Nice setup bro!! I have seperate amplifiers for all channels(5.1) and to all of you who have never had seperates in your system do'nt knock it until you tried it, some people think it is overkill but the sound really is amazing!!

I am somewhat of an audiophile James. I have a lot of Bryston gear, some California Audio Labs gear and NHT 3.3 speakers. Back in the day it was close to 15K for the whole system. Funny how these days nobody even bothers with a CD player and at the time the Cal Audio CL-10 was considered the best 5 disc on the planet. Hardly worth $250 now LOL. But it is to me.
My stuff is probably considered "lower to mid level high end". It can get insane if you have the money to spend.
Good to see you here on the Tube. Been too busy for the boards but I always check your channel here.

Those are list of nice equipments. Yeah I agree with you. Audio/video hobby can be very costly, but just need to work with your own budget. I'm still a fan of physical media. Blu-rays for watching movies and CD for 2 channel listening. It gives me better experience and sound quality rather than streaming. Thank you for the support and generous comments.

I just love what you did here all my favorite gear in one spot , I'm looking to do the same when I get the funds. I'm looking at marantz receivers but denon would do just fine , it is what I have at the moment I have a denon avr 890 old thing but it is what I have also running a pair of really old energy 5.1e speakers and a definitive center channel with a energy 12 inch sub . But I'm really looking forward to starting a new build. Thank you for sharing your wonderful system with us both of them. Take care and God bless.

@@kid007inplay no problem, your video was thoroughly enjoyable and also what are you looking to upgrade to? The SvS Ultra? That is what I have in mind for myself. My energy 5.1e pound but they are over 20 years old and I have taken care of them but age is age and it just isn't anything like having something new in witch I'm sure will sound better, newer technology and all. It has nothing to do with high end, but you have really good setup. As you can see brand name and made in does not matter. Quality and wiring is. In fact, I'm pretty sure it is really good theater setup. I would recommend to not listening anyone's know-it-all. I called it laughable. Overall, you did a good job. By the way, I have Oppo 205.

    • @kid007inplay

IMO, everyone has different taste, sound preference, and allowable budget. You just need to find what you like thru research. I'm very content with my set up. Oppo made amazing bluray players and I'm sure you're enjoying the 205. It's too bad it's discontinued. Thank you for the comment and watching my video.

@@kid007inplay And I played with my Oppo remote for a hours because of light up motion, never growing tired of haha. I almost never got all new theater equipment, most of those are from ebay and thrift. The newer AV Receiver does not have the phono input and the 7.1 input, except for Marantz. So I have old Onkyo AV Receiver with phono input and 7.1 input in theater room.

    • @kid007inplay
      @kid007inplay  4 роки тому

I really like my outlaw amplifiers and highly recommend it. I run a lot of devices to Panamax power conditional, so I can't comment about power consumption. If you play your music and movies above average listening level, you'll notice the difference with outlaw 5000. I'm not sure how many channels you'd run, but if budget allows, I'd go for 7000 model for extra channels and additional features. Thanks for watching.

kid007inplay I currently own the Monolith 7 x 200, but I need 5 more channels and I’m looking at the outlaw bc I found it for $300. Do you have it connected on a dedicated 20 amp outlet? I’m fully aware that if you have separate power amp’s it can make a difference to the performance of your speakers but as I was saying one decent av receiver would be more than enough to power you’re cheep not so powerful speakers i I’ve got a denon 6400h and it has more than enough power in it for my bowers and Wilkins CMS2 and my kef R50 atmos speaker’s 7.1.4 bye the way I was thinking about buying a separate power amp my self recently because when I got the atmos speakers the sound was a bit lower than it was previously with out them so I called my local hifi retailer and asked do I need a separate power amp now they could have said or yes you do just to get a sale but guess what when I told them what receiver I’m using the expert told me my receiver was more than capable of powering my speakers and that atmos sound is lower than say Dolby true hd for example and it’s nothing to worry about and as I said at the beginning of this if you had some bigger and better speakers you would need separate power amps

I believe they are rated to reach 22Hz, but I think they struggle beyond 26Hz. Very smooth and deep for $400 sub. It's matter of your listening preference and budget. You can try both RSL and SVS, since they have 30-45 days return policy.

ummm why do you have a cheapo Smasung blu ray player when you have the vastly superior Oppo 203?
and you got game consoles for streaming so why not sell it?
    nice setup though! svs!

I didn't sell it since I'll eventually move the Samsung 4k player to my basement set up. Thanks for watching.

The rear height and the side surrounds are almost on the ceiling. Sorry. Nope. Not good

I know side surrounds are too high, but that's the only place I can put them and work fine. My front and rear height channels sound great with slight adjustment on db gain.

You’ve got a lot of stuff on the bench that doesn’t need to be there all them extra amps and stuff why not just get a decent receiver but I guess if you did that it might not look as good don’t be fooled people this is a bog standard setup

I guess you know nothing about power rating on receivers and sound difference in separate amps. Thanks for your stupid comment.

I'm aware it's not ideal due to my room set up, but with adjustment and tweaking, it works just fine.

I know.... out of everything that was the ONE thing that stood out to me as well. Especially if you already have height channel set up
BUT I also understand that not every room is ideal and some times you just have to settle for what your room can handle and it's your room so you can do whatever you want obviously
