11:20 , I'm from Haryana and I'll tell you why. It's a cultural thing. Majority here (atleast the typical desis - jaat, yadav, gujjar etc) goes for arrange marriages within their caste. For that the groom (now a days bride too) needs to earn well, better if they're government employees. We're OBSSESSED with gov jobs. Boys (and girls too) spend years upon years to prepare for government jobs and are left in despair, rather than honing their skills. Also having a small shop is looked down upon. Because there is a lot of land owners , so they have a sort of backup from the income their lands generate , so they aren't "forced" to take up jobs with 10k,15k,20k per month. Saying they're preparing for blabla gov exam is more "marriage-worthy" than working in private sector for say 50k.
I'm a jaat from rural haryana, I can see people having misconceptions that jaats are rich and we have lots of money and land. But the reality is quite opposite, I can't speak of districts like gurgaon or faridabad but majority of jaats, I'm saying it again, majority of jaats from rest of haryana fall under category of small farmers having land less than 5 acres. People are nowhere near rich, they just have enough money to raise their kids. Farming is not a profitable profession it is rather expensive thanks to high prices of seeds and pesticides and other expenses. Also the income is uncertain, if weather turns out bad and reasonable prices are not offered, how will a small farmer feed his family. Farming in general is a physically challenging task, you have to suffer a lot working in fields in hot summers and cold winters. The reason for not taking less paying jobs is that a farmer can earn that money through farming, if anyhow somebody picks a low paying job, it is still not a fair trade as there will be 1 family member less to work in the field thus rest family members have to do more hardwork for the same work. My father himself being a farmer never wants me to become a farmer the reason being explained above. And majority of farmer families are like this, children spend years preparing for govt jobs, either they make it or return back to farming. I remember my father telling me when I was a little kid "padhle beta, mne to sari zindagi yu hi maatti main gawa di, tu pura padhke likhke afsar ban jayei, taaki tu tere balka n yu na paale jiu tera Babu tne palan lagrya h" basically he told me to study so I don't have to grind hard in fields and rather live a comfortable life and provide my children with same. Hopefully, I am also making good efforts to turn my father's words into reality and I'm quite sure, if I keep pushing, one day I will make it, I have no interest in govt jobs rather I aspire to become a software engineer one day.
Exactly brother, i am from punjabi jaat family of Punjab. Mostly people thinks jats have a lot of money but the fact is mostly jats belongs to lower middle income group. Haryana looks much better than Punjab because of industry but haryanvis are not getting any benefits from these industries

As a haryanavi, I think there are two types of people mainly. The first one is who has agriculture land so their parents are already working in their farms. That's why parents don't want to involve their children in this type of work.... And the second one is who has no agriculture lands but stil their parents are working in farms on daily wages... So first one prefers high paying jobs whether it is in government sector or private sector.... And second one wants only a government job because in this job his family can get some financial security...

I think that would be beneficial for both india and that country too, you will come back to work in india so indian industry would benefit and u will work there for a short time so their industry will also benefit without them having to deal with more immigration. As a Haryanvi from Panipat I confirm your research is completely right. 1) Haryanvi youngsters are afraid of doing physical work that's why they need good paying jobs. 2)In Panipat we have biggest factories like Oil refinery, National fertilizer limited (NFL), Shree cement, Thermal and solar power plant, 80% of India's handloom is made here. 3)In every city or village in Haryana you can see Bihari living, OfCourse we are very friendly to them. 4) Paper leaks are also very common. 5) In MNREGA a person has more salary than normal labourer.
There is also problem of migration in Haryana especially Nardak belt. Haryanvi youth is hardworking but here labour isn’t rewarded and respected unlike Western countries.

Being from Haryana, I can say the reason for "security" is primary, which is provided by govt jobs. People say " plastic ki tokri, private ki naukri ,koi guarantee nai h ". Secondly, people are not comfortable to move out anywhere from Haryana, districts badal saktey h state nai, 😊 leaving the family and staying away from them for mere bread is not appreciated. They prefer to have agriculture rather than going for any sort of random job
"Thoda kuch" is better than "kuch nahi". Atleast pvt jobs can still feed you for a temporary basis. And even if you lost job, you can try in other company. Unlike govt job, where success chance is very very low. And you waste year after year getting nothing. There are many things which seem attractive, but not everything is achievable. Try to see from your perspective, the things with a glass of reality
Reasons for haryanvis looking for good salary jobs only: 1. Haryana's villages are also economically strong so average expectations are high. 2. Living standard is high in comparison with other state. 3.Haryanvis are more inclined to nutritional diet focusing on dairy. 4.Real Estate is very costly in Haryana. 5.Haryanvis are fond of buying and developing lands which needs good salary. 6. People are interested in training their kids educationally and in athletics too and support them financially till an average age of 25 which ultimately burdens the parents. I have visited Haryana villages. It is just like average North Indian villages. Villages are not so developed. Villages in kerala and goa are more developed because even village looks like city. Houses are big compared to rest of india and I didn't find a single Kutch house in kerala

The reason for demand for high pay is because the cost of living in Haryana is high as compared to other states. When I go to U.P or other states the food , rent and other items are so cheap as compared to Haryana. That's why they need a good salary to sustain themselves.

