Picking one of these up for 350 bucks in 2 weeks has a blown head gasket but the motor is fine. The motor doesnt make any noise at all and the antifreeze didnt even get in the oil Figure once i get it going it will be a good car. The car only needs a fender and headlight to look great too
GamePlayWithNolan nice I actually own a 2002 Regal LS I also have the 3800 Series II motor as well honestly they are good cars especially as a daily driver I definitely recommend them but they need to be more highway driven than in the city because it will do much better on gas on the highway than in the city.

Yes, electrical problems abound. Interior lights, trunk light, exterior lights, dashboard instruments inaccurateart, starter switch stuck, anti theft system make me wait 10 minutes before allowing me to start it, sunroof not working and more. Don't get me started on the number if fuses that I have replaced. Other than those problems, the car is high performance, love the way it handles, the motor is powerful with excellent acceleration. Gets me out of the way of fast moving oncoming big trucks. It also looks great----quite sporty, roomy and comfortable. I have kept it clean and waxed and get lots of complments on it. However, considering trading for a Taurus SHO
I used to have the same exact car. It ALWAYS needed something replaced. I got sick of it and ended up buy an Ford Taurus that was older and had MUCH higher mileage. That Taurus was 10 times more reliable. I don't recommend an early 2000s GM car to anyone
+fordmustang98guy yes. it had every single option. it was a nice car but it always needed fixing. kinda sad that a Ford that was older and had 30,000 more miles ended absolutely nothing compared to the impala
Even tough this car is older than Lincoln Loud, it's still better than any modern car and lasts longer too. They just don't cars like they used to. With modern cars, a lot can go wrong with technology tidbits failing. Where as cars like these are far simpler and made to last long. Oh and GM's newer V6 engines pale in comparison to the good ol' 3800 Series II V6.
It’s not the head gasket the 3800 motor in the Impala LS is most likely the lower intake gasket the 3400 engines have more problems with the head gasket
I had a base white Impala that was a 2003. I liked the car and not the bench seats. I used to trade in cars every 6 years. That’s a waste. I have a 2010 Malibu which is the base car. I love my Malibu and it’s 14 years old. It’s kind of banged up and a couple of lights are on. But, it still runs. I’m hoping that it can continue to run. Because, at this point in my life I can’t get another one.
Angelo Smith the Grand Prix gtp and the impala Ls are similar. Only difference the gtp has the supercharged 3.8. The impala has the naturally aspirated engine

ENGINE
Wow I love those engines which includes the 3800 series.
My father had a base Impala a while ago. I’m 13 now and I’ve fallen in love with this car. I can’t wait until I’m old enough to drive.
I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre with the same engine and 209k miles on it and still running stronger than ever!!!
GamePlayWithNolan How long have you had your 2000 LeSabre?
Just over a year. I drive it every day

Lol, I always drive on the highway to work.
I also own a 2000 buick lesabre
2 year anniversary for this video!!!
I have the same car and my gas pedal is hella touchy. I can hit 70 pretty fast with a stock car
I fixed my sister-in-law’s 2004 Impala 3.4. I do like the car. I have an 03 Camry , 04 Frontier, and 09 Altima.

I honestly miss this car.
Those impalas had a great engine in them but unfortunately this generation impalas had so many electrical problems I heard
No one I know ever ever had major problems with impalas but I’m sorry this generation was ugly.

Amen. Mine went through 5 batteries in a year once due to all the electrical gremlins. Engine ran to 330K without a skip though.
I was in this car with my grandma and she crashed it I miss this awesome car
Granny horror game 9 Your grandma no longer has her Impala? Did it have the 3800 Series II like this one ?
Mark from [fordmustang98guy] I don't remember I was so young
Granny horror game 9 was it the same year as this blue one?
Those seats look amazing
I have the 3400. Car can't get out of it's own way. The 3800 has plenty of power.
Caleb Porter the 3800 series II is a better motor than the gutless 3400 SFI motor
I don't like rush hour at all ever.
Does it have an aux cord connection?
It’s an older car so I’m gonna say I don’t think it does. Aux input didn’t become a really big thing until 2007.
