What's your preferred way to progress the bench in a program ( considering working up to a 1RM) fan of top sets of singles? So the following working sets feel lighter e.g 5-12 range
Always had good success with basic block/linear. Work from 10-15s, to 8-10s, to 5s, to 3s, then peak. Sometimes throw and RPE 8-9 single in warm-ups for fun
@@freakied0550 appreciate you sharing the knowledge. Do you usually peak faster or slower? Like how long would you say each block is? 4-6 weeks is plenty no?
Seeing people on the internet benching 200 kg makes me believe I can do it too. I'm at 155 after a couple of months of benching (I had been lifting prior to that) but I've done it all by myself with Greg Nuckols' programs. The weights are getting heavy though lol adding 50 kgs isn't gonna be easy...and I'm terrified of pec tears 😅
I wouldn't be too worried about pec tears, especially if drug free. The videos get highlighted when it happens of course, but pec tears aren't as common as the internet would lead one to believe. Best of luck on your pursuit.
I press with my shoulders and triceps primarily too, not necessarily a bad thing. Generally if you want more chest, a wider grip will help. Could also try some smaller movements to activate the pecs a bit before benching.
@@juuso4148 his best bench is like around 247 kg but many say he's the strongest natural bench presser of all time that's why I'm asking but he hasn't replied to my comment 😢
200kg bench press? Why not just do 10 reps with the 20kg bar?
😂😂😂
Stonks
Big brain comment
I like the way the whole bench is moving when the weight's racked.
3 more left in the tank bro
Not quite
If I ever want to resume bench pressing, I will watch this video on a permanent loop.

@@justblakie5338 typically 4 weeks. If I'm really knocking out rep PRs though I'll ride the momentum and extend the block.

@@freakied0550 thank you very much :)
how many time the session get?
That’s pretty strong.
It's okayish
Whenever I bench I feel like I'm pressing with my arms and even a bit of my shoulders rather than my chest, what am I doing wrong?

Have the log presses impacted your bench in any way?
Given how smooth this was, and I only bench once a month or so, seems they've been at bare minimum maintaining bench okay.
That look easy. I think you can 500 at a lower bodyweight tbh. Maybe back to 250kg/550lb even 😅?
Lightest I hit 500 was 270. I think I could give it a run at 242, but I also don't want to commit to bulking to 242 😂
Just to know, has anyone naturally benched more than you up until today?
Im sure there are elite natty lifters who have benched more than 200kg. But im not saying 200kg isnt impressive or heavy af weight.