Khattar government is a big failure. Just for example, in 2020 government decided to give 32000 group c jobs and 28000 group d jobs and decided to conduct Common Eligibility Test ( CET ) but even after more than 3 years, none of those jobs have been given.
Mohak .. I live in Mumbai, I was born in Panipat, but originally from Sonipat. I Never want to settle in Haryana once I experience so many different beautiful and better culture out side the state. Its true that I have only lived in Major cities but I never want my kids to live in Haryana due to the castism.. not even in Gurugram. So After studing in B'lore, and worked in B'lore, Delhi and now in Mumbai, I feel I am safe and poor here 😅

Job are second most important reason for higher un employment rate 3. Being an agrarian state for long time the productivity keeps on decreasing and now the people in Haryana are either going for entrepreneurship or big buisness but those who can't are searching high end job

My take 1. Haryanvis want/need government jobs boy's marriage, social respect is directly linked to that and the current government has extremely miserably failed at that 2. We can earn 10-20k by our agriculture so we don't do jobs below our means.
I think the only way to reduce the craze of gov jobs ( which is a problem in all states) we have to push other fields like business, farming, etc........ We have to make these job more prestigious then gov jobs......... Like now odisha gov is focusing on sports and sports related infrastructure..... Something like that......

11:20 , I'm from Haryana and I'll tell you why. It's a cultural thing. Majority here (atleast the typical desis - jaat, yadav, gujjar etc) goes for arrange marriages within their caste. For that the groom (now a days bride too) needs to earn well, better if they're government employees. We're OBSSESSED with gov jobs. Boys (and girls too) spend years upon years to prepare for government jobs and are left in despair, rather than honing their skills. Also having a small shop is looked down upon. Because there is a lot of land owners , so they have a sort of backup from the income their lands generate , so they aren't "forced" to take up jobs with 10k,15k,20k per month. Saying they're preparing for blabla gov exam is more "marriage-worthy" than working in private sector for say 50k.

I'm a jaat from rural haryana, I can see people having misconceptions that jaats are rich and we have lots of money and land. But the reality is quite opposite, I can't speak of districts like gurgaon or faridabad but majority of jaats, I'm saying it again, majority of jaats from rest of haryana fall under category of small farmers having land less than 5 acres. People are nowhere near rich, they just have enough money to raise their kids. Farming is not a profitable profession it is rather expensive thanks to high prices of seeds and pesticides and other expenses. Also the income is uncertain, if weather turns out bad and reasonable prices are not offered, how will a small farmer feed his family. Farming in general is a physically challenging task, you have to suffer a lot working in fields in hot summers and cold winters. The reason for not taking less paying jobs is that a farmer can earn that money through farming, if anyhow somebody picks a low paying job, it is still not a fair trade as there will be 1 family member less to work in the field thus rest family members have to do more hardwork for the same work. My father himself being a farmer never wants me to become a farmer the reason being explained above. And majority of farmer families are like this, children spend years preparing for govt jobs, either they make it or return back to farming. I remember my father telling me when I was a little kid "padhle beta, mne to sari zindagi yu hi maatti main gawa di, tu pura padhke likhke afsar ban jayei, taaki tu tere balka n yu na paale jiu tera Babu tne palan lagrya h" basically he told me to study so I don't have to grind hard in fields and rather live a comfortable life and provide my children with same. Hopefully, I am also making good efforts to turn my father's words into reality and I'm quite sure, if I keep pushing, one day I will make it, I have no interest in govt jobs rather I aspire to become a software engineer one day.
Exactly brother, i am from punjabi jaat family of Punjab. Mostly people thinks jats have a lot of money but the fact is mostly jats belongs to lower middle income group. Haryana looks much better than Punjab because of industry but haryanvis are not getting any benefits from these industries

As a haryanavi, I think there are two types of people mainly. The first one is who has agriculture land so their parents are already working in their farms. That's why parents don't want to involve their children in this type of work.... And the second one is who has no agriculture lands but stil their parents are working in farms on daily wages... So first one prefers high paying jobs whether it is in government sector or private sector.... And second one wants only a government job because in this job his family can get some financial security...

