I had this car....my first new car....in my 20s back then...drove er from Fla to Boston, And Nashville to Philly...lived and laid in the back...same color too...miss that damn car.
Funky sounding horns there. Lol probably the ol' fiamm AM80 sets they had up until 2005 when the "new" fiamm AM80S came out on alot of the 2005+ GM cars and trucks. Pretty cool car otherwise! I love that color too!
I have a 2005 ls with 50000 miles. It is in like new condition . I bought it from a 90 year old. Every option. I feel like I'm rich everytime I drive it. 3800 series 2 motor is Gms best.
***** still there dependable as hell I have 132k miles on mine and the car was driven by a woman she neglected the hell out of it now I'm taking care of it
3.4 is a good engine but watch out for head gaskets and LIM gaskets. 3800 series ii you'll end up replacing the upper intake at some point because the EGR valve line goes through and eventually it cracks. Not a big deal. 3800ii lasts a very long time and isn't as efficient but it doesn't have head gasket issues either. I'd actually buy either one of the price was right and the factory key switch had been replaced and the factory security system had been permanently bypassed. Company out of Colorado figured out exactly what to do. Sells a kit for not a lot of money and a person would never again have to deal with the awful Chevy security system. Buick was a different system and better. Sometimes.. the BCM on these just needed someone to pull the plug and spray the contacts with electrical cleaner. It's worth a try. But the systems on these were not easy to fool like the VATS systems where you ohm the resistor pellet and then reference it to a chart and order the correct resistor jumper to be installed at the base of the steering column. I haven't had to do that in years but I still remember it like I just read it.
Hey, where's the 12 V outlet? I was looking at pictures of these cars on Craigslist and I didn't see either. I mean. doesn't it come with one? Because if that is the case, the you gonna have to charge your GPS or phone at home!!!
I'm starting to really respect and like early 2000's GM cars. From experience and watching videos of them, they seem really nice.
have an '04 3.4 L with around 190,500 and still running like a champ
big bubba same car; almost 225k miles!!! Dirty inside, but EVERYTHING still in one piece...
That’s lucky I’ve never had luck with the 3.4 head gaskets we’re constantly going
I drove several 2002-2005 Impala's w/the 3.4 as cabs. The "newer" ones had 200k mi. and a couple over 400k. Very solid and dependable.
She is in very good condition
