Maybe Hogworkz have changed but i just install a set on my 2023 streetglide and had no issues getting them to tighten up or to line up any of the screws. Also the Hog workz have a larger vent opening and allow more air through when the vent is open. I would by again. Very easy to put together and install
I have hogwerkz lower fairings without speakers on my 2017 street glide special for 7 years and they went on perfectly and still look great. . I’m not exactly mr mechanic and mine turned out great.
as one other chap said the issue is these are 2 different models. pre 2014 and post 2014. the original harely pre '14's were just as much a pain as the hogworkz one. i had them on my '07. a bunch of fiddling and wrapping some wire loom to build out the crash bar so it was not loose. the '14 and up ones, the cheapies, are a much better design and fit way easier. probably reduces the cuss word component by about 90% good information for anyone wanting to do lowers. i assume that the '14 up will fit on the pre '14's since i easily mounted the pre'14's on my 2019 with only a minor modification. we are putting these ones on my buddies 2007 but not till spring
@@eduardoloya9437 we never actually got around to putting them on. he was going to get it wrapped in stone film to protect from stones, but he never got to it. the damn guy would be a procrastinator if he ever got around to that. i do assume they fit since the 07 style fit my 2019. again, you might have to trim a bit but it should go right on
2020 SGS $99 Amazon lowers an chopped tour pack $299 paint matches perfect been caught in the rain A few times including5 straight hours on the way to Johnstown. 4years in paint still perfect no leaks. The only complaint I can make that's not even a big deal when I'm riding and wanna open or close the vent its a little snug but always works.
After doing a month of research and deciding, I was all set to buy the Hogworkz brand. Then I saw this video and I’m glad I didn’t instead I went with this exact set from Amazon by TCMT. They arrived today and they are really nice quality. The paint is flawless and matches perfectly. I’m gonna try to install them tomorrow I just hope my Kuryakyn extended brake pedal works with them because I do not like my OEM pedal. So thanks for making this video!
My work here is done! I got through to someone and saved them the pain I went through with Hogworkz 😝. You should check out softbreak.com. They have a reduced angle break pedal and a reduced clutch lever too that are awesome.
@@RealRonTV I have his levers and like them a lot. The one I need is a wide +1. But no worries because even with 160.00 for the pedal I’m still saving $$. Then I can sell my Kuryakyn. But thanks again for the video, keep adding more content👍
What are you talking about? Hogworkz only offered the one that I tried to install. There were no options for any others. The fitment wasn’t a problem. It’s the design. Just not as strong and easy to install as the Amazon brand.
@@RealRonTV first thanks for the review. I was interested in the material quality of the TCMT lower and your video showed me it's pretty good. What the previous commenter is trying to tell you is that the Hogworkz lower fairing is the old style lower fairing that was on 2013 and previous models. The TCMT is the newer RUSHMORE style that comes on 2014+ models. It's weird that Hogworkz doesn't offer the newer style (and most think it is much better).
@@joetaranto22 wow they should at least update their site to tell you that. How a company that big doesn’t update their product is mind boggling. I followed their video instructions on the heat shield and it was out of date too. Cost me loads of heartache and pain lol.

I BOUGHT THE AMAZON BLACK LOWERS FOR MY 2020 HERITAGE. THE HOGWORKZ TYPE IS MADE WITHOUT ALL THAT IN THERE.,.... GOT MY SPEAKERS IN AND ITS OK,.... IT WOULD COST $638.00 TO GET THE COLOR MATCHED ONES FOR MY BIKE SO I JUST GOT BLACK.
So.... do the lower fairings reduce the wind buffeting/turbulence? I'd like to put some lowers on the Electra Glide and don't need the speakers since I can't hear anything, anyway!
What floor boards and rear break arm are you running? The look very similar to the FLO Moto boards but I can tell they are not. I went with the Thrashin adjustable rear break arm 2” shorter than stock and have it set to its lowest setting. The pad sits 2” off the floorboards. I see yours is also lower than stock.
Do these come preassembled? The ones I sent back from eBay came in a lot of small pieces and many bolts but no instructions. AND it was a faded black, not vivid to match my bike.
The one I received had the speaker pods already installed. You just have to make a cutout to run the wires and attach the bolts to the crash bars and back plate of the pods.
Upon reviewing the video, it appears that you may struggle with spatial orientation and exhibit signs of impatience. It's important to consider that these challenges may not be related to the product itself, but rather to the individual's preferences and needs.
@@RealRonTV they don’t but the design for the 15 changed on the crash bars slightly which makes it difficult for that cap to fit just right. I had the same problem and the dealer said that was the issue. Like you I was pissed but after talking with the dealer wasn’t.
