I laughed so hard when they played cannon in D, and the cellists face was completely expressionless! This is the kind of stuff that only orchestra nerds get!
+The Viewer yeah. I'm a violinist. My favorite moment of orchestra was always when a couple of my cello friends would be having conversations between each other during that song. My teacher back in 6th grade was also a cellist, so she kinda just let it go. Best memory ever!
Now, I've played violin for a while, but I don't believe I've gotten this reference. What is it about playing Canon in D with an expressionless face that is an inside joke? Can someone explain it to me?

Love this sooo much!!!! I appreciate it a lot more because I myself play the cello. These pieces are actually really hard to play nicely. Great job!!!!
I completely agree, this video is so beautiful, the cello part especially. I started violin in fourth grade but I wish I could go back and choose cello because wow is it powerful :)
It's not until I watch these videos that I wish I could go back and stay in Violin practice... Bullying pressured me out of it, and I wish that I had just dealt with it...
I'm sure you can work it out, persevere and you can accomplish just about anything. You can get back into the violin, it's never too late to start something again.
+UntrainableWizard you are very welcome, I just hope my words have had some positive effect, however minor that may be given that I am a complete stranger.
+UntrainableWizard That's such a shame! I am a violinist and I began reasonably late at 14 because when I was younger, I was always interested in the intstrument but everybody said it was a 'girls' instrument etc, schoolchildren can be rediculous! It doesn't matter when you start, i've only been playing for a few years and now i'm pretty much accomplished so if you practise and stay determined you will succeed as well. Best wishes! :)
ZJStrudwick I've planned to start practicing round a friends house, they teach music, so I think it was a good choice. Hopefully I can progress with it and starting this late won't affect it too much. Thank you for your support. It's a stupid thing looking back when I refused to learn.
I wonder if back in the 19th century, if they also had technology and foresee the future's music, would they put more classical music than the music today?
Oh ok. If instead somehow some people made their own version of this video, where they compile the best songs, and at the same time can foresee the future and know today's music, would they have included more classical songs than modern songs in their video?
Secrets by One Republic at the end, right? God, I would recognize that anywhere having constantly listened to Bryson Andres's street performance d video of it.
Canon, Let it Be, Jaws was great! Nokia was funny. ACDC, omg, never knew it oculd be played so great on a violin and bass, great fan of Jack Sparrow, and and Secrets was so moving.
+Dom McClain Lol not that much, A lot of people cant differenciate between double bass and cello. Just in case you didn't know how to classify, Look up the images, A cello has a 'Large sized violin' kind of look, But on the double bass, the shape is a bot different near the end of the neck.
I keep coming back to this video for years. The cello in this video is like one I have ever seen before!!! Congrats to the both of you for making such a great masterpiece!!!
This piece is so amazing. We had two high schoolers come in today to talk to us about the high school orchestra and they played this. I can't wait until I can learn it!!

GamerXian 100 bucks will get you a cheap one don't go cheaper than 70 bucks tho or u will 100% for sure have to have work done and on something that cheap its not worth it. also I wouldn't sell the guitar so short there are lots of songs that fit your description I think you may be just looking in the wrong areas either way hope what ever instrument you decide on works out for you music is a wonderful thing.

0:48 LOL, random guy. This is amazing, why can't I do this... Hmm, *Steals their hands*... Why didn't it work! EDIT: Loving that 'Smooth Criminal', 'Back in Black', 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and the song at 4:30 (Killing me that I can't remember it)...
not technically the theme song. but it is from that franchise. you are confusing "jack sparrow" with "HE'S A PIRATE". The one they played could be concidered a sub theme.
Wow! This is beautiful! I really enjoyed the combination of all the wonderful music pieces put together into one great song! All of these songs come from different time periods and parts of the world! I play the cello and this is a beautiful work of art!!! I really enjoyed the Jaws Theme Song, that turned into a classical music piece.

If someone would put all of this into sheet music that would be legit
You can get the music for each song and just rearrange it.

There's been such a change the past century with so many styles
There's been many changes, trends, styles and movements before the 1900s, but to most people I guess it all sounds the same.
That's what I meant. Plus, judging from the cellist's face, I'm pretty sure they enjoyed the more recent styles more.
Well, this is UA-cam, people don't understand the differences between Baroque and Classical era music
I really loved how they blended all the songs together
i like it how an iphone has the ringing tone of nokia😂

also, this is such a cool video!
+Kassandra Wang believe me, that piece isn't all that much fun for the violins either :)
+Kassandra W Trust me, I did a piano duet with a friend, and was the person playing the base line. Those two bars on repeat were driving me nuts, and my friend doing the melody was also influencing me, causing me to mess up.

