much Don!
Hi Jim, I just bought your HDR Merge Pack and I'm playing around with it now. My first impression is that the presets are really well done and fun to use. I will deal with the manual on the weekend, but I already know that it will not disappoint me.
Short conclusion after a short use: A good product at a fair price.
Thanks for this and best regards from Germany,
Andreas
Hi Andreas and thanks so much for your business and for the kind words. I hope you have a lot of fun with it and make some beautiful images! Thanks!
Just picked it up. I'm looking forward to going through the bundle. 👍
Thanks so much Guy and I hope you have a lot of fun with it!
@@JimNix Already like the presets.
@@guytrahan8789 awesome, glad to hear that!
Awesome Jim, I love it!!!!
thank you so much Gene!
Thanks Jim for your hard work in producing the HDR Merge Power Bundle. I purchased it this morning and look forward to diving in to it and start working on my images! Again, I always appreciate your videos and thanks again for producing this bundle. Cheers!
Thank you so much Carl, I appreciate it!
Well done here Jim, I'm anxious to get this on my computer.. 👍
thank you so much Timothy!
I just bought it... I can't wait to experiment!!!
thank you so much Gene, I appreciate it and hope you have a lot of fun!
Just got mine, thanks
thank you so much Marc and enjoy!
Purchased and downloading now. My early HDR photos were pretty bad also, way over the top.
Thank you so much Roy, I appreciate it! This should help and I am sure you will have a lot of fun too. Thanks!
Good job, Jim ! Just ordered it, thanks for good discount !
Is Aurora definitely dead ? It contained some dedicated filters (and presets) for HDR for tone mapping,... do NEO filters make the same ? NIK suite, for instance, didn't replace HDR efex pro with color efex pro and upoints.
Thank you Marc, I appreciate that! Yes Aurora is dead, and HDR Merge is how they are moving forward with HDR. There is no adjustment to the tone mapping but of course for all the other editing needs there are a lot more tools in Luminar compared to Aurora. I find the base HDR in Luminar looks really nice and natural, so I have been quite pleased with my use of it. Thanks.
I recall jumping into the HDR fad a number of years ago. I took my cues from Trey Ratcliff, so I didn't go through the "clown vomit" phase, but it was a chore using Photoshop. I tried to learn luminosity masking, but it was just too hard and not user friendly. I'm going to pick up your bundle today!
thanks so much Carl and hope you have a lot of fun with it!
@@JimNix also From one image ?
@@arffotografie3955 are you asking if you can use a single exposure in HDR Merge? If so, the answer is yes.
@@JimNix also From lightroom ?
I will try again
@@JimNix thx. I Go buy it.
Greeting From the Netherlands
Hey, Jim. Buying your pack, but I would like to know (if it's not in the book) - what was your "day job" before you got into photography & postprocessing? ?Still working at it, or is photography now your "day job"?
Hi Bill and thanks so much, I appreciate it. It's not in the ebook, but I have worked in the software business for a long time, running some partnerships and things like that (non-technical roles). I have been balancing that and photography for the last 15 years. Thanks!
Hi Jim, here Roberto from Italy . I mostly shoot HDR in interior, I mean trying to have a right exposure inside the room and with a nice exposure outside the window/terrace/balcony. Are there in the bundle one or more specific presets for this purpose? Thank you
Hi Roberto and good question, but the answer is no. These presets are general in overall effect, not specific to one certain thing. They could work for that sort of image, but I am not a real estate photographer so I have not specifically designed any presets for that specific use case. Because I am often dropping highlights and increasing shadows in my presets, I suspect some of them could help, but it's designed specifically for that. Thanks.
Anthony Turnham has some good archirecture tutorials, including ua-cam.com/video/J0Hht1CVJd8/v-deo.html
I just purchased the bundle. In Neo, I see the bundle, but don't see the sky presets nor the LUTS. What am i doing wrong? Also, I guess the raw files are not imported in to NEO, but rather are stored on my hard drive and then must be clicked on to import? Sorry, novice here.
Hi Michael and thanks so much. You have to add the skies and LUTs yourself, there is no automatic way to do that. And yes you also have to add raw files yourself, again no automatic way to do that. Your best bet is to put the raw files in a folder of your choosing, and add that folder to Luminar Neo so you will see them there each time you are in the catalog. Then you can edit along with my videos. Also, check out the ReadMe file that came with the bundle as it talks about using skies and LUTs a little bit. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again!
Can I also get into the HDR module from lightroom.
Yes you can. I have a page about that in the ebook and you can also see it here: ua-cam.com/video/i0Dj5nJ3Sl8/v-deo.html
Hi Jim, dumb question, need to put my photo thru HDR merge before adding your presets? Thanx
Well technically a preset will work on any image, whether it is HDR or not. But I built those presets off of images that had already been run through HDR Merge so I personally think they look a lot better if you already did the HDR bit first. Thanks Kevin.
@@JimNix Thank you
@@kevinschwebs1404 you're welcome
@@JimNix One other question, am I losing develop raw when I run a pic thru HDR merge? Thanks again
@@kevinschwebs1404 yes you are. It gets converted to a TIFF during the HDR Merge process, so Develop Raw is now Develop.
Where can I find this to buy?
Hi Mathieu and you can buy it here: jimnix.com/shop/hdr-merge-power-bundle and thanks!
Regretfully I felt that I had to unsub from your list… WAY too many reminders regarding you selling this package.
Hi Mac, I am sorry you felt the need to do that, and I do understand that I sent quite a few emails, which isn't always fun to receive. I kept getting so many questions, and of course I want to provide answers. And yes I want to sell my bundle, as I do support my family this way. But hey no hard feelings, and I hope you will find value in my future UA-cam tutorials, which I will continue to produce each week for free education. Thanks and have a good evening!
