This guy gave up. No more updates.
Nope. I’m safely home and working on the first full episode of the trip.
Great video and setup…question how did you route your wires from battery back to rear fender to hide wires?
@@joesmyth1344 thank you. Under the seat.
terrible video. , all that talking and i still don't know
Maybe I should slow it down for you and add subtitles?
My computer has no sound. So which is it, Amazon or Hogworkz hosin'?
Can you still see behind you using your mirrors?
How’s your trip going so far
What pegs/mini floorboards are you using and how are they on a super long ride like this?
Crossthread cycles. I love them especially the stable platform they give you when you stand on them.
@@RealRonTV Thanks. Stay safe out there brother!
Wonder if your chain tension wasn't too tight? There was no sag in it at all.
Hey Ron. I did basic aviation training (USMC 6332) at NAS Millington in 1984/1985. Did we maybe cross paths?
Nope, I was there in 1992 😆
My 03 is the same way
That was the craziest thing…OmG
Palm beach Harley should sponsor me with what I’ve been putting this bike through 😆
@@RealRonTV to funny
You had them mounted incorrectly. The bracket was flipped around. The way you had them mounted, the fans were too far away from the heads. If you had the bracket on correctly. they would have been mounted up against the heads where they are supposed to go. Don't blame the manufacturer when you've not mounted them properly.
If you say so!
@@RealRonTV I would not expect any other kind of reply from a person like you.
@@robertschulz5293 lmao. Ok tough guy. Go troll someone else’s page. The world needs keyboard warriors like yourself.
I told you to get a GS. They like them
Hi,what did u use for amp
Safe travels brother
You need to be moving too so that air will help cool it down! I turn mine on when I hit town they help but you gotta be moving! Not a fair test!
Not a fair test? Their website shows the numbers on a test bike without moving. Do what you want.
Why are Harleys so defective
Maybe a little of all 3. Weather can get crazy.
Iron man
You’re taking a gun across the border? I have a suggestion for the seat. I had the same issue about a week into our trip. I used an inflatable donut between 2 sheep skins. Duct tape it to the bottom of the top sheepskin and it’s amazing. Thank me later.
I bought the Wild Ass inflatable bladder cushion. It’s a game changer!
Go get it Brother !!!
Be strong Ron, be safe. God bless. No shame in erring in the side of safety.. if ya see Aunty's Em's house, say hello.
What size bit did you use to drill out the hole for the tweeters?
Thanks for buying the bike from my dealership Ron
Great bike!
@@RealRonTV glad you love it bro
You are holding a good speed…watch out for the flying cows…lol
Hey Ron, duck in every morsel of this Bucket list
What is the electronic LCD display on the left side of the bars, near the mirror mount?
It’s a Scottoiler automatic chain line system.
Right on! Stay safe, and warm Ron!
i envy you taking this trip. Hope you get better riding conditions.
Good news is you’re not going to need half of that gear. And hope you are carrying a sidearm because a gun buried in that saddle bag isn’t going to help. Ride safe ✌️
My sidearm is ready to go! 😊
Had the same thought about the gun being in the bag. I'd also have kept that my little secret from the youtube world just for the possibility of someone following your GPS location and knowing where to steal it.
not only is it locked, but it’s never out of my sight and they still have to get through me. 😂

Safe travels, brother! 👍
Looking forward for the next vid update, ride safe!
wait i'm confused, dont you have water cooled heads on that bike? your oil temp is 200 and your heads can safely go to 400 so i'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. riding the bike will cool the heads - dont know many people that idle for really long like 20-30 mins. You can JIMS Forceflow fan, supposedly much better than lovejugs - if you want to cool the heads but that'll give you only minus 10-15 degrees at best. Also harleys have EITMS mode which stops the rear cylinder from igniting and turns it to an air pump while you're idling. Be thankful that you have a watercooled bike, because us who do not are really suffering.
That bike wasn’t water cooled. Only the ultra is water cooled.

