Hi Cam - I first heard your grandfathers music on the John Peele radio show in England nearly 30 years ago, and I never forgot the Kimbrough name (even in that pre-internet search age). He was a remarkable artist and it’s brilliant to see that gift passed down to you. Thanks for sharing these lessons.
That was awesome to read and definitely motivational to know he reached so many so far and wide I feel indebted to continue his legacy. Thanks for watching John🙏🏾✌🏿✨
I got chills running all over my body. I've been listening to Jr. for along time. I'm 58 and picked up my first guitar 3 years ago. I hope I'm ready for this. Thanks Cam.
Awesome! Thanks for watching Barry.
It's been 7 hours most if that was practice. I can do this. Thank you. It's so much fun, but what is the best tuning for this kind of play? Soon I'll learn how to make it chugga, chugga. Thanks again.

Man I remember the first time I heard Jr.Kimbrough. I literally went into a trance. It casted hypnotic spell over me.. I'll never forget!! Keep the spell alive..😊

Me Too! Man, it is Hypnotic!
As someone with a musical foundation in rap, I really appreciate your videos. Took me a long time to find my way back to blues, especially being a Mexican from California. I’ve found myself connecting with Hill Country Blues especially with the rhythmic and lyrical similarities to rap, but it’s hard to find lessons on the style. Thank you very much sir
Thanks for watching!
"we're not going to get political with the names." You're funny, man
😏 thanks for watching!
glad to see some young people rediscovering the Blues. keep it up! \m/
Thanks, will do!
just stumbled upon this video. man, i think your grandfather's blues kicks THE single hardest out there, across the decades (right up there with mr burnside and mr hooker). great lesson too bro.
Appreciate you tapping in. Thanks for watching!
Cam, thanks for this lesson and thanks for your humility regarding how long it took you to get this down. I have felt discouraged by the struggle but knowing that someone who plays as well as you had to put in the hours to get this style down, well, that helps. Also, let's hear for it technology. It's 2023 and a random blues fan in Wisconsin can stumble across videos from a guy in Northern Mississippi who happens to be the grandson of Junior Kimbrough and is a hell of a player himself and offers up lessons on UA-cam.
Thanks for watching! Highly appreciated!
Thank you, Cam, I got real inspiration from that…I’ve only been playing for 58 years so there’s stil time to get it right!…yet another viewer from UK.
I'm honored that a guitar player of 58 years watched my video! Thank you very much for watching and the energy!
Yeah! Thnx again! Sounding great to hear you back!
THANKS FOR WATCHING GEOFFREY
Love it! Love Junior Kimbrough. Thanks!
Thank you for preserving ADOS culture and teaching our music to a new generation . It would be great to see more young black kids playing guitar .

Wow. Thanks Cam. I'm a guy who lives in Essex England and just want to play my guitar in my shed for my own entertainment. But. I want it to sound good to my own ear. Your videos are a really fun way to learn.
Thanks for watching Craig I really appreciate it, I actually never thought I'd play in front of anyone myself to be honest let alone speak to anyone about it lol, kind of shy guy in real life. But I do enjoy helping others and moving some feet and souls into good places and I'm always down for that!
Goddamn man, I'm a random guy from Scotland in his 20s. Been playin since 11 but recently started doing blues and finger style as opposed to like techdeath. You've just helped me unlock a new level of guitar playing. Thank you
Glad I could help ya out Seany thanks for watching 🙏🏾✌🏿✨

Terrific lesson! Thank you for taking the time to make it friend. If your looking for a lesson to get you started with fingerpicking this is well worth watching and so much fun to play.
Thanks Paul appreciate your energy!!!
Hey Cam, thanks for your lessons and your music. I’ve been listening to and learning to play Hill Country for about 5 years, ever since I first heard a record of your grandpa playing guitar. Just wanted to let you know that what you’re doing is travelling far, and there’s a least one little corner of London, England where a guitar’s playing Hill Country every night.
Wow, this is awesome. I've always wanted to travel around the world, guess this would be one way at doing that lol, Gary I do appreciate your energy, thanks for watching!!@
And a corner of Herefordshire too Gary!
It may just catch on in a little corner of wales too
And a corner of Cornwall UK
Amazing quality to your voice and you're all about the feel. Danka!!!
Thanks for watching ✌🏿
I love ms hill country blues so thanks man
Thanks for watching, spread the word
Right about 5:10 when he starts humming along…he is so in tune you almost can’t differentiate between his voice and the guitar. He’s just kinda messin around and his talent is oozing. I hope he writes his own stuff.
Edit: holy smokes! I had no idea! Lmao, no wonder
Nice! Yeah he was spot on. It's cool to see.
Even though I'm a fiddle player, I appreciate what you share. There is ALWAYS something to learn. One thing I thought, when you said you woke up and it was 'there' and you could play it. Part of it muscle memory, but part of it - maybe - is the melody/drone... whatever you wanna call it... ;-)... floating around in your head. You can't play it if you can't sing it. So the combo of muscle memory and the 'sound/melody' itself... is the Cosmic Combo... thanks for making the time to share. :) Always enjoyable!!!
Glad that I could offer something beneficial to you through my works and appreciate all of your support Katz always and I can't wait to see your finished projects and videos on your channel!!
Can't thank you enough for the wisdom and ,more importantly, the infectious authenticity. This channel cool as shit.
