What makes the batmobile for me is less about the actual car but how the car is portrayed. What the reveal scene captured wasnt just a batmobile, it was an angry demon thirsty for a kill and i loved it
The one thing I took away from the movie about the Batmobile was the sound when it starts up in the alley. It looked cool in the garage but the car came to life with the low burble of V8 mixed with the high pitched whine of turbine, just so awesome. It immediately turned from a prop to an actual character when it starts up!!!
The asymetric flame popping from the front engine nearly made me chear aloud in cinema. One of 3 shots from this movie I will remember. The other 2 are Battinson walking towards Penguin with flames in the background and the dark fighting scene lighted only by machine pistol fire.
For me a moment I will always remember was when the batcave appeared for first time, and there was a shot of the batmobile's engine sitting there. A bunch of people on the cinema gasped, including me. My friend asked why, I pointed the engine. It's absolutely nasty to strap two turbos on a humongous V10 engine, but I didn't know how to explain to my non-car people friends how that engine was a warning to what was coming
Overly large drag turbos some people missed the infamous forshadowing but the gearheads were this "hotrod" batmobile is gonna be badass!! It was the ultimate tease to an utterly demonic batmobile. My buddies were clueless until the chase scene happened..then pulled the Alfred hushed dear god lol!!
@@LordEmperorHyperion This Batmobile is made by Bruce (and probably Alfred) in a cave, the Tumbler was made by Fox and Wayne Tech to be used in wars. This one is more realistic for early batman

Great research. I read where all the shots they did with the flames (coming out the rear and the engine bay in the front) were filmed using the electric car to avoid flammable gasoline. I'm guessing from a design perspective they wanted the rear engine to power the "jet Engine turbine" and the front engine was the standard V-8 driving the vehicle. At least that is why it made sense to me to have two engines.
"In universe" the vehicle only has one engine. The real props have the "real" engine concealed because the visible engine -- especially the rear flame --- could never work.
That was kind of my take-away from the movie: that the car must have a big V8 in front that is the main driving power to the wheels (exhaust flames under the hood), and the rear engine is supposed to be more of a jet engine for strategic power boosts, like jumping the car thru the flaming semi truck. But what really matters is that THIS Batmobile in THIS chase scene was a huge adrenaline rush and played out almost like a scene from a horror movie.
I'm not a car-person and barely understood any of the specific terms used in the video but I still am going to watch it fully because I only have sheer respect for the amount of knowledge and dedication someone has to have to be this nerdy about the Batmobile. This batmobile is a character but also a monster. The hair on the back of your neck is supposed to stand on end when this monster makes it's onscreen debut in the alley. Excellent video. I'm excited to see what you do next. Thanks!
Regarding the steering wheel, there are several enthusiast companies that custom machine steering wheels (and other company) out of aluminum like Evodindustries and Sparktech, so being that a steering wheel would be very prominent in POV shots, I’d guess it was custom made for whatever look the designer wanted, either in-house or outsourced to a fab shop like the ones mentioned .
You easily see this Batmobile turning more comic book inspired car while retaining the real life flare and sound of a suped up muscle car. Arkham games inspire shit I love it
Psssst! there's an alternator on the rear engine. It's right there on the passenger side. The pulley is facing *forward* to interface with the serpentine belt. Some OEMs actually do it this way for packaging. It's literally in the shot where you're saying that "power isn't being generationer by an alternator." :P
One more note - if you remove the balance bar between the two brake pedals on the running car, I wonder if you get steering brakes consistent with a dune buggy?

I hope eventually they show Foxx and he looks over and the batmobile and says I like what you did but I can do better.
I would absolutely love a scene where Bruce and Lucius collaborate a la Bruce Banner and Tony Stark (except it of course has to fit Matt Reeves's Batverse)
@@CinemotiveShopcraft bro as a batman fan I would flip my sh*t!!!.....
BAT FACTS
Doodes with an autophile chromosome be losing their minds
It looks like The evil car the car movie.
But is a copy of a 1969 charger. Bad ass Car
This is getting away from Christopher Nolan bad ass jet powers military batmobile.
Also i like that in the movies they give him a lot of rare or concept cars like the mercedes in the flash. Really shows the stupid money he has. They do the same with iron man
I don’t know if anyone else caught that Donut Reference, but it was legit the funniest thing I’ve seen today 😂
This batmobile is a character but also a monster. The hair on the back of your neck is supposed to stand on end when this monster makes it's onscreen debut in the alley.
Excellent video. I'm excited to see what you do next. Thanks!
The funniest part of the of the starting of the batmobile, is that the sound is the whistling rocket at 800% slow
IYKYK about that opening segment. 10/10 subscribed.
This Batman film for me is like watching Shin Godzilla. A film that essentially goes from the source and reinvigorate it in a way.
Dude, bravo. A staggering amount of work. Would definitely be interested in a follow up video! Subscribed and can't wait for your next video.
Thank you!!! I'm glad you enjoyed 😊
Yeah..he call on the Kz 1000😀👍💯
THE NEW BATMAN MOVIE WAS TOP SHELF....VAMPIRE GUY DID A GREAT JOB!
I want a cat woman video NOW!!!!!
also.... I like how he referenced Donut Media.... "I understood that reference"
Awesome awesome movie. If you Love Batman and the Arkham games this is your movie.
To get up to speeeeeeed!!!!!! On the Batmobile!!!!!!!! *lightning lightning lightning*!!!!
Right up there with the vehicles from Mad Max Fury Road .
Loved the intro lol, i was like isn't that Donut media intro but still loved the skit 😂👍
The most down-to-earth batmobile ever! I though the #tumbler was, but this one beats it.
You easily see this Batmobile turning more comic book inspired car while retaining the real life flare and sound of a suped up muscle car. Arkham games inspire shit I love it
The tumbler is still my favorite but this is a close second. I like the way they handled the batmobile in this movie tho.
I KNEW IT WAS A CHARGER!!.... MY GUT TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A CHARGER AND I WAS RIIIIGHT!!!
The sheer amount of research that must've went into this video is staggering
Also love how you're a gear head AND a movie nut!
Sucks!!!!
Could the rear engine just be a shell to cover up the burner from a hot air balloon?
You definitely earned the like and follow with this one. Cheers!
Wow!
I'm not really a gear head, but i do like how detailed you got with the Bat vehicles!
Don't forget, apparently this is 2 years into Batman's "career". Still a pretty dope batmobile for 2 years in.
This car was created from the last fast n furious Dom charger.
I don't know shit about cars but good god this video is interesting
allot need is a gloss black paint job with red pin-striping
The car is focuseo on tranportation and chasing, not gadget tool.
This is everything you need to know to get up to speed🤣🤣🤣
Psssst! there's an alternator on the rear engine.
If i had stupid money I'd have one built for me
Definitely my favorite batmobile so far. Amazing video!
IMAX is cool and all but the Super Emax from emagine theaters is bigger and better and i loved watching the movie on that!
One day 😊
Incredible, thx for making this
Not cool very not cool
As a Donut fan I appreciate that reference in the beginning
Love that they went a a Dodge model, and the chosen one that had been the General Lee as well
subbed ... good luck with the channel, will chat again at 10k subs...... oh yeah , and do the Eagle 5 :)
Awesome recommendation!! 🚐
Nice donut reference 😂😂
Got a like and subscribe from me. Yours is the best video on this new, and best, interation of the Batmobile. When it was powering up then finally goes, OMG its an endless exciting chase scene. Really good stuff... and great job by you..