Before you know it your time will be here!
I subscribed and was excited to watch the series until I realized you immediately made it political.
Yeah I guess I’m not entitled to vote who I want to vote for?
@@RealRonTV I never said that, and for the record I don’t know who I’m voting for so I’m not here the judge. But one of the great things about riding is it’s an equalizer. You’re wearing a political shirt and you mention Biden verbally soon into the video. Just a preview of what’s likely to come on your channel, and nobody who’s looking for riding and adventure videos wants to think about that. Good luck on your trip. Ride safe.
@@bpowell1014well for the record I mentioned your president one time as being old. That’s it. No political statement other than my shirt. If that offends you then I’m sorry. Otherwise ride safe and vote for whomever you want.
@@RealRonTV hahaha. He’s not my president either. One final thought…you’re going to create an awesome series and hopefully it will grow in views over time. 2 years from now people are going to see or hear the political stuff in it and be like wow this series is old. You’re going to date yourself and people might not be interested. Just a thought. I think I’m going to subscribe. I’ll give you feedback as you go along 😂
@@bpowell1014thank you I appreciate that!
You should feed the bolts from the inside so you dont have those long studs ripping up your stuff while you ride, other than that good idea. Was looking at this while you were mounting it and thinking if you went solo seat or raised it a little you could mount box sideways moving the weight forward and you could mount a pad to it for a back rest. Weight being right over back tire like a passenger is definitely a better way to carry gear but if your bringing a friend or looking for some on the way forget about this idea.
Great idea! Thank you.
Have you ever tried camping with a hammock and tarp? Its been much more comfortable for me than sleeping on the ground
I might have to give that a try.
I’m looking to ride from Oregon to Florida Keys, so looking at a Pan America also
I’ll let you know how the ride is on this bike.
Don't need a Pan America for that trip, any bike made will make it.

What exactly did he do? I yell at my dogs if they are doing something they shouldn't be.
Wow, I don't have enough ink in my computer to give that much advice.....I'm a little confused about how you get a hand gun into Canada but that's another conversation. (buy a big can of bear spray in Canada ,you can't take any with you from the states.) Another thing that hits is time, the roads get worse as you get fother north in Canada. Ah, let's see there are no stores past Coldfoot or gas so you will probably need a small gas container for that stretch and you can't camp in Deadhorse so book a room before you arrive. Coldfoot has neat little rooms that are very comfortable and the restaurant has great food. Too late now but you can learn so much watching UA-cam video's of trips. As for the Beartooth Highway, it is the best MC road in the states, look into Cooke City while you are there. Yellowstone will not let you camp in a tent that whole area is loaded with bears. Wishing you the best it was the best trip I have ever done. I went up the Al-Can Highway and cam back on the Dease Lake Highway.
I got my handgun approved through the RCMP and the paperwork ready. I wasted money on bear spray I guess. I didn’t know you couldn’t cross with it. Makes zero sense that you can buy it on the other side of the border but can’t bring it in. 🤦🏼♂️
Don't try to bring a hand gun to Canada or your trip will be over fast. You can buy Bear spray in Canada.
@@glenryan6569not true.
Cool you got it approved are you a cop yourself if so it probably made it a lot easier. Canada is very strict on handguns so if you do get it across keep it out of sight because if someone sees you with it and reports you the cops will be on you like your America's Most Wanted and you be explaining yourself at gun point. If you have your paperwork you'll be ok but it won't be a good time.
I crossed into Canada with bear spray on a trip through Glacier national Park. No issues at all @@RealRonTV
Sounds like a great adventure, I've been riding 40 years now but just started doing cross country rides last year, for the same exact reason you mentioned lol, before hitting Bear Tooth Pass, you're so close to Glacier National Park/ the Road to the Sun lol a bucket list in itself,✌️
That part of the ride hasn’t really materialized yet. I’ll focus on that when I cross back into the US.
Damn I'm envious. If I could afford it I would go. Try not to get eaten by a grizzly
Ron, why not cross into Canada in Blaine Washington. If you haven't seen the PNW you'd been in for a treat....That way you've travel the USA from pillar to post. Take it from someone who's done the iron butt. That's not the way too start a 35 day trip man. That'll take the starch out of you from the get go, and leave you exhausted for days..Just my 2 cents bro. Either way ,enjoy yourself, The purpose is to relax and enjoy, not to be in a hurry, just to be in a hurry. Good luck young man....
I need to cross over into Coutts because that’s one of the only crossing that allows me to transport my firearm through.
Blaine won't allow that? You have to at least go and do Beartooth pass in Wyoming. I've travel all over the USA, and Beartooth is the most gorgeous road/pass America in my opinion has to offer....
@@craigsevyn beartooth on the way back
@@RealRonTV What were the criteria for something that is legal in Canada? I know they recently passed more laws against handguns so I am surprised they allow it at all. Pleased though.
@@BucktailResearch there are strict guidelines as to the size of the barrel etc. I have the approval to transport it through but not to carry it. However you can bet your ass it will be by my side when I’m tent camping incase any Grizzlies get a funny idea.
