    I’m impressed with what Uber offers. In Atlanta the pre-upfront rates were .61 per mile and .11 per minute.

    Easily your best video on this subject. Well done!

    Great video! $1.40 /mile seemed like it would overshoot the minimum wage mark to me, I see that’s right. personally, I am quite content with a dollar a mile which I do get sometimes here in the inland Empire outside of LA. Thank you.

      Getting $1 per mile 'sometimes' is the problem.

    It costs you roughly $5 an hour to run the car. Then you have to pay taxes. Health insurance. These numbers are also from 2022. Since that time, fares to drivers have dropped at least 50%.

      Do you have sources to back your claims up? Can you share them with me please?

      @FutureRideshareMillionaire I can send you current screenshots of completed rides showing both uber and lyft taking 50% of the fares on a consistent basis. These 2022 numbers are meaningless now, but you can easily compare rides from then to our rides in 2024.

    If you restrict the number of drivers and create rules on how old a car is perhaps keep it at 3 years max. That pay would make sense. Instead of flooding it with crappy cars, and too many drivers and making the competition lead to a race to the bottom. It also means they’d need to charge more and it would eliminate the bus fare folk from ordering Lyfts and Ubers and bringing it back to business/professionals etc… right now the majority of the rides are lower income for a luxury service, and the only way they do that is by pushing prices lower and thus paying us peanuts… plus if you look into the rules that existed prior to Uber changing them there was a structure to making sure people can make a stable living… so while I agree with the consequences of such a change, the other consequences are you are doing something that for the majority is a loosing battle. It’s like playing a rigged game at a casino…

      Only three year old cars?! 😂 Never gonna be sustainable

    There will be less passengers at higher rates so the average/hour would be much less

      Agreed! And I think the supply/demand will be unsustainable at those levels.

      @@FutureRideshareMillionairebut I Uber/Lyft is not even agreeing to $1 per mile/ $5 base, which most drivers would be okay with.

    Cabs charge $2.50 a mile, and $1.40 is too much?

    • @FutureRideshareMillionaire
      @FutureRideshareMillionaire  2 місяці тому +1

      Where are they charging $2.50 a mile and how much of that goes to the driver?
      This is not a rhetorical question. I want to know so I can go and research it.

      Driver doesn't get all of the payment

      @@bossbrent obviously, because they don't own the car and pay all the expenses:-)