1) Haryanvi youngsters are afraid of doing physical work that's why they need good paying jobs.
2)In Panipat we have biggest factories like Oil refinery, National fertilizer limited (NFL), Shree cement, Thermal and solar power plant, 80% of India's handloom is made here.
3)In every city or village in Haryana you can see Bihari living, OfCourse we are very friendly to them.
4) Paper leaks are also very common.
5) In MNREGA a person has more salary than normal labourer.
There is also problem of migration in Haryana especially Nardak belt. Haryanvi youth is hardworking but here labour isn’t rewarded and respected unlike Western countries.

Being from Haryana, I can say the reason for "security" is primary, which is provided by govt jobs. People say " plastic ki tokri, private ki naukri ,koi guarantee nai h ". Secondly, people are not comfortable to move out anywhere from Haryana, districts badal saktey h state nai, 😊 leaving the family and staying away from them for mere bread is not appreciated. They prefer to have agriculture rather than going for any sort of random job

Try to see from your perspective, the things with a glass of reality

1. Haryana's villages are also economically strong so average expectations are high.
2. Living standard is high in comparison with other state.
3.Haryanvis are more inclined to nutritional diet focusing on dairy.
4.Real Estate is very costly in Haryana.
5.Haryanvis are fond of buying and developing lands which needs good salary.
6. People are interested in training their kids educationally and in athletics too and support them financially till an average age of 25 which ultimately burdens the parents.

I have visited Haryana villages. It is just like average North Indian villages. Villages are not so developed. Villages in kerala and goa are more developed because even village looks like city. Houses are big compared to rest of india and I didn't find a single Kutch house in kerala

The reason for demand for high pay is because the cost of living in Haryana is high as compared to other states. When I go to U.P or other states the food , rent and other items are so cheap as compared to Haryana. That's why they need a good salary to sustain themselves.

It took 1.5 years for govt to complete registration of Hssc cet form. For over 5 years, there had been no police recruitment. God bless us and please pray for us friends.

As a haryanvi i think parentes in haryana think that only thing that can help in removing the burdon of loans and other things is getting a job like doctors &engineering nothing more than that and to get into any college they need to put their children in coaching centre in which the coaching centers ask for like 1 -1.5 lakh rupees in which they show toppers of the batch Ll over india to get that focus on that thing and this loopp is very dangerous for any haryanvi parent becouse most of the time farmers son or daughter wanted to become doctor and to full fill the fees of centers parents have sell. Just for example, in 2020 government decided to give 32000 group c jobs and 28000 group d jobs and decided to conduct Common Eligibility Test ( CET ) but even after more than 3 years, none of those jobs have been given.

Mohak .. I live in Mumbai, I was born in Panipat, but originally from Sonipat. I Never want to settle in Haryana once I experience so many different beautiful and better culture out side the state. Its true that I have only lived in Major cities but I never want my kids to live in Haryana due to the castism.. not even in Gurugram. So After studing in B'lore, and worked in B'lore, Delhi and now in Mumbai, I feel I am safe and poor here 😅

1.aftet 2008 you can no of aspirants from Haryana had consistently increased towards bureaucracy (especially upsc) and hcs and other state exam and as result one can find the top rankers are from Haryana infact in 2003 91 aspirant are from Haryana in the upsc final list and there are many candidates in top 50 all the times it means students are more focussed towards high end jobs
2.secondly inclination towards govt. Job are second most important reason for higher un employment rate
3. Being an agrarian state for long time the productivity keeps on decreasing and now the people in Haryana are either going for entrepreneurship or big buisness but those who can't are searching high end job

My take
1. Haryanvis want/need government jobs boy's marriage, social respect is directly linked to that and the current government has extremely miserably failed at that
2. We can earn 10-20k by our agriculture so we don't do jobs below our means.
I think the only way to reduce the craze of gov jobs ( which is a problem in all states) we have to push other fields like business, farming, etc........ We have to make these job more prestigious then gov jobs......... Like now odisha gov is focusing on sports and sports related infrastructure..... Something like that......

I was always facinated by the fact that most of top Hindi car reviewers on youtube are from Haryana...whenever they have user reviews the customers there always say they have 2-3 SUVs, Sedans in the family..I was always puzzled since most of the users dont talk and behave like someone who works hard or manages businesses...theres always the khandani paisa or land money attitude in them...which is completely opposite from people who work in jobs or run businesses in other metros in India
