Facebook Group Live Streaming With Zoom (FIX FOR 2024)

- Facebook just changed (removed) their group API access, which means we can no longer natively stream zoom calls to Facebook group.
This has potentially massive impacts on a lot of online businesses.
In this video, I’m going to show you how to fix it with this work around.

I followed the steps but the custom live streaming isn't there in meetings when I check. So I'm a bit stumped.

Make sure it’s set first in your zoom settings, then in your personal meetings settings

After going into account settings, In meeting (advanced) ... turn on "Custom Live Streaming" Click save. Then go back into an individual meeting, select live streaming, the custom streaming service configuration still isn't there. same when I go to create a new meeting.
same. I get so far as to only being able to choose a page, not a group.
Same! It doesn't show in a zoom meeting when I edit the live options - I've just updated the app as well and still not working
Same did you guys figure this out? Ive enabled the custom live stream in zoom but when I start my meeting and click live it doesn't give me that option! Wth

My guy, just wanted your opinion. I watched your video thinking I did everything wrong tonight, but I actually did it all right.
The issue is that while streaming in front of 90,000+ people, my virtual background from Zoom did not display in the Facebook live stream. Only the people on the zoom call saw it, but Facebook saw my garage, smh. Did I do something wrong or is this normal?

Thanks for the video. I'can get this working but the reason I use zoom is so I can screen share into Facebook. This function no longer seems to work. Do you know if it is possible. Thanks you
Thanks for sharing the workaround - was going to be detrimental to my business model if I couldn't find a solution.
However, after the advanced setting saved to include Custom Streaming - it's not showing up on my meeting Live Stream tab! Have logged out and in again but no difference. Any suggestions?
Did you set them up in the account management settings in zoom?

I got the screen from zoom to enter the URL info yesterday, but today when I test it out, that page does not come up and it goes directly to the message 'preparing to live stream the meeting', so I can't actually go live. Can you provide any advice on how to resolve this?
Hi! I have followed this instructions in the past and it worked. Now every-time I try to go live in my group I also go live in my profile stories! I can't understand why it has started that suddenly and I can't figure out how to stop it. please help!

What's the difference from that and the Webcam option?
THank you so much for this. Live streaming from zoom into my groups is very important to me. Glad to have a solution for that problem now. Is this a one time set up for recurring meetings which always go in teh same group, or do I have to set it up each time? thanks!

Firstly, thank for the video. Question: If I stream to my FBG via zoom, how well will the video quality be? I am currently using streamyard. The video quality was garbage (i use a macbook pro 2021) and to get good quality Streamyard wants me to upgrade to $50/mo plan. I invested in a good webcam to avoid that, but the quality still sucks. Seems like Streamyard isnt allowing my camera to work its fullest potential unless I upgrade. So I'm thinking of canceling streamyard and sticking with zoom. If I follow this tutorial, how well will the video quality be if using an expensive webcam (or macbook pro cam which arent that bad)? Will I have the same issue?
can you make a video about how to use the same link, api, stream key, etc.. just set it up one time and be done. also, Under my Meeting (re-occuring) i dont have the My meetings> Details> Polls/Quizzes > Survey > Live Streaming

Is there a recent problem with live streaming from Zoom to Facebook Group? Im getting a Bad Gateway error since yesterday. I;ve tried clearing cache on browser, and removing and reinstalling the livestream app in zoom.

Am I the only one who got an error code after entering in the streaming URL, key, etc.? It says I don't have permission to livestream (even though I can see the "Custom Live Streaming Service" in my zoom meeting set up) ...thoughts?
My zoom says "locked by admin" so that I can't turn that check box on in zoom heeeelp!!!! I've been trying to reach out to zoom. What level Zoom do you have in order to use this?

Odd I don't see the opton for LIVE streaming in my facebook group. It is greyed out.

thank you. Is there an easy way to do this with pre-recorded video? the only way I have found it to work is to open the saved video via screen share then I have to sit there until the Live is over to stop the stream. also, have to sit there to start the Live. Thanks so much

It worked the 1st time I used it, when I went back to my group to do a 2nd live stream, I opened a zoom meeting, clicked and "More"> Live on Custom live streaming service, zoom immediately connected then sent me to my fb group. When I went in to do a post it says "connect streaming service" it won't let me put the stream key, etc. in again on zoom. So zoom says it's streaming, FB says it's not connected.
found my fix; on meetings I set it to Configure live stream during the meeting and re-copy the stream key, etc. then it worked.

@@DarlaDelayne where do you locate this - the configure live stream during meeting? I've had the same problem and can't rectify it
@@Adamreid They've taken out the option to "configure live stream during meeting" and I just checked and it will let you without the option. First, Go to Settings>Meetings scroll to Advanced>allow Live Stream and click custom live streaming service. Then set up your meeting in zoom, start the meeting and go to your fb group and in a new post choose Go Live. Then it will take you to the "create a live video" pg and be sure you're on the option for streaming software and not webcam. Next copy the stream key for that post and go back to zoom meeting and click on more and choose "Live on Custom Live Streaming Service". It will take you to the page that says "Stream the Zoom Meeting to a Custom Streaming Service" The streaming url is always the same, the Streaming Key is the one you change each time. Delete the one on the page and paste the one you copied from your FB create a live video pg. Double check your fb group streaming page that it's the right one and click GO LIVE at the bottom. You can check and see if it's connected on that FB Create a Live Video page and when you're ready, click Go Live there.