+Kassandra W lol dats so tru XD
I love this and I don't even play in orchestra.
You don't have to be in music industry to appreciate music.
+summer young I think that's the case with 99% of us.
Oh I play flute in wind ensemble in band. :) I can appreciate this music though.
+summer young Same, I play piano and I really want to form somewhat of a band with a cellist and a violinist, but you know... I got no friends XD
XxlaraCrof7xX
One-person band XD Forever alone...
I have the same issue and it sucks.
i actually started to tear up at the end. does music have that effect on anyone else
Yes and as a musician it is very annoying
***** because when your playing a cello in front of a huge hall of people the last thing you want to do is cry... its really embarasing
Not really it was just these few bars that really got to me, luckly I'm part of an orchestra so it wasn't to bad but I was at the front sooo...
***** Glad your an optimist
+Victoria Martin the worst part is when it's your last piece for the year being in orchestra/band and its just omg
i love watching string players. they're so into the music.
I've never heard any combination of instruments that compliment each other as well as the Cello and Violin.
Nice work!!!!!!! thumbs up!!! Why cant I like 2 times 😞 you are so talented! !!

One and a half minute is a summary of about 500 years music. The rest is recent or actual comercial music...
RIP J.S.Bach
I wonder if back in the 19th century, if they also had technology and foresee the future's music, would they put more classical music than the music today?
wtf does this question intend to ask?
ThePetaaaaaa because i feel that trending things are the more popular ones and not the very old ones. But in my opinion classical music is better
iOSMinecraft120 I asked what your question intended to ask. It makes no grammatical sense
Oh ok. If instead somehow some people made their own version of this video, where they compile the best songs, and at the same time can foresee the future and know today's music, would they have included more classical songs than modern songs in their video?

Words cannot describe how cool this is.
I keep coming back to this video for years. The cello in this video is like one I have ever seen before!!! Congrats to the both of you for making such a great masterpiece!!!
The evolution of music is complex thing... but if one thing is for certain...
Asians were the driving factor.
Michael Ojcius lol, I would say the English
Just a prank. See, the Asians were the only thing that didn't evolve in this video lol.
Yeah Asian music didn't really get to evolve as they had constant pressure to take Western values and music.
ASIANS YA!
Lel
Seems legit! How long did it take you to write that much ;O
they need to update this.
Smooth criminal was the best part
I agree 👍
👍👍
+Natalie Rodriguez yes... MJ FOREVER

10 years later and its still a great vid xD popped up on my youtube home for some reason
no more sleightlymusical only albie
HOW SOMEBODY CAN DISLIKE THIS
because they emphasise on their video so much that a lot of notes were out of tune. And the overall "music playing" quality wasn't that good
like u can do better
yea son
if you study music you dislike this....simply.
cello was a little more accurate even if it was an easier part
I want a violin and keyboard ;-;... a guitar doesnt sound as gentle as violins or pianos.. but dont get me wrong, guitar are still awesome...
Get a violin, It'll be hard as fuck but very rewarding.
But I dont know how much it costs to get one ;-; Is a 100$ one good or bad? xD
GamerXian No idea. The one I've got probably costs more than my life. Family of musicians, you know? Got it from Grandma, it belonged to Jan Kubelík.

I came from U.S Modern Politics debate... this is very soothing
Never knew I wanted Smooth Criminal on the Violin...
Wow! This is beautiful! I really enjoyed the combination of all the wonderful music pieces put together into one great song! Kamil Szymczakowski that's ur opinion... I hate old songs... canon is the only good old song... Michael Jackson, and all the other stuff is trash to me
Kamil Szymczakowski oh no. Ur not one of those. "born in the wrong decade" douchbags are you?
You're kidding, right? Michael Jackson is trash? Go reevaluate your life.
Dude, After that they were also GREAT songs : The Beatles, Michael Jackson.
They are the greatest entertainers of all time.
Y'all are awesome!!! The transitions are so smooth! I also loved the pieces that you chose to incorporate. FANTASTIC!
Melhor vídeo de violino e cello 👏👏😱😍😍
i love that song at 3:48 secrets by onerepbulic
It is!
ikr XD
Absolutely amazing!!! But I noticed the chellist's C&G strings were really loose, but in tune. Is it safe to play like that? (I wouldn't know, I'm a violinist).
If they were any tighter, they probably would have been out of tune so I don't know, maybe he needed new strings.
+Purple Panda lol I don't think that's it; even if you play as hard as possible there's no way it could move that much. And I know nothing about cellos too xD
I'm a cellist. Trust me, it's completely normal.
the camera makes the strings look much looser than what they really are it also does this for all string instruments something about frame rates
He is just pressing down really hard. It happens to me too! (I play cello)
these guys are awesome! I love the transitions, Red ties, and music ☆v☆
Anyone still here?
I come back all the time
Wasn't that Jack Sparrow song also created by Klaus Badelt?
I think Hans Zimmer created that masterpiece
Leo gaming And, I think he didn't do it alone. He had the help of Klaus Badelt.
Unless I'm mistaken, Badelt is listed as the main composer for some of the movies as Zimmer is the one listed for the others. I think they each wrote their share of the tracks in the soundtracks
Anyone see the G string on the violin wobble at 1:02??
Seems like you guys had a lot of fun with this. Awesome work!
LOLLLL "*Mommy* Hello? Umma? Uhh i'm recording right now" omggggg that's meeee
