A Les Miserables Medley - One Man Orchestra Cover
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- After watching the musical and the movie, I fell in love with the emotional and powerful songs found in Les Miserables. Working off the orchestral score (sorry no arrangement this time!), I transcribed nearly every part to be played on violin, viola, and piano. Therefore, everything you see and hear in the video is performed by me (over 40 tracks). The songs in the medley are:
I Dreamed a Dream
Bring Him Home
On My Own
Do You Hear the People Sing
If you enjoyed this rendition, please help me out by liking/sharing this video! And for the first time, I now have the track available on iTunes if you would like to help support me in my production of future videos! Thanks so much!

My husband and I had the first 3 songs of your medley played as we walked into the church with our wedding party! Your music started off our wedding in the best way possible!
Brian Kelly YOU STARTED OF YOUR WEDDING WITH COPIOUS AMOUNTS OF DEATH AND DEPRESSION
😂😂😂
@@songbirdemerald2433 well if you put it that way it's bad
Damn.... I really need to stop listening to pieces like this so late at night, when i am in such need of sleep
ArwensHubby totally meeeeee
ArwensHubby God, same!!!!!!!!!!
This is like the 4th video I've watched in a row (While I'd should be doing homewok). Just beautiful.
+Andrea Molina Yeah, and I've got house work and a garden to weed. I guess it doesn't matter what age .. we like good music.
+Andrea Molina I just listen to it while doing it xD
+Andrea Molina hahaha that is literally the exact same thing I was doing- I found this while I was looking for a good homework soundtrack!
Me too
+Andrea Molina Me too :/ oops...
im loving the subtle costume changes with every song change.
Why would 44 people come here to listen to this amazingly talented young violinist and then 'thumbs down' the video?
We did this for a local play and got 5th in the national drama competition. But it didn't matter what place we got it was by far the best production we ever did. The cast were so close we're all still friends today! I did tear up at bring him home because it was my favourite song thank you for bringing back such amazing memories x
I am 67 years old. There is no movie or play, for me, that is more dependent on the music than is Les Miserables. The actors can be anyone. The music is the power and glory of the story. Nice job here.
After watching a few videos of yours, I'd like to leave you with an encouragement: God really has blessed you with this great talent, may He continue to use you as His instrument for His purposes. Peace Brother.
4:22 YESSS YES YES YES YES GO FOR IT YESSS, OH MY GOD I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
SAME!
What is the name of the violinist?
The Les Mis and Into The Woods soundtracks always get to me
Min Hoseok INTO THE WOODS YES
ARMY and Doctor Who fandom in one comment thread holy shit
Min Hoseok I have clearly found my people
Anyone in the Sherlock fandom too?
I'm glad to find this in my recommendations...
Jethro Combate Absolutely the same....!
I first heard Les Mis as a teen and it was already a hit for me then. Decades later, it is still among one of my favorite soundtracks/musicals to listen to. I love that more people make their own works on it because one of the best things I like is to hear all different interpretations of my favorite music.
One of my favorite musicals on my favorite instruments, YES!!!
And now my musical addiction to Les miserables has yet returned, thank you
Dude you made me cry... and im suppose to be this big tough guy.
I have been slowly collecting all the equipment! I started off mostly borrowing equipment from friends until I could afford to buy a mic/camera/lens/etc. Essentially now, I can produce most my own videos and music. Aside from having friends record the video for me, I record all the audio and edit everything myself.
All my favorite songs from the musical.
I don't know what to say dude.... you made me cry.... such incredible emotion in your music.
Though I love the lyrics to the songs, the instrumentals stir something deeper in me. I can't say enough about this musical. I saw the movie just before I was diagnosed with cancer. I have survived, and the music got me through some very scary times, but also encouraged me trust God's plan and continue to be His instrument.
Dude, I dreamed a dream is tear jerking
Wow-- I'm simply awestruck by how gorgeous this is. When he transitioned into "Bring Him Home," shivers went down my spine.
Thank you for not including the disruptive inn-keeper music. This was very well orchestrated. I'll be listening to this multiple times.
One of my favourite medleys from Les Mis. The music is lovely and so is the arrangement of violin/viola/piano
"J'avais rêvé d'une autre vie~"
Beautiful Medley :)
That was SO good! He definitely deserves every subscription that has been made to his channel!!!!
i can't be the only one who thought of Jem Carstairs from the infernal devices when i was watching this. BEAUTIFUL PLAYING BTW OMG
Hannah Rose you and me both, and now i am crying...
Hannah Rose Same. Jem was the one who inspired both my username and to learn the violin.
I THOUGHTS OF HIM TOO
+Hannah Rose Yes! It made me think of Jem too.
OMG SAME WTH
No, I'm not crying, there is just some great music in my eye
I can't hear "Do You Hear the People Sing?" without hearing the Epilogue with it...
it is the epilogue
Perfection. Just sheer perfection. Oh my god. Excuse me while I pass out on the floor crying uncontrollably
The transition into "bring him home" was wonderfully done truly amazing
I play this medley and sing to it when I'm alone (or On My Own)(Pretending He's playing his violin Beside Me). What he did with the songs is awesome. I play violin and man, I hope to be this great one day
We sang the full score medley in my college choir. Bring Him Home makes me cry every time I hear it!
Wow...just...wow. this is one of the most moving pieces i have ever seen, and to have it being played by just 1 person is truly a feat that is unlikely to be beaten!
Is there a "love" button on this? Amazing! ( crying ) :')
Am I the only person watching this in 2019 and still loving it
After listening for 20 seconds, I decided to add the clip to my private playlist.

