It's so interesting to hear how OCD and complex trauma interact and develop together, so much educational material is on just one or the other!

Thank you for this, very brave.
Unless you have had the emotional abuse behind closed doors as some people have, you will not and cannot grasp how destructive it is. ❤

Boomer parents will rarely, if ever, apologize or even have the self awareness to accept that they made mistakes. It is generational and as we know better, we do better. Learning to accept this is a journey.

I do think they may have slightly missed the insight and awareness and picking up a book to improve their insight - certainly mine did anyway!

I remember OCD flaring up a lot as a kid, in a very chaotic and unstable home environment. Later in life meditation and spirituality helped a lot. I remember that meditation book called 30 Days to Stop Obsessing by Harper Daniels helping.

Thanks for watching and for your comment. OCD is a way of being able to take control when situations feel uncontrollable so it makes sense in this context although I’m sorry you had to endure it 😢

Thanks for watching and for your comment. That’s not at all the vibe of this Channel but as parents like I am myself we do have to think about the impact of our actions

Do you not believe that bad people exist? Or do you think that they don’t procreate? Or do you think children should be born with the tools to handle parents with personality disorders, abuse, neglect, etc.. and come out unscathed or heal immediately at 18?
