Always put it in writing….even through a text, email, on a napkin or even toilet paper! And if you make a new arrangement/agreement, put that in writing also! When she said okay, I’ll give you your money back that was the new amended contract. This is a good lesson to learn! Here’s another free lesson for you…..if a person puts the car in their name and then gets mad and wants to take it from you….that is called an illegal repossession! You can sue them for ALLLL your money back! You can not repo a car unless the payment has been late at least 90 days, thats 3 months straight, in a row. Example: if I pay you August, and miss September and October, then November, then miss December and January, that is still not 90 days straight! And also, if you let someone move in with you, and you decide to put them out……you must go to court to evict them. You can’t just get mad and say get out! Nope! That’s called an illegal eviction. Best things are do not give cars to people without a written contract….and if you let someone live with you do not allow them to receive mail at your house. Write a month to month contract! Okay…..there’s your free legal information. Stop practicing Hood Law‼️😮

She is the one that should’ve never told the defendant, I will give you all your money back in exchange for that car. this really leads me to believe that the payment that she was charging the defendant probably was not the payment that was due to the finance company and she did not want her to know. I think she was making her a little bit of pocket change off the car. maybe hundred dollars extra each month which ain’t much but hey she bout was doing it
@@NestozLikwidVPotient it's kind of like enforcing loan sharking. It's one-sided and unethical which is why no judge will enforce. People signed contracts and make an agreement to pay back ridiculous amount of money. But THIS judge letting the defendant be able to drive a car for free for a whole year, because the plaintiff signed a ridiculous contract that is also one-sided and unethical is a garbage move🤷🏽♀️

No, this is what happens when you don't write and enforce the contract properly.
They weren't friends. They just had a tragedy in common. Some people don't comprehend what friendship really represents.
When the show started they Say they were friends but I guess with friends like this who need enemies
@@wandabellamy6120 that's true they were friends. the judge making the plaintiff pay is like enforcing loan sharking. I see both sides of the argument. The problem is the plaintiff agreed to pay her back all the money 🤦🏾♂️😂
BOTTOM LINE & POINT BLANK
She was built like a champ
She didn't want tht car , she wanted that money 😅
He did exactly what every Judge will do when there is a written agreement. This is a pure example why people should stop doing Hood agreements! I worked in the legal field for over 16yrs….it’s always the same thing! We agreed verbally! No Judge is going to take a verbal contract.
When did a verbal agreement become HOOD law? 👀
@@jew-el1 when you didn’t get it in writing….you see how it worked out. A verbal agreement is nothing but your word against mine 😵🤭✌️
I know what happen mam you ain’t gotta tell me.. I been around 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 JM swear he know everything 😂😂
The plaintiff stated that in order for the defendant to deal with the finance company she would need the plaintiffs SS#…I wouldn’t give out mine either..defendant should have refinanced it and gotten it in her own name
Thats not a fair judgment at all. Basically she got to drive a car for free. Thats BS. Judge Judybwpuld have never allowed that. I do not agree with JM decision
The clothes these young mothers wear..especially to court!
People with children can't party every night of the week...children will definitely be Neglected.
Plaintiff is holding that thang
Defendant..is so ungrateful..she tried to help her and this is her repayment..she drives her car for free..KARMA
But why did the plaintiff agree to this agreement? Something may be missing to our eyes.
Wow! Talking about ungrateful. Stayed with you until your son took his last breath, called to check on you every day after and allowed you to get a car in her name, that you never paid on time. You’re mad about her dancing in the club 5/6 years ago. This is why I don’t want to help anyone do anything anymore
There's a reason she never met her husband 🤔
Good point!
The plaintiff is talking too tough for the defendant to not do something to that car before she gives it back.
So she basically had a car for 16 months for FREE. Judge dead ass wrong. Should have only given her half back
That would have invalidated THEIR agreement.
As a woman this happens everyday where friendships end over a man.
True. I've seen men fall out for the same thing, but not as much as women (IMO). A lot of issues between men over seemingly other reasons of boil down to a dispute about their women.
Women should compete for good men.

This is soo funny and hilarious. At first, they started with friendship and comforting each other. The court room was quite due to her son's death, even judge Mathis, was even sobered. It went from shedding tears to unleashing the dragon. There is a saying that goes like this "From frying pan to fire".
Typical women
The defendants looks like the type to think she’ll win by default because of her size! She probably grew up as a bully! Size means nothing! Notice how at the final thought moment at the end with Doyle, when that linebacker tried to make her flinch, my girl the plaintiff didn’t budge! She’s definitely about that life and STAY READY!
I’d put my money on the plaintiff YALL!

Why the plaintiff wearing that outfit to court?
So the defendant receives all her money back, even though she rode the car for 16 months, over a text argument.Thats some b.s and the judge could have considered that fact, but it's obvious he didn't like the plaintiff..
Sounds like a sorority.

Hey, Judge Mathis Family!!❤❤
Defendant loses her son to gun violence then gets sued by her so called friend here in court. I don't care if it's a friend or family you can't do anything for anyone. No loaning at all.
Its usually not a good idea, but it can be handled properly. The litigants didn't handle it well from the very beginning of the arrangement.
That's exactly what I was thinking!
If they lived in Texas that car would have been removed rain, shine, sleet, snow, ice storm, tornado, hurricane, etc etc. 😂🤣Texas repo drivers work 24/7 365 days a year!
She is suppose to be loyal to her friend not some man. When will women learn. Especially black women.
why would she not give her the account number to pay direct to the finance company? All plaintiff has to do is contact the finance company each month and make sure she’s paying it on time. The payment probably was 250 and not 350. that’s probably why she didn’t want to give it to her. she bout was making her an extra $100 a month pocket change off that car. Her paying tickets had nothing to do with giving her the account number to make car payments. I am surprised Judge Mathis gave the defendant money back as she used the car. They should’ve never made an agreement to give them their money back and exchange for the car, she should’ve just gave that girl the account number and let her paid directly. Like I said the payments probably wasn’t even $350 and she didn’t want her to know. And it couldn’t have been on Repo list because she still has the car.
the plaintiff looks very nice, I'm sorry 😞
This what makes it hard to help people. Cause people act entitled.