Purely beautiful Albert! Les Miz and the original London cast would be proud.

Your Instrument's voice Release me and my emotion.
I love it when I close my eyes and listen
This was/still is the best 5 minutes and 20 seconds of my life...
What you are doing now is beautiful, I love every moment of it!
This is the most epic thing I've ever seen as far as les mis medleys go...
i was like an eminem kind of guy, but u hit my soft side for this music. Amazing bruh!
How did you get here😄
sure, because Eminem's music is the toughest ever.
It's because eminems' songs are rap songs. Meaning, he likes rap songs, but because of this video right here, he liked these kinds of music where it's mainly violin and all of that stuff. That's what he meant, he did not even state that Eminems' songs are tough you dumb fuck. You know how to read, yes, but you do not know how to understand. Piece of shit.
XD savage response, lol!
It’s like how I really love rock music but then I discovered Les Mis. And now my musical heart has 2 halves.
This filled my heart with joy and my eyes with tears....so beautiful!!! Thank you!!!
This video gets me every time! Like, I hear one note and I'm just dead. What can get more beautiful and great than this?
The ending making the french falg was EPIC.
Everything was so beautiful from how you played each individual song to how you blended them together. Truly just amazing. Nine people must have hit the dislike button on accident
Wow, it was raining outside not so long ago. And when I watched this amazing video, the sun came out and the rain went away. Cool. Beautiful one-man orchestra music, by the way~
The beginning reminds me of in marching band when we did this and I had a saxophone solo. The music the way you performed it hits me right in the feels.
i think it was so beautfull it made me cry never stop playing. it makes me so happy so do not stop.I love on my own and do you hear the people sing thank you for making me so happy
Your editing is so smooth and gently transitioned that it makes the music even better
Viola part sounds amazing. The sound of viola is so touching :)
Please, never stop playing music.

This gave me shivers.
Keep up the amazing work- you are so talented. Some day, the world will know of you.
Amazing.
he wore the hat as eponine. That was a beautiful performance. Your violin has a nice sound.
This guy's hands are gorgeous!
Would LOVE to hear you do a "Phantom of the Opera" medley--and if you do, please, please, please include "Music of the Night." That is pretty much my favorite, out of all Webber's songs..IMO, you can't have a POTO medley and not have "Music of the Night." That, to me, is THE quintessence of who Erik, the Phantom, is.
I know right?! That would be amazing!
okay i didn't begin to watch the video yet but I just want to post that you are amazing before I tart listening because honestly, I might start to cry fom the beauty and not be able to comment; I won't have the words to describe this masterpiece I never thought could be created.
Beautifully played! So soothing to the ears. Keep up the amazing work!
That is a lovely scarf...and music, of course.
beautiful now that is what i call this music
This is just brilliantly put together! You really captured Les Mis through strings and this sounds like it could belong on the soundtrack!
I'm entranced by your videos, my friend and am so glad to have found this medley. Keep this beautiful work up so that the world can always be enlightened with your music! :)
Holding back tears at bring him home
You are amazingly talented. Thank you for sharing that talent with us!
I absolutely LOVE the sound of string instruments, and this cover gave me the chills. Well done. Absolutely beautiful.
