I know how he did it, yes it watched it twice, but I find it fascinating how simple it really is yet how the way he does it makes it so much better.
    If you are wondering:
He has two red chips, there is pretty much always one in each hand, you may notice that it is always the red chip that changes hand. Go watch it again but with that information and you will realise that it makes total sense.

I’m here cause I just found out you actually fooled them. I remember watching this the first time. When I first read up on Bo Bo I lacked the confidence to do coin routines with extra coins and I couldn’t afford gimmicks, so I learned a few of David Roth’s routines with only 4 coins. I didn’t know about flapper coins at that time and had to use your own routine here to learn the timing to do it myself. I actually did a version of this throwing the coin over my back into thin air and dropping it down my jacket or shirt pocket, tbh it looks more natural that way..anyway I wanted you to know it’s great to see some of those book methods come to life and you were a inspiration to me, glad to find out you did fool them!

    • @Hiltok

It can be done by using gimmick chips or by pure sleight of hand. P&T just named the trick and assumed he was using gimmick chips (because it was so good live) but then they found out later that he did it by pure sleight of hand - which means that he did in fact fool them. He agreed they knew how he did it because he knows they know it can be done with sleight of hand and believed they had picked up his technique.

its typically because its easier to control one coin, i wont give away the secret to the trick, but what's so fantastic about it is because its not coins, its chips, its supposed to be infinitely harder to control all three properly, make the green one disappear then reappear then blue etc, but he just does this because it LOOKS harder, but he's still only controlling one coin ideally, if that makes sense? bahaha im not the best at explaining magic

@@bmbl.b the misdirection really all comes down to that one red chip. it’s a simple trick, but sometimes the simplest of tricks are the best; they don’t need to be super elaborate and complicated to be effective. Teller, unarguably one of the best sleight of hand magicians alive, was fooled by a man and a bunch of oreo cookies. in another episode P & T were fooled by a guy with 3 walnut husks and a cork pea. not diminishing the skill that any of these tricks required to pull off, but sometimes simplicity is just such a beautiful thing, isn’t it :)

For me the illusion broke immediately when I noticed that its the red chip that switches hands and then I just knew he had two red chips, one in both hands

Obviously no one should answer this, but...Penn says that's it's not just a version of 3 Fly (to which Simon nods), but 'the best' version of 3 Fly. Since Penn later admitted that they hadn't gotten it and that Simon was in fact a Fooler, does that mean he didn't do the best version of 3 Fly after all? X3

The red chip is the only one that went “magically” from one hand to the other.
